Time of Reading 11:15 to 12:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [268]; this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, there are many changes in the general physical conditions of the body since last we had it here.
3. There are STILL those conditions, however, that were they corrected would not only prevent greater disturbances later on but would in the present make for better and a more coordinating physical functioning of the body.
4. The greater distresses in the present, as we find, have to do with the incoordination between the impulsive forces in the physical functioning of the body and those centers or ganglia that affect the functioning of the system - as in relation to the responses that are received in the system through their varied functionings.
5. This, then, as indicated, brings the condition more to the nerve system than to the functioning or the organic disturbances specifically.
6. There are specific conditions that result from these improper coordinations, or the preventing of proper coordination in those centers specifically where both the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic coordinate in the mental and physical reaction; also those centers where incoordinations exist between the impulses towards the functioning of specific organs as related to the coordination of sympathetic and cerebrospinal.
7. These specific centers, as we find - first (going from head toward foot) affect the organs of the sensory system in a reflex way and manner, as well as those specific conditions that show changes in activity of the organs affected both by the nerve and blood impulse in their circulation through the organs; as in throat, head, nasal passages, and the activity of these as related to the assimilation and removal of used forces through these portions of the body; preventing, then, the accumulations that make for the thickening of tissue or the creating of an
268-2 Page 2
excess that appears as scar tissue, or affects conditions relating to producing plethora in the muco-membranes of such tissue, by the slowed circulation that passes through the portion of the body.
8. Then, specifically, these centers are in the 3rd and 4th cervical area, as well as from the 2nd to the 4th dorsal area. With the correction of these, and with the relieving of impingements that occur there, there will be made an activity more normal through all the upper portion of the body.
9. Again do we find those centers and ganglia in the 8th and 9th dorsal area, affected both reflexly and specifically, as related to those impulses that go for the increasing or decreasing of the metabolism of the system - as related to circulation, and also affecting the digestive forces in a reflex manner in the organs of digestion.
10. This makes for tendencies that occur at times, when there is the inability for the body to enjoy or to assimilate, or even scarcely force self to take food; while at other times it makes - apparently - an unreasonable or abnormal tendency towards the desire for certain kinds or character of foods.
11. Also with the relieving of the pressures existent there, and with the application of a low electrical vibration especially in this area, would stimulate not only the superficial circulation by such stimuli from electrical forces but would enable the deeper tissue to be affected by the adjustments and manipulations in this area particularly; thus effecting a more perfect coordination through the activity of the digestive system.
12. The same condition, yet of a different nature, occurs in the lumbar and the pelvic area, which makes for those conditions causing distresses through the various activities of the organs of the pelvis, as well as to those of the eliminating system as related to the digestive body.
13. Specifically, as we find, a lesion exists in the 4th lumbar plexus.
14. Then, we would relieve these pressures, taking sufficient manipulative forces to produce a better coordination both to the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system (from the areas as indicated), with the application of the violet ray especially in those areas of the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal; also at the base or in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cervical area.
15. These should bring about a better physical condition for this body.
16. Ready for questions.
268-2 Page 3
17. In making the applications, the manipulation and corrective forces in adjustments should be at least twice each week for the first two to three weeks. Then they may be reduced to the period of once each week.
18. We would in the beginning make one treatment specifically, more in the form of adjustments, each week; and following such an adjustment period we would apply the violet ray, using the bulb anode, and the application should be for the area given, for at least three to fifteen minutes.
19. The other treatment each week, during the first two to three weeks, would be a general one; that is, tending to relieve the pressure, increase or stimulate circulation through ALL PORTIONS of the system affected both organically and functionally through the disturbance in the circulation, both as to nerves and as to blood supply.
20. In the matter of diet, this should be of a general constitutional nature in most respects, but tending more to an alkalin rather than too great an acid balance.
21. (Q) Should the violet ray follow the general manipulation treatment? (A) Better were it to follow the adjustment treatment.
22. (Q) What doctor in Norfolk is best to give these treatments for this body? (A) Any in sympathy with the information given through these sources, and for the best interests of the body. Either Richardson or McCrary [M. L. Richardson, D.O. and/or B. J. McCrary, D.O.] would be well. Richardson is possibly the better for this case, through his abilities as related to tissue that is affected by - and is affecting - the general system, as to the SENSORY organism.
23. (Q) Will this nervous condition affect me mentally? (A) It must eventually do so, unless there is better coordination created between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nervous system; for the general TENSION is produced by an irritation to the imaginative or impulsive forces. Thus the organs are affected in their functioning, and would generally throw the whole system out of balance unless measures are taken for the correcting of the coordination.
24. (Q) Are there any conditions with myself or husband that would prevent my having a child? (A) Not as we find, if there will be brought about those effective measures where the activities of gestation are able to be retained by the body in its activity. But, with the general condition that is effective in the system at present, there is the incapacity of RETAINING those
268-2 Page 4
influences in their activity for, or through, gestation.
