Time of Reading 11:30 to 12:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Long Island, N.Y. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks advice and guidance as to his physical condition, as to the general business situation, and as to personal business problems. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [261], present in this room; this we have had before.

2. In the physical forces of the body we find improvements shown from that as we have at times had here before.

3. However, there are still those disturbing factors that arise in the digestive and assimilating system; as well as the effects these disturbances produce within the physical reaction.

4. Then, under the supervision or direction of physician, we would take a tonic prepared with these ingredients in combination; while we find these proportions are correct, the administering should be under the supervision or direction of physician: Muriated Iron...................20 grains, Gum Camphor.....................20 grains, Sulphate of Morphia............1/2 grain.

5. Mix these ingredients THOROUGHLY and then make into either twenty capsules or twenty pellets. To be sure, these will dissolve unless kept in a cool place, if made into pellets. It is preferable, then, to make them into capsules. One capsule or pellet would be taken once or twice a day; as a tonic for the system. Continue taking until the whole twenty capsules have been taken; then leave off for a period of ten days to two weeks; and then a second quantity - and possibly the third quantity - may be prepared and taken. This, to be sure, depends upon the reaction of these upon the system.

6. While this compound carries a narcotic, it is in such a form and combination that it is not habit-forming (though

261-32 Page 2

the drug itself is!); for in this combination and quantity it would act rather as a stimuli to the whole system. Hence, as indicated, the reaction must be watched closely - under the supervision of physician. For it may be necessary for a reduction of the quantity of Iron, or a little more of the Gum, see? But as we find these proportions as indicated, properly compounded, are correct for this body.

7. Keep in the open when plausible or possible.

8. Take as much exercise as is practical in the open.

9. And be precautious as to the diet in those directions that have been indicated. As soon as practical, have at least once or twice a day the okra in the diet. This as we find carries a glucose that is well for the assimilating system.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) For several weeks the tips of my fingers have been less sensitive than normal. Can you explain and suggest any cure? (A) As indicated, the lack of the proper circulation. Hence that type or character of stimuli or tonic as indicated, in the form of those properties that make for an activity upon the superficial circulation as well as the general strengthening of the body. And these properties are given in the proportions and form that should be more easily assimilated by the body than in any other form than from, of course, the vegetables or fruits in the diet. Thus we find there should be material aids in this direction, with these conditions taken into consideration with that which has been suggested.

12. (Q) Yesterday morning I felt quite ill on arising, as if I had been poisoned by something I had eaten or drunk. Can you explain? (A) This was from the same lack of the ability of the gastric flows of the system to perform the proper functions of perfect assimilation. Hence foods or drink (and this would mean water as well as any other thing taken!) may at times cause disturbance. For as we comprehend and understand, foods and drinks are made up of elements that are to be broken down by the activity of the gastric flow. This activity begins not only from the assimilation in the glandular forces as food is taken into the system, but especially in the pyloric portion of the stomach itself - from which there is as it were a whole laboratory of the combinations of the hydrochlorics with the lactic flows of the system itself! Then, these not being able to assimilate properly, they leave drosses that react upon the system as would a gas or any formation that tends to drug or overcharge the whole system as related to the emunctory and

261-32 Page 3

lymph circulation - which, of course, is the activity through the sympathetic system. All of these are taken into consideration when suggesting the tonic, the effect of which - if taken properly, and in the proper combinations (which may be tabu as compared to that given by many) - will aid, with gastric flow of THIS system, in forming proper distributions. Do these then, as we find, as indicated.

13. (Q) The decline in security prices which started a year ago reached a low point at the end of March and since then prices have improved somewhat. Some people expect still lower prices to occur within the next few weeks, while others look for a gradual improvement from present levels. Will you comment? (A) There will be, as we find indicated, a general trend upward - until the later portion of the year. As will be seen, though, there will be those inclinations - during the latter portion of the coming month, or May - a little change; that is, downward; but unless producing conditions other than are indicated in the general trend, will soon make for the general trend upward again. These general trends in the latter portion of the year, to be sure, will depend upon the stabilization of INTERNATIONAL associations or activities.

14. (Q) The business recession has particularly affected the railroads and railroad securities have declined drastically in price. Should such securities improve from present levels or should they be replaced in our clients' accounts with other securities with better prospects? (A) As we find, with the prospective legislation, there will be periods when there will be other declines in railroad securities. But with the stabilization of same, with the better cooperation of the securities' active associations in governmental relations with the railroads, these will improve; and the prices will in many instances gain to near the levels of sometime ago. Not, of course, as of five to six to seven years ago, but nearer a normal activity. As to replacements, these we do not find as necessary unless there are the special industrial replacements.

15. (Q) What securities are the most favorably situated at this time? (A) Those as we find of the natures having to do with the BUILDING trades, and those natures.

16. (Q) Is President Roosevelt's "pump-priming" program

261-32 Page 4

likely to be passed by Congress, and if so will it be as advantageous as he anticipates? (A) Not unless there is a great deal of change. For the whole of the financial structure would be affected by the present program. And it will be passed in a very, very much MODIFIED form, but on CONSTRUCTIVE lines rather than those that are only aiding for the moment. Then, it will be MORE advantageous in the long run - because it will be modified to meet many of those conditions that are of a greater stabilizing effect upon general conditions.

17. (Q) The decline in security prices has seriously reduced the income of our investment counsel organization, located in Room ..., ... Bldg., N.Y. City. One possibility is a merger of Johnston and Lagerquist, Inc., with Pell, Kip and Skinner, Inc., now located at 597 Madison Ave., N.Y. Would such a merger be advantageous? (A) As we find, such a merger would be advantageous; in that the WHOLE of the situations, we see, would make for much greater prestige in the activities. However, the activities of both associations must be kept so that they are rather the brace as one for another, rather than relying solely upon the activities of one another, see?

