R E A D I N G
Time of Reading 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Long Island, N.Y.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [261], present in this room, who is about to change his present work and seeks advice, counsel and guidance as to what type of work would be the best for him to pursue, and for which he is best fitted. You will answer the questions which he will ask.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [261] - this we have had here before.
3. In the general physical forces of the body, these we find better than when we last had the body here. In keeping the physical body fit, there needs to be remembered many of those conditions that were to be warned of; not as holding them to be fearful of, but rather preparing self that they become of none effect in the body.
4. As to those things that surround the body in the mental and material conditions, as we find, in those channels that would have to do with the financing of utility propositions (in which the activities of the body-mental have been set, in a manner) would bring for the body those better opportunities for the application of abilities that are apparent in the mental forces of the body. Those that would deal with conditions in this direction would offer a channel, especially at this time, where there might be the greater field for activities.

6. (Q) Should I immediately retire as partner from my present firm? (A) When there has been made a more definite association or connection, then would be the better time; though, as these connections present themselves, then would be well for this retirement.
7. (Q) Should the new work be sought in New York City or elsewhere? (A) This may be done in New York City or in any of the surrounding territory, or where those connections in such an undertaking may best be suited for that as may be considered

as a basis for the undertaking. As this: If there is considered that the particular line of any company or association, or trade agency, is to be as the utility that will be handled by the organization, then in that particular portion of the territory in which the operations are to be handled may be sought or chosen. This, as seen or understood, may be handled in most ANY district or place where the proper connections and associations may be made for such an undertaking; for, as the periods of adjustments come, these conditions - or these utilities - are to be used more and more, and more and more will there be sought such channels for the handling of the distribution of such at this particular period; and these periods for such an organization offer a much better opportunity for the correct setting for such an undertaking than when there ARE those conditions that are so lax as to produce an extravagance in the economic life of most of the users of such utilities as might be chosen. Those utilities, then, that we would find would offer the better opportunity for the considerations of such undertakings, will be those particularly in the electrical field.
8. (Q) Such as? (A) Any that deal directly with the home or the office, or the like, that require the use of utilities for their operations; for this makes for a much saner investment on the part of groups or individuals than where it is for their OWN individual operation, see? A much safer, then, would be the auto, or a much safer one then would be for those that would be wholly or solely for one particular group or class of people. As in refrigeration, or those utilities used in the home - in such things that are electrically driven.
9. (Q) What location would be best? (A) As given, where that connection or association best adapts itself to whatever utility is chosen for the particular field of activity.
10. (Q) If elsewhere, should I endeavor to sell or rent my home in ... [L.I.]? (A) This would depend entirely upon the conditions that SURROUNDED the activities. As WE would find, this may be done as WELL in the present environs or surroundings as it might be elsewhere. In many respects those surroundings would offer the better opportunity for the handling of group conditions, or of group individuals' activities.
11. (Q) Does the financing mean acting as treasurer of the

company, or selling securities? (A) Acting in the capacity of the one handling those for the company that would act in the capacity of the financing for those utilities sold through activities of group or organizations that are organized for such purposes. Much as on the order of the ABC financing, as is seen in the Ford organization, or as is seen in General Motors organization in THEIR OWN utilities. This would be for such an organization that would handle those of independent or KINDRED conditions, see? for these may be made, in this particular period of readjustment, as given, into an organization that will be very much worth while. Not that which is called a finance corporation for securities of any character, as stocks, but where deferred payments are on utilities that are used under the electrically driven operations.
12. (Q) Is there any suggestion as to how to go about getting such a position? (A) Organize such an organization, and act in the capacity of the one that would be handling these for the organization.
13. (Q) Any special one or group the body should contact? (A) These may be done in many various ways, that when such a plan - see may be worked out by the body itself, as to how such may be made a plausible or feasible way - which may be easily done by the entity, for the abilities are in these directions - then those that are interested in such an organization may be approached by the body, and these may be perfected in such a manner as to make for such an organization that may be seconded by none as the developments go.
14. (Q) It isn't entirely clear to the body as to just the type of work. (A) There has been, as is seen - or may be seen by a little investigation or study in such fields - the release on most of the electrical appliances that are used in the office and home; and in many fields of activity - as in refrigeration, in all its various fields - as the heating unit, in all its variations - there are some of the STRONGER units being organized that act in the capacity of trade agencies for such products, that go directly to the homes, see? Then, in handling the financing of such, for such a sales organization, will become more and more a plausible or feasible way, just as finance organizations are handling stocks or bonds, or buildings, or the like, see?
15. (Q) How would the necessary capital be raised for such an organization?

(A) Through those interested in getting their own products financed through the efforts of such an organization. These would point out the fields, or the individuals who would be willing to contribute to such an organization, with one capable of handling the detail of the operations, see? There are two organizations whose activities and mode of organization may be looked into by the body. The various conditions in each may be seen, and from these may the entity prepare that which would be best suited to his OWN individual plans. As the Maryland Credit-Finance Corporation, which handles the products of certain automobile agencies (though this wouldn't be in the automobile field - it is too uncertain!). As in the Refrigeration Discount Corporation of Detroit, that handles the products of a particular organization. These are the plans on which such may be builded, see?
16. (Q) The appliances would have to be of companies not already having their own finance companies? (A) Not necessarily; for many of these are seeking such an organization, that under the new adjustments will be able to undertake such a financing proposition.
17. (Q) Which would be best? (A) These would necessarily be chosen by the body, from the considering of the propositions that are presented through the KINDRED organizations referred to. Then, these may be had in most any field that may be chosen, but especially in those fields where there is the consideration between the utility companies or organizations that furnish the power for the activities of these. You can see the variations in how there is a tie-up BETWEEN such organizations and such financing, so that there will be little or no less! while the auto proposition may have to be re-taken, or there may be destruction, or there may be loss, or the like. These are active in the home, and these are the basis of the re-developments of whatever nature the finance of the whole country may depend upon. Hence becomes the safest.
