Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Long Island, N.Y.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [261], present in this room, who seeks further advice, counsel and guidance in the carrying on of his present work, as to his present physical condition, and as to what changes, if any, should be made in any of his present activities. You will answer the questions which he will submit, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [261]; this we have had before.

3. In the physical forces of the body [See 261-1 through 261-4 on gastritis] we find there are some conditions that should be corrected, or that added in the activities of the physical functioning as to rid the body of disturbing forces and allow the general physical activity to be more in accord one portion with another.

4. As we have seen, there are those gastric disturbances that make for a tendency of nervous irritation in the digestive system. This also makes for that inactivity of the ducts in the assimilating system, producing - through the tendency towards inflammation at times - a form of strept in the blood supply that saps the vitality or breaks down too fast the red blood supply in the system, reducing the numbers of the red blood corpuscles. Not in such an excess that the condition may be called that of anemia, from that standpoint or angle, yet reducing the resistance in the system and causing weakness. This, added with the nerve irritation, brings for the body the unbalanced condition in the general physical forces.

5. A better condition throughout the body, as we find, will be made through the stimulations occasionally by the relaxing of the whole cerebrospinal system in all ganglia, especially those as related to the hypogastric and pneumogastric nerve centers; and through adding at times,

261-9 Page 2

when there is a fullness felt after eating, those properties that would assist in performing full, complete digestion.

6. The manipulations we would have preferably in the form of corrective and general massage combined; osteopathically or neuropathically given.

7. The properties that we find would balance better with the gastric forces of the system in digestion would be found in that called AL-CAROID; taken only, to be sure, when necessary - and, of course, after the meals; especially the evening meal.

8. Don't overeat, but have a well-balanced diet.

9. It is not necessary that the AL-CAROID be taken every day, but when an excess occurs, or a fullness, or a burning sensation in the digestive system.

10. The manipulations and massage, that is to make for better coordinations, would be taken once or twice a week, or - if necessary - more often; but ONLY when there is felt the necessity of the relaxing for nervous forces, especially through hypogastric and pneumogastric centers or areas that tend to produce contractions even when the physical body is not aware of same.

11. As to those associations in the material conditions, [See 261-8] these - as we find, in some of these - have not worked as they apparently should, or as was led at first to believe that they might; yet we find that these are being conducted along the proper channels and that, while somewhat SLOWER than was indicated, there are the reactions that these will work for the better interests.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) The financial conditions of Codisco, Inc., have become quite desperate. Efforts to secure outside capital have been unsuccessful. Current requirements have been largely met by myself. Has the story been poorly told by those seeking funds, or have they not made the proper contacts? (A) This might be answered in the fact that BOTH are true in different quarters, or different manners. As we find, if this effort is still carried a little more persistently - and to those quarters that are in, or of, this turn, even under the stress of the general situation sufficient financial assistance should be interested to carry on. We would not become discouraged as yet. Although at times it appears that there is the gradual slipping, or inadequate funds for the processes necessary, yet we find that there should be the continual seeking out of those that are able

261-9 Page 3

to carry on.

14. (Q) A start has been made in getting a field force into actual operation. Should this be suspended until capital is available, or is it helpful in securing capital? (A) As we would give from the situations that are viewed here, there may be some curtailment in the field force - but there should be sufficient interest, or sufficient activity in the field force, to not only lend that moral support to those that may be interested in it but for the actual contacts that are necessary in conducting a work of this nature or character. See?

15. (Q) Should I supply any further funds? (A) When - or where necessary - As we have indicated, while this should not be carried to such an extent (in the supplying of the funds alone by self) as to jeopardize self's own best interests, we find that it will be necessary for the supplying of some further funds for the best interests of the whole situation.

16. (Q) Some of the officers are contributing very little of value to the company, certainly not in proportion to their participation. Should any changes be made in personnel or in participations? (A) As seen, by the matter of fact of the situation, there should be curtailment in participations; unless there is the showing of further activities in such a way and manner as to justify rightly their participation.

17. (Q) In what ways can I be of more value to Codisco? (A) There is being supplied of self, and of self's abilities, that which should - and will - enable this to be made a successful organization. How can self supply much more, other than abandoning all for this activity? We would say, self is being supplied sufficiently. Just push up, prod up, spur up the others more!

