Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., N.Y.

1. GC: You will have before you the entity [257] ..., N.Y., his physical, mental and business problems, his associates and his future welfare. You will go over these in detail, answering the questions he submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind; the associations, the activities of the entity [257]. Most or all of these we have had in one form or another before.

3. In the physical forces of the body we find at present rather an acute condition, and there must be precautions taken - else there may be serious reactions from cold, or adding to the already disturbed conditions in the mucous membranes of throat, head and bronchi; as well as the poor eliminations that are existent in the present.

4. Soon there should be a period of rest, for a week or ten days to two weeks, where it would be warm, and that the sun might have its reactions upon the body as well as water or bathing in sea water - as in California or the southern, eastern or western portions of Florida - but it should be in pleasant surroundings, and the body rest not where there are social activities that would only add to the activities of the body as to cause disturbance.

5. In the present we would have hydrotherapy; sweats, with good oil massages, and the Infra-Red or the Ultra-Violet Light - either or both of these would attune the body to remove the congestions in the present.

6. But we would set up eliminations. At the present time we would use mineral salts as Eno or Sal Hepatica or Rochelle or Epsom Salts, or the French Lick waters, or Honeyida [Hunyadi] waters. These have the minerals that are the basic active principles needed, and dependent upon how much of the sweats and hydrotherapy and rest would be taken.

7. But if there is exposure of the body, under the existent conditions, to the germs of cold or flu or the like, we may have bad results.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) Why has my body become so full of cold? (A) Just attracted the germ, owing to the acidity in the system, allowing the cold germ to germinate.

10. (Q) Why is the blood pressure so low? (A) Necessarily a reflex from the congestions throughout the body.

11. (Q) What makes eyes so heavy at times? (A) Poor eliminations. Poisons and toxic forces through the body.

12. (Q) Are B-plus vitamins now being taken good, or are there better ones? (A) As we find, this depends upon whether the system is in shape, or whether there are such conditions that these may add a stimulation or become a dross to the body. In the present B-plus are not very good for the body, unless more cold is eliminated. These taken under such conditions merely add a greater amount of drosses to be eliminated. Thus, when the cleansings are accomplished and the drosses are eliminated from body, these will be very well.

13. (Q) What is condition of colon now? (A) It's very satisfactory in the present.

14. (Q) Any warnings? (A) Not to take the character of foods to which the body knows that the conditions in the lymph circulation are allergic, that is, red meats or any form of the hops or the by-products of same.

15. (Q) How often should the hydrotherapy be given? (A) Dependent upon the general conditions. Whenever there is a sluggishness, the feeling of heaviness, oversleepiness, the tendency for an achy, draggy feeling, then have the treatments. This does not mean that merely because there is the daily activity of the alimentary canal there is no need for flushing the system. But whenever there is the feeling of sluggishness, have the treatments. It'll pick the body up. For there is a need for such treatments when the condition of the body becomes drugged because of absorption of poisons through alimentary canal or colon, sluggishness of liver or kidneys, and there is the lack of coordination with the cerebrospinal and sympathetic blood supply and nerves. For the hydrotherapy and massage are preventive as well as curative measures. For the cleansing of the system allows the body-forces themselves to function normally, and thus eliminate poisons, congestions and conditions that would become acute through the body.

16. (Q) Regarding mental and business problems: As to Starling book and Sugrue's outlines, and first chapter, what

257-254 Page 3

plan of attack is best for me to use with the following: Collier's or Sat. Eve. Post? (A) As indicated, Collier's is the preferable magazine; Simon & Shuster, the publisher. As we find, in the present they are very satisfactory; though there are questions in the mind of some as for other special periods that may require a change, but it may be indicated as to how they are to be handled. The approach, as we find, is through these channels indicated.

17. (Q) Warner Brothers or MGM for pictures? (A) As we find, neither of these would be the eventual one, but the approach or the anxiety in this direction may be through either of these. As to which will be best will depend upon what are the eventual outcomes, but it may be builded into either of these - or there may be another entirely.

18. (Q) Mutual Broadcasting or Blue Network? (A) For many reasons, the Mutual will be the better.

19. (Q) Is it best to combine three of these as one deal or handle each separately? (A) It may be either one, provided there are individuals who are interested in all three of the propositions. They may be handled as one or separately.

20. (Q) Is present chapter good enough to get best deal, or can it be improved upon by Sugrue? (A) As we find, it is good enough. For, as has been indicated there are other phases that are the main question. The present is good enough.

21. (Q) The outline of book - how is it? (A) This is very good.

22. (Q) Will publishing of book be affected by the war stopping in Germany or Japan? (A) Not as we find.

23. (Q) Is there an early expectancy on either or both countries suing for peace? (This will have bearing on book.) (A) Not from [257]'s standpoint.

24. (Q) Considering all conditions, at present, what amount should I seek from each source of prospective customer? (A) That again must be according to the desire that is created. As we find there has already been the prospective amount. Hold for it!

25. (Q) What are the new avenues for me to develop for use of the material? (A) These, if they are worked properly. Don't smatter it all over and then spoil each one of them! But these three channels should be the correct ones.

26. (Q) What individual will help me most in this sale of

257-254 Page 4

material, present and future? (A) These have already been contacted. Hold to those that you have.

27. (Q) How could the Holy Name Society be interested in this property? (A) This will be an after experience, rather than in the beginning.