18. (Q) Would John Pell, the President of Pell, Kip and Skinner be a congenial and satisfactory associate with Mr. Lagerquist and me? (A) As we find, when fully understood - though there are some idiosyncrasies (as some would say) in the activities and manners of operation of Pell, but these understood (and where is there one that hasn't some!) - we would find a most congenial and a most satisfactory associate.

19. (Q) Another possibility is to reduce our present staff. The work of F. E. Richter and H. P. Howell has not been entirely satisfactory. Should either of these men, or both, be let go at this time? (A) We would depend upon the activities of the combination, first. But as we find, the work of Richter is not as satisfactory as that of Howell, in the whole. Hence we would not consider letting both go at the present.

20. (Q) Any further suggestions as to the investment counsel activities? (A) Still as we find, in relationship to these, we would - not that these are to be sought over and above others, but - consider the investments of foreign capital in securities in this country. For, as will be the greater activity for some years yet,

261-32 Page 5

great numbers of individuals - where there is the possibility of the exchange, and which will be made more possible by the unification of valuations between countries - more and more investments will be made of foreign capital in America. For there is the general growth of the idea that America is and will remain in its activities (and justly so) more secure than many of the other countries or activities in same. Hence we will find more of French, English, Spanish, German, Russian and some Italian activities that will make it possible for those engaged in the activities of securities in this land to gain a greater amount. These so long as they are held in the manners as are being set for the stabilization of the currencies in ALL lands, and of a BETTER activity, will grow more and more - making secure the land of America. Again - there is gradually being eased the strain between exchanges in the southern countries - or South America, Argentine, Brazil, Equador, Peru, Chile, and those countries as may be called the Latin-American. These, to be sure, are not all desirable; but the general trend is that there will be, with the new possibilities that are gradually being formed, the closer associations; and the abilities for the investments of those in the positions to make such in American commodities, American securities - or the United States. This is then gradually making for a period - which must come, of course, before '41 or 2 - when there will be the GREATER BOOM in the United States that it has known!

21. (Q) Would this business be secured by advertising in foreign countries? (A) This is a channel and a very good one, as the general way, but has to be done very diplomatically to be sure.

22. (Q) Information was sought through this channel [in 261-29, 261-30 & 261-31] on Nov. 26, 1937, on March 14, 1938 and on April 16, 1938, with regard to the operations and property of the A. V. Oil and Gas Co., located at Dundee, Mich. From the information obtained I understand that oil and gas can be obtained at two levels - (A) Correct.

23. (Q) One at approximately 2100 feet and one at 3900-4200 feet, and that - (A) Yes, from 38 to 4200 feet.

24. (Q) And that the greater production will be found at

261-32 Page 6

the lower level. (A) Correct.

25. (Q) I am still not entirely clear as to how deep the well now being drilled should be carried. (A) To the 21 to 2200 feet. To make any field valuable, have production in commercial or paying quantities. Then the activities and developments as arise from the very processes of bringing valuable production make the whole situation MUCH easier. So, when the deeper productions ARE sought, it becomes a much easier proposition. First, obtain that which is proving to make the field an asset, rather than a liability.

26. (Q) The Reading of April 16 indicated that gas and oil in commercial quantities would be found at 2178 feet. Does that mean that this well should be shot at that level and not carried to the lower level? (A) This depth is correct, as we find. Whatever the process needed for the character of the formation, to make for production, this as we find would be the better - to shoot.

27. (Q) How heavy a shot should be used? (A) From 20 to 45 - of Nitro.

28. (Q) Should the acid process be used in this new well or will it not be necessary? (A) This should not be necessary, but as has just been indicated, this depends, of course - See, there are manners of shooting and then there are other manners of shooting. Now, if the activity or the manner in which this is handled necessitates the acid process after cleaning, or if the shot in itself produces sufficient of an opening for the flow, then these will be the manners to handle same, see?

29. (Q) Will the production of this well at the 2178 foot level be principally gas with some oil or principally oil? (A) As we find, this will be sufficient oil to make it a commercial well, with sufficient gas pressure and quantity that there may be the considering of that possibility and prospect as indicated; that the need of same in the commercial fields thereabout would be practical, see?

30. (Q) When should a well be drilled to the lower 3900-4200 foot level? (A) When there has been the proof, as indicated, of this being a field worthy of the necessity for expenditures in that direction.

261-32 Page 7

31. (Q) Where should such a well be drilled in relation to the well now being drilled? (A) This will tend more to the South and towards the West. You see, the folds or the formation in this particular territory, as has been indicated, while a little bit unusual follow the general operations for such activities. And while these to the South and West go to the greater depth, it does not come more and more upon the general FIELD itself or pool itself, see? for as has been indicated, these are rather stratums or flows here, see?

32. (Q) Anything further in connection with this operation? (A) These we would consider from even those physical facts that are indications in the formations through which present operations pass, also the physical surface facts of the faults, of the folds and of the general lay and pressure in the fields, of course, far to the South and East of same.

33. (Q) Once I was told through this channel to study Numerology in relation to stocks; and recently it was stated through this channel [826-10, Par. 6-A] that the best books along that line are written by Pfeiffer and Plancents. Can you tell me where such books can be obtained, including the street address, state and country? or the name of the person or company handling the books? (A) The name Pfeiffer is spelled improperly. It is P-h-feiffer and published in Munich. The other was referring rather to a census of the activities of others.

34. We are through for the present.
