Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:10 P. M.

1. GC: You will have before you Group #1, members of which are present here, and their work on the lesson Glory. You will give further discourse on this lesson and answer questions.

2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here; as a group, as individuals, and their work on the lesson Glory.

3. In giving that as may be helpful in the study of the lesson, and in presenting that which may be helpful to others:

4. Oft in the interpretation of Glory we find those conditions that become disturbing, or the incorrect understanding of Glory.

5. There may be given, then, that premise from which those interpretations may be presented to others. So we would give, here, the manner in which this group would present this lesson, Glory:

6. GLORY is the ability of the individual, the object, the personality, the god-force, to SERVE.

7. Then, when this is considered from this phase or angle, we find that oft there is VAINGLORY. When that spoken so oft by the sages, the prophets of old, is considered, as to how the glory of the Lord would fill the earth, it is seen as to how vain becomes the experiences of individuals who have lost sight of that purpose for which those individuals, groups or masses spoke - or were spoken to - as to the glory that might be theirs.

8. As it has so oft been given from the first, KNOW that the Lord, thy God, is ONE! KNOW that thy ability, thy service, begins first with COOPERATION in BEING that channel through which the Glory of the Lord may be manifested in the earth!

9. For, "The earth IS the Lord's, and the fullness thereof - Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge."

10. If ye would, then, fill that whereunto thou hast been

called, let thy Glory - let thy Knowledge - let thy WISDOM - be in the Lord!

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Please give an outline for the lesson Glory. (A) There have been many outlines for the varied lessons. Would you change these? Is not this outline the same as the others; that pertaining to the various phases of Glory? As has been given in the first, there is the Glory of the Mind, the Body, the Soul. In all of these phases there are presented the various activities through which there may be the interpretation of Glory in those that would be glorious, or the interpretation of Glory in those that would show forth the Glory of the Lord.

13. (Q) Please give a discourse on the Creation of the Soul. (A) This will come in its own time, in WISDOM - that is the second lesson from this. KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM. WISDOM, then, begins with the recognition and acknowledging of, the knowing of, the application of, the Soul in its development.

14. (Q) Please explain the following excerpt from Group Reading [262-88, Par. 7] given Sunday, Sept. 8, 1935: "That Force, that Power, which manifests itself in separating - or as separate forces and influences in the earth, continue to enter; and then change; continuing to pour in and out. From whence came it? Whither does it go, when it returns?" (A) Here we find those influences are spoken of that come as a portion of the Whole, that are separate - as companionships to the Whole; and are given their individuality through their activities in and through material manifestations. In other words, the Soul - that is the motivative influence in the activities in a manifested form in the earth, in its expression of that thou art studying in the present. These influences, or interpretations, will become confusing unless kept in their OWN sphere.

15. (Q) [585]: What is meant by paradise as referred to by Jesus in speaking to the thief on the Cross? (A) The inter-between; the awareness of being in that state of transition between the material and the spiritual phases of consciousness of the Soul. The awareness that there is the companionship of entities or souls, or separate forces in those stages of the development.

16. (Q) What is meant by Jesus in John 21:23, "If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?"

262-92 Page 3

(A) The answer to the disturbed soul of Peter, who recognized the condition existent in the transition of the thought or the mind, or the experience of that which had been asked, "Lovest thou me?" And the MAN felt that the love shown to the beloved disciple was such that there MIGHT be that change. Hence the setting of that aright, to that which had been before given, "to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give," but is earned, is given, is prepared, for those that "shew the Lord's death till he come."

17. (Q) Any message for the Group as a whole? (A) Much of that ye seek, ye ask, may become confusing - unless it, the information, the interpretation, the APPLICATION of same in thine experience is kept in its OWN realm. For, as has been given, the interpretation of spiritual laws is in spirituality; the interpretation of material laws is in materiality. Confuse not thyselves, but study to show selves approved; not by wisdom, not by might, but in that which is the perfect law of the Lord, "Thou shalt love the LORD (thy God) with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy body, and - thy neighbor (thy brother) as thyself." For, as He gave, this is the whole law - and there IS no other!

18. We are through for the present.