28. (Q) Would it be as profitable as Simon & Shuster and associates? (A) No. This should come after, as indicated. These work from a different angle entirely, you see. [Starling of the White House was written by Thomas Sugrue and published by Simon & Shuster in 1946.]

29. (Q) As to my work for 1944, please tell me what plans to follow now, which will aid me to use all my resources to better the war effort and be ready for postwar development? (A) Follow out those lines that have already been set in motion as for the war efforts. Set about for an organization or place for the manufacture of the radio equipment, and as we find that in West Virginia would be well to keep considering seriously.

30. (Q) What is most direct avenue to accomplish this? (A) Be in the position for this to be handled by whatever group or organization the entity would be connected or associated with.

31. (Q) Should I see Barney Baruch or Governor Lehman? (A) This depends upon how much the entity itself expects to be in the political limelight. Lehman would be the better for the entity, as there should not be a division of purposes but the ability to use such as a part of the activities of the entity; not as the come-on man but rather as one close to those who make final decisions.

32. (Q) When should I see Somervell again? (A) These have already been set in motion; and as we find, as soon as it is practical the body will be notified.

33. (Q) Should I get in touch with Mrs. Roosevelt in any way now or later, as to my desires and abilities? (A) This depends upon how soon those conditions are to be set in motion regarding the properties indicated. As we find, it should be sometime after the return from a rest period.

34. (Q) In what particular movement on social welfare should I interest myself? (A) These activities have been outlined, in regard to social welfare concerning conditions in other lands.

35. (Q) What preparations should now be planned for Brunswick Radio future? (A) As just indicated, a place where the manufacture of

257-254 Page 5

same may be better controlled. It might be either in West Virginia or the combination with other plants considered, but keep in the West Virginia project, for it offers a chance for the better properties and it is closer to the supply of materials - which will be the problem in the first portion of the conditions after the war.

36. (Q) What investment program is now best for me to follow to conserve my assets for postwar needs? (A) These had best be closer in government properties and projects.

37. (Q) Is the farm purchase suggestion still advisable for the region between Washington and Norfolk? (A) These conditions have not changed. For the hardships for this country have not begun yet, so far as the supply and demand for foods are concerned. But the body may wait so long until prices will be prohibitive.

38. (Q) Should I enter plastic field with Universal Plastic Company of New Brunswick, New Jersey, with Edward Pollitz, Jr., for war uses and postwar development? (A) This will be a field to consider but neither of these is good for [257]. The plastic field itself is worthy of consideration, but there are questions as to the policies - it would be conflicting in either of these associations.

39. (Q) Please give me an outline to follow for best business development with due consideration to my mental and spiritual development? (A) This has been given so often that the question becomes absurd. As indicated, there must be a budgeting of time. Take time to recuperate, physically, mentally and spiritually; not merely by outward saying. For, if these are not done for this entity, as well as any other entity, the entity becomes either self-centered or lopsided in his estimates or values in a material or life experience. Take time to be holy. Take time to pray. Take time to rest, to study, to be an associate with individuals, to have the proper associates. Take time to work, and work like the devil when you are working at it! But, as ye profess, keep HOLY in the service of God and man.

40. (Q) According to my Life reading [257-10] I am to enter politics at some period of my later life. Is that to be recommended now and to be accomplished, or should I confine myself only to business? (A) As indicated, these activities are to come from associations with those connected with reconstruction in other lands.

257-254 Page 6

41. (Q) Should I plan to own a furniture factory to make radios and cabinets or to contract as in the past; if so, advise procedure? (A) As has been indicated.

42. (Q) Should I plan to remain in Scarsdale for 1944-45, in same house? (A) This depends upon whether there is to be the purchasing of other properties, as a farm or home, or as to what the decisions are. The environs of Scarsdale are very good, especially for the children. But for self, Washington, or near those environs would be better. This is dependent upon whether the children would be in other types of schools or had rather finish in their present environs. We would change both of them to specific directions in other schools, and then it would be a change for self - if desired. [GD's note: In the spring of 1945 he moved his family back into New York City.]

43. (Q) Advise me how Hugh Lynn Cayce can be ordered back to U.S. for duty. (A) By or through any of the channels that deal with that particular type of activity in the land, or those that prepare or give specific instructions or training for those in Special Service activities; or in the use of the individual in other or specific activities that would require service only in the U.S.A.

44. (Q) Through what department is this done? (A) What department is desired? The department for the present activities would be that having to do with the training of those for Special Service in other lands.

45. (Q) Who is the officer who can do it? (A) Who is in charge or at the head of such, that the entity is associated or acquainted with?

46. (Q) Is this advisable? (A) This is advisable if that is the desire of the body, but don't mess it up!

47. (Q) Is the prophecy still possible of fulfillment, of May, 1941, that war against Germany will end in the spring of '44? (A) This will end in the spring of '44. [3/57 GD's note: The 1950 World Almanac indicates that Hitler was wounded in an attempted assassination July 20, 1944. It is possible that this planned assassination was seen. If it had gone through, war would have ended immediately - long before the invasion.]

48. (Q) When will the war with Japan end? (A) It will be much later, but more sudden in its close. [First atomic bomb was dropped on Japan August 6, 1945, the

257-254 Page 7

second atomic bomb was dropped August 9, 1945. Japan surrendered August 14, 1945.]