25. (Q) What causes pain in mornings through my back and stomach? (A) As indicated, this is that particular area where there should be the applications of the violet ray for the superficial activity, as well as the effectiveness that this will be through the corrective measures in the solar plexus area as indicated. The cause, then, is from incoordination in the sympathetic and cerebrospinal, in the solar plexus area; making for the hypogastric contraction that produces the stomach disturbances. And naturally, with same comes the effective forces across the small of the back, in the form of pain produced by contraction of the muscular forces, by incoordination of the nerve plexus or ganglia itself.
26. (Q) Do I have chronic appendicitis? (A) Rather that as may be termed the superficial activity, or that medically termed neurotic; which is saying that the effects are often indicated by the activities of the nerves in this particular area. But this should disappear, as should all those conditions of the neurotic or nerve tendency nature, with the relaxation of the cerebrospinal plexuses in the dorsal area as indicated, from the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and with the stimuli for the proper evacuation of the whole digestive system or the intestinal tract, and with the stimulation of the electrical forces.
27. (Q) Was doctor's X-Ray examination correct in saying I had calcified gland in lower right side of stomach? (A) As we find, these are not calcified areas, nor are the glands calcified. They are rather impoverished, through the attempt of the system as a whole to supply impulses through ganglia that are impoverished by such activity. With the rejuvenation, and with the relief of those ganglia along the cerebrospinal system - especially as related to the sympathetic and cerebrospinal areas, where coordination may be more effective - we will find these conditions to be relieved, and not necessary for any form of an operation.
28. (Q) (left out of [original rdg.] reading, by request). Is masturbation or self-abuse injurious? [Copies for her on a separate piece of paper.] (A) Ever injurious, unless it is the activity that comes with the natural raising of the vibrations in system to meet the needs or the excess of those impulses in a body.
29. (Q) What is the cause of nail biting, and how can I prevent it? (A) This is produced especially by nervous reactions in system, and is a form of a habit. With the removal of those tendencies that make for the inability of coordination of impulse and activity, and reducing these to normalcy, then
268-2 Page 5
the WILL in self to stop, change or alter such conditions becomes an easy, or easier, matter.
30. (Q) What is best laxative for me to take, and what medicines? (A) As indicated from the character of the diet and from the stimulation necessary in the cerebrospinal system, there is the tendency for constipation - as indicated by a neurotic condition in the area. or region of the caecum, transverse and ascending colon. We would find THIS advisable as an alternative, to use with the manipulative measures: First, one day we would take at least a tablespoonful of Milk of Magnesia. The next day, or next evening, take a tablespoonful of Milk of Bismuth. The next day we would take a compound known as or called Alophen pellets - ONE. The next day we would take the combination of agar, phenolphthalein and the jelly of psyllium (called Emul-Psyllo). Occasionally it would be well, even with these, for the body to take the Blond Psyllium seed twice each day; that is, the day it is to be taken it should be twice in the one day; that is, to be taken with the other properties - or during the same period. None of these will make for producing the dependence upon the activity of the secro-gastric fluids of the system, nor will they take from the intestinal tract the tendency for the peristaltic movement. But will work with those treatments that are corrective. When taking the psyllium, take it at the meals, or WITH the meal - a tablespoonful of the seed in FOUR tablespoonsful of hot water, stirring same so that it jellies and is cool before it is taken or masticated.
31. (Q) Are Crazy Crystal salts good for me? (A) These are rather severe under the existent conditions, upon those glands in the lacteal forces of the body, and produce rather an astringent effect upon the system afterward. They are very well at times, but when it becomes necessary for such it would be much PREFERABLE for the body to take Eno Salts - which are from the fruit and vegetable extracts.
32. (Q) Are the eyes and teeth in good condition?
268-2 Page 6
(A) The teeth need some local attention, though teeth and eyes BOTH will be very much improved when those instructions given have been followed out. Those teeth that need particular attention at present are those next to the wisdom teeth, at the top.
33. (Q) Should any teeth be removed? (A) Local attention rather than removal, as we find in the present.
34. (Q) Is bridge in good condition? (A) Very good condition.
35. (Q) Should I have any treatment for eyes? (A) As indicated in the one to make the adjustments and treatments, this individual is especially a specialist in the coordination of the general system with the activities of the sensory system; and where there is the necessity - or should there come the necessity of specific application for eyes - this would be accorded, but - as we find - only the correction of clearing the activity of the circulation would be necessary.
36. (Q) Have I an inferiority complex? (A) When this is asked, there may be indicated - by the inability of coordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal - that others might consider the body would be of such a nature, but with the correction of those conditions, such may be eliminated entirely from the system.
37. (Q) Now that the tonsil and nose operation is over, should my general health be better? (A) Unless there is created a coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system by the ganglia indicated, this will only be of a temporary nature.
38. (Q) Do I have trouble with my gall bladder? (A) Only sympathetically.
39. (Q) And kidneys? (A) Sympathetically also, through the activity of the glands in the area, produced by the impoverishment of the circulation, which produces irritation at times to the bladder - but no specific condition. Do these as we have outlined, and we will bring a much more normal and a much better ability for the body mentally and physically to meet the emergencies and conditions in the activities of the body.
40. (Q) Is Dr. Redwood [M.D.] a good doctor? (A) Very good as a physician. As one to meet the needs of the conditions in the present for this body, not so good. An excellent physician, however, in general.
