1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, as we find, the conditions are somewhat improved. While there is still a great deal of weakness and pain in head and throat, when there is the paroxysm of cough produced by the inflammation in the larynx and bronchi, the conditions - as we find - are gradually being relieved. And unless there is some cold or congestion arising from indiscretion, or from allowing poisons or congestion to accumulate from non-eliminations through the alimentary canal and complications arise, the conditions will gradually better.

2. We would change somewhat the applications being used in the present. As we find, it would be well to continue with the syrup and the compounds in same. It is not necessary for the Syrup of Squill unless there is the nausea or paroxysm of coughing.

3. Then, rather than the stimuli in wine, we would use apple brandy or gin - these would be much preferable. Do not put these together, but rather they may be taken at different times in small sips.

4. The diet we would follow rather as outlined; easily assimilated foods but strengthening to the whole vitality of the system. The beef juices and the junket, or vegetable soups or the like. The concentrated vegetable soups are well also to alter with the beef juices, as would be small quantities of fruits of any kind that the body may desire or take. No large quantities or no fats of any amount should be taken, but if these are kept in the manner as outlined - remembering to keep the circulation by the massage and heating of the feet, a little rubbing or massaging along the spine, especially in the areas above the diaphragm will also be well.

5. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) What would relieve, at the time, the hard spells of

breathing or smothery spells? (A) Very small quantities of the Calcidin, taken every five to ten minutes, but these we would not give with the other properties - save at the paroxysms of coughing. This is preferable, of course, to be dissolved and given warm, see?

7. (Q) What will relieve, at the time, the intense pain in the head? (A) The same. Keep as far away as possible from the necessity of using narcotics, but if it becomes necessary - of course, these may be resorted to, but keep away from them as much as possible.

8. (Q) The Al-Caroid and Bile Salts will be the best for the alimentary canal? (A) As given.

9. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Do these, as we find. Be very careful about exposure, or too great attempt to exercise - as the body is up, or gets up - or too great amount of ANY activity to over-excite the body.

10. We are through with this reading. Two copies to Daughter - Wired also Copy to Ass'n file
