Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:35 P. M.
1. GC: You will have before you Group #1, members of which are present here, and their work and study of the lesson on GLORY. You will give a further discourse on this subject, and answer questions.
2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here, as individuals and as a group; also their work and their study on the lesson GLORY.
3. In summing up that which has been given respecting the manner in which individuals should apply themselves in relationships to activities for the GLORY of the Father through the Son in their activities with and to their fellow man, we find:
4. The activities should come to be less and less for self, but more and more that self may be the channel through which the Glory of the Father may be manifested in the earth.
5. Then, the activities of self become less and less towards the Glory of self, less that good may come to thee. For being one with the Father, even as He has given, "As ye abide in me and I in the Father," then there may be that Glory, that consciousness of the oneness that thou didst occupy before thy advent or before the world was. Even as He prayed, "Now, glorify thy son, that he may have the glory that was his before the worlds were."
6. Hence, be - individuals in this group - as individuals preparing others that they, too, may know that Glory in their activities, in their lives. Not unto the Glory of self that thou may be only well-spoken of; for they that do such have indeed their own reward within their EARTHLY experience. But they that do service IN His name, for the Glory of the Father, may indeed know the Glory the Lord hath prepared for them that serve Him.
7. Quit ye yourselves like the children of the Father, knowing that His love, His Glory, abideth with those who love His ways, that keep His commandments, that GLORY in the Cross and in a service to their fellow man.

8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) Explain what is meant by glorified in John 14:13, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (A) If we as individuals will but look about us, as to the ways of man and his knowledge of those things that go to make up the elemental influences in the earth, we can see and experience that as the Master gave; that the children of this world are wise in their own conceit; again, that the children of this world are wise even unto those that are the children of light. Hence as He gave to those lacking in worldly wisdom and in the wiles of those that would make for deceitfulness in any of its phases or experiences of man's activity, the Glory of the Father may manifest through the prayer, the activity, the seeking of those though they may be to the worldly wise as but babes in understanding. Thus as He has given, those that run may read that the Glory of the Father is made manifest in those that seek to know His ways.
10. (Q) Explain John 17:12 - "and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition." What is meant by lost in this sense, and just what would be meant by saved? (A) He had chosen rather to seek his OWN ways and to deceive others into seeking to follow their own manner rather than that there should be credence or credit or loyalty or love shown to that source from which life, consciousness or manifestations emanated. Hence that spoken of him that rebelled against the throne of heaven, and manifested in the flesh in the one who betrayed Him. Then, all are sons of perdition - or allow that force to manifest through them - who deny Him, or who betray Him, or who present themselves to be one thing and - under earthly environment or for personal gain, or for reasons of gratification - do otherwise; for they do but persecute, deny, betray Him.
11. (Q) [993]: In the reading of Nov. 3rd, [262-90, Par. 9] where it said, "Thinkest thou that His prayer will not be answered in thee, and in thine experience?" what connection has this with the prayer of Jesus Christ recorded in John 17? What bearing does this have with my experience which I had while on the lesson Glory? Please explain.

(A) As we find, one is a parallel or an explanation - as it were - of the other. In the prayer that He gave, "I pray not only for these but for those that may hear through the words of these." Or it is an inclusive prayer for every soul that names the Name of Christ AS the example, AS the way, as the water of life, as the Savior, as the Son. Yet all of these are ever conditional, even as He gave. "If ye ask in my name, that will be given unto thee - IF thou believest, IF thou art faithful." Yet He said again, "Hadst thou the faith, the belief, even to the grain of the mustard seed, thou would say to this mountain 'Be thou removed and cast into the sea.'" And yet these we turn in our minds to mean spiritual or mental implications and not truths, literal in our own experience! So in the implication as given in thy own experience, as thou saw, as thou understood, as the promises were given in thee, so may they be - so will they be - fulfilled according to thy faith. For how spoke He to they? "What seekest thou? Be thou healed according to thy faith." What IS thy faith? How readest thou, in thine self, that the Glory of the Father may come to another but not to thee? Why? Art thou not His child? Art thou not His alone, even as He has called? Be not dismayed, but know that in thee, in thy service, in thy activities, many will be drawn close to an understanding. And let him know that hath saved a soul he hath covered a multitude of sins.
12. (Q) Any message for the group as a whole? (A) Draw nigh unto Him who hath called thee. For thou hast seen, thou hast experienced, thou will know within thine own self the nearness of His presence among thee. For His words faileth not. For as He gave, "Though the heavens and the earth pass away, my words shall NOT pass away." So, as He hath called thee into service, be thou willing, be thou GLAD to be led by His presence, HIS presence alone. For the Lord is mighty and maketh known His ways unto those that seek to be gentle and kind, to be patient and longsuffering, to be one that showeth forth brotherly love. For, "Inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren, ye do it unto me - if ye do it in my name, saith the Lord of hosts!"
13. We are through.
