Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:25 P. M.
1. GC: You will have before you the Norfolk Study Group #1, members of which are present here, and its work on the lessons Wisdom and Happiness. You will answer the questions which will be asked.
2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here; as a group and as individuals, and their work on the lessons Wisdom and Happiness.
3. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) Please comment on the second division of the lesson on Wisdom, The Approach to Wisdom. This has been changed as recommended. Copy I hold in my hand. (A) The changes as we find are very good and more in keeping with the body of that presented in the rest of the lesson.
5. (Q) Please comment and give suggestions and correction on divisions of lesson on Happiness, as I call them: One: (A) This we would not change materially. This we find very good.
6. (Q) Two: (A) This very good. The only revision as we would give would be in some of the wording, and this as we find will be corrected as it is copied or revised or put together.
7. (Q) Three: (A) Very good.
8. (Q) Four: (A) Very good.
9. (Q) Five: (A) Very good. It would be well if all would make this portion of the lesson a part of their activities.
10. (Q) Six: (A) Very good.
11. (Q) Seven: (A) Very good.
12. (Q) Eight: (A) Nothing except it's all low [?], and all there - it's

very good.
13. (Q) Nine: (A) Very good.
14. (Q) Ten: (A) Very good.
15. (Q) Eleven: (A) Very good.
16. (Q) Twelve: (A) Very good.
17. (Q) Thirteen: (A) Very good. "And's" and "the's" not always necessary in some of these.
18. (Q) Fourteen: (A) Very good.
19. (Q) Fifteen: (A) Very good.
20. (Q) Sixteen: (A) [Mumbling ...] That is, it's different. Very good.
21. (Q) Seventeen: (A) Very good.
22. (Q) Eighteen: (A) Somebody's been left off here that should have been put in; otherwise very good.
23. (Q) Any suggestions or comments on the lesson as a whole? (A) This as we find - more and more as those that do give of themselves as channels to bring others the interpretations through the study of the lessons, they are gaining within themselves a security, a surety of their purposes in this experience. Those that are failing to carry through are losing that which would bring the experience of Happiness in their own selves. Learn, in the application of the purposes, that the first lesson is well to be applied in each meeting. Seek not thy differences but rather the ways, the means of the cooperation with those though they become over-anxious, and with thy own manifold duties and activities ye become somewhat peeved. But ye have been called - GET UP! AND WORK! For it's the workers and not the shirkers that the blessings come to.
24. (Q) Please give the words of the Master (in English) of the verse, "Blessed are the poor in spirit," Matt. 5th chapter, if not translated correctly. (A) This has been dwelt upon at length and is in literal English as given, "Blessed are the poor in spirit."
25. (Q) [585]: Please give me a message that will help me. (A) Let thy heart be opened to the beauties of the service in the Lord. Let not anxieties or indifferences on the part of others cause thee to lose thy hold upon thy vision. For

whom the Lord loveth He keepeth in the ways that bring joy of service in Him. The way is being opened. Follow thou in the way of the Lord.
26. (Q) Any message to the group at this time? (A) In the study, in the work, in the service of the preparation of the lessons, grow not weary. For if you each will but become introspective of the experiences that have been thine through the varied conditions that have arisen through the period of time ye have given in the service, ye will find that it has opened thy way of understanding, it has opened thy mind, thy heart to the greater attunement that ye may attain with the Creative Forces that manifest in the experiences of those who serve an ideal in as near an ideal manner as circumstances permit in their lives. Then grow not weary in well-doing. For ye all HAVE attained unto Happiness in that peace has come into the hearts and experiences of ye all. Then as ye begin that study wherein ye must look as it were into the very depths of the heart of God, and again see the vileness of the evil influences that may come to bear in the experiences of all, be not fearful. For remember what was said to Peter; he bid that the Lord call him. Ye have bid that ye be channels of blessings. Then trust in the Lord. For He will HOLD thee and sustain thee if ye will but put your trust in Him. And as He gave, "If ye love me ye will keep my commandments." And what is His commandment? "That ye love one another, even as I have loved you, that the Father may be glorified in you." These keep in remembrance.
27. We are through for the present.
