1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - [264] - this we have had before. The general conditions through out the system are responding most satisfactorily. While those conditions in the blood are nearing to the normal, we would NOT - until there is sufficient time for adjusting of the system - attempt to create for the body the necessity of too much coagulation; keeping the drainages well opened throughout the system, but not to the EXPENSE of the red blood supply. Then, in the course of five to eight days, may be necessary for the operations necessary to remove that, that has been segregated, sufficient to prevent distresses in the system. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) Would you advise ether or gas as an anaesthetic? (A) The gas will be more satisfactory for the heart's action, or a combination of these would be possibly the MOST satisfactory in the conditions.
3. (Q) What is condition of the blood? (A) As has been given, it is coming to a NEARER NORMALCY, but do not put the strain upon same until it has gained, as it were, its equilibrium - for we would find, by the tests, that this alters or changes very suddenly, with the new conditions, as it were, in the body.
4. (Q) Is the diet proper? (A) Very good. Very satisfactory; creating sufficient of both the urea and the glucose in the system.
5. That is all the questions regarding this body.
6. We are through with this reading for the present.