18. (Q) Should any consideration be given by me at this time to forming a finance company for installment payments, as suggested in a previous reading, to operate either in conjunction with Codisco or separately? (A) As we have given from the beginning, and find at this time, serious consideration should be given for the organizing of such a financial organization. Through the general conditions throughout the financial world there is the necessity, as seen, for organized activity in those fields where curtailment is to be forced through the general activities in the government circles.

261-9 Page 4

And those that are firm in their activities in the beginning of the return to nearer normalcy will be in the position to carry on, in a better way and manner without question, than those that may be organized or formed later - see?

19. (Q) Since the last reading a plan of financial readjustment for National Bancservice Corp. has been prepared and presented to its creditors. All but three of the creditors have approved the plan and deposited their securities. Is it going to be possible to secure the consent of the others, or must the plan be changed or abandoned? (A) We find that this will be carried through without a great deal of change. Some little concession may be necessary, but not of sufficient nature or character to abandon the plan that has been accepted by the greater number of those interested. We have given before, respecting the NATIONAL situations in financial circles, as to inflations and as to the standards, that there would be - or would remain - the gold basis WITHOUT the inflation that HAS been contemplated or seen in many quarters where such authority or power has been given, or where the value of the standard or basis of standard has been allowed to run - as it were - to seek its OWN level. For, the general situations throughout the financial structure - not only of the nation, but of nations - are so interlocked that this present governmental activity is to lay the basis for the recovery in the economic standard that IS to be set for the recovery of general conditions. It may be asked, what has THIS to do with the situation that is being approached in this settlement? Those that have refused to accept wholly are those that are fearful of the situation and not as optimistic as some of those who have accepted. Hence the general situation becomes a part of the whole, in the consideration - see?

20. (Q) Sales by both the printing units and the Christmas Club unit have been very disappointing. Without a prompt and substantial increase it would appear that the company cannot go on. Is such an increase likely in time to save the company, or should it be shut down now and liquidated? (A) Unless there is within the present month sufficient to carry on, and to give an optimistic outlook to the general situation, it would be best to shut down. But, with the proper connections and associations in the

261-9 Page 5

line of that type of printing, that type of card, that type of announcements, as we have outlined, WE find no reason why this should not be accomplished in this time or period. Yet, if it does not - For, it requires work and activity in SOLICITATIONS end, see?

21. (Q) Can present sales methods or personnel be improved? (A) It needs improvement, if it's to reach the proper position! And, as we find - while we have those impressions, yet we find not the names nor the individuals, there is an activity where some change in the personnel would be most beneficial. It's worth a try at least!

22. (Q) Has overhead been reduced as much as practicable? (A) In the general way, yes.

23. (Q) Can operating methods be improved? (A) Operating methods are very good. The greater lack, of course, is with the amount - or with the necessary amount for output there would be, naturally, some changes in operation methods; but in the whole - or general - these have been set.

24. (Q) I have been asked if I would consider favorably an offer to become president of General Refractories Company in Philadelphia. I feel that my first duty is to Codisco and National Bancservice Corp., and the other position should not be considered. Is this correct? (A) This should be weighed well in the balance before DETERMINING. Yet, as we have indicated in relation to the services of self rendered to Codisco and to the Bancservice, as much of self is being expended as should be; and yet in some of these it is found that there is not the returns that should be considered, and those IN power - as it were (or at least in the DIVISION of the returns) - are not supplying of them- selves in the manner as we have seen, indicated, and given. Then, there is not the proper position, unless some definite changes are made, that self should lose the association and connection that would make for - at least - a great deal more MENTAL satisfaction in the connection! Then, don't turn it flatly down - as yet!

25. (Q) During the past month there has been a substantial improvement in commodity and security prices, and some improvement in general business. Are these changes due to better fundamental conditions, or are they brought about only because of our going off the gold standard?

261-9 Page 6

(A) As we have indicated, from the position that would be implied from considering the forming of the credit corporation, the general conditions in the government associations, connections or positions, this is a FUNDAMENTAL condition that has caused the improvement in prices, in business, in the general condition. As it is seen and known by self, in the beginning of recuperative forces, activity in such fields of operation, there are those periods of what may be termed "spurts," and then a settling again. Then another spurt and a settling, before GENERAL conditions are in the position as to be basically sound in activity. Yet, as given, the conditions - as we find - are from basic principles, basic conditions, and justify all the changes in the direction they have taken - that have as yet been maintained.

26. (Q) Is the tendency toward inflation apt to increase, and can inflation once started be kept under control? (A) This has been indicated in that given regarding the basis and the position of THIS government structure at this time. It WILL be controlled! There will be some flares here and there. There are those as from - The basic position - Let's turn for the moment to the cause of much of the condition! Years ago - 1929 - [See 900-425 & 137-117] we gave the position, then, in the structure; that there was a division in what might justly be called the "money powers" in, or active under, this government. That the power in Mellon has been unseated, through the activity of those in the other side, will make for a greater stabilization for the financial position of the other side (or in Morgan's), is BASICALLY of a greater or more far-reaching effect upon not only the ability of the government to control in its OWN borders, but in the other fields that might ATTEMPT in any way or manner to produce or cause an unrest in the general situation. Hence, as we find, while there will be - as given - those tendencies towards the flights in inflation, for individual or group reasons, yet the stabilization of such will remain basically, principally, sound.

27. (Q) Since the last reading [261-8] both knees were sprained and still are stiff. Is this stiffness due to a

261-9 Page 7

local condition or to the general condition? (A) Rather to the general condition. [See 261-1 through 261-4 for gastritis.] Hence, as we have indicated, the necessity of purifying the blood supply through the proper digestive forces, as well as stimulating the centers from which the radial activity of the circulation in the lower portion of the body receives its impetus for the rejuvenation of life-giving forces from the blood supply. As we find, with a few of these treatments - and with those properties taken to better the digestive forces, the greater portion of this stiffness and soreness will disappear.

28. (Q) A change in vision is beginning to make reading difficult. Is anything wrong with my eyes other than farsightedness, which glasses can correct? (A) The general weakness of a system at those periods when there begins to become the necessity for the adding of a stimuli to make for the proper coordination of vision, through the active forces of the system, makes for specific irritations. While there will be a great deal of aid that will come to the body through those stimulations in the general system for a better health condition, we find it will be necessary to aid with glasses for the REMOVAL of irritation to the nervous system - brought on by strain in trying to read, or in visions activity. But there will not be required as much aid later as there would be were the tests made in the present condition. Then, it would be best to have the tests made after at least ten days of treatment - see?

29. (Q) My eyes water particularly when weather is cold. Is this due to eye strain? (A) A general condition, and eye strain also - see? Sympathetic reaction! The general improvement in health, with the aid to the vision, will overcome these conditions. The use of the Torric lens will be the better; the cylinder will, we find - Well, we could give the prescription for this entirely, yet it would be better were these tests taken after there has been the better stimulation to the optic forces FROM the hypogastric centers (these are in the base of the brain, you see, and in the cervical area).

30. (Q) The use of treatment previously suggested for dandruff checks it but does not cure it. [261-2, Par. 9-A] (A) Continue to use that given, persistently and CONSISTENTLY. Remember, we are dealing with the GENERAL

261-9 Page 8

conditions in the system, aided and abetted by a SPECIFIC condition. Be a little bit more persistent, and we will find we will get rid of it - because this is basically right!

31. (Q) Is the treatment being administered properly? (A) Be a little bit more persistent.

32. (Q) More frequent? (A) More frequent.

33. (Q) What causes dandruff? (A) A production of the lack of circulation properly distributed through that portion of the body, and is infectious - and comes from (if you choose to call it such) a germ; because you can take it from one and it'll begin on another - it takes hold, you see. Hence it is a germ, in its activity. [See 261-13, Par. 25-A, 26-A.]

34. (Q) On first finger of right hand is a small wart or similar growth. What is the best way of removing it? (A) As we have given here before, this may be massaged by THIS body here - giving the information [GD's note: I had seen EC do this for several people with results! See 261-10, Par. 16-A, 17-A] - and it'll go way! We'll assist it through the activities here, of the mental forces of the body.

35. (Q) Any other advice that will be of benefit to this body at this time? (A) As indicated, when taken all together as we have given for the body here, self is expending self in such a way and manner that more precautions should be taken to play as well as work! While this is not indicating that the body may be extravagant with its physical activities, or with its mental and material forces, in its application; yet a well-balanced body in its mental and material activities brings for a much better contentment in every relationship in the experience. Well to consider that, not as too seriously - but, be able to laugh even at self as well as the general conditions, and you'll always be right!
