Time of Reading 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. San Francisco, Calif.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [270], of Room ..., San Francisco, California who seeks advice to guide self and of his business and personal relations, associations, working conditions, and surroundings with those of the Plant Dept. and the other Depts. of the ... Co. in San Francisco and at Chicago and New York City. You will now inform [270] the status of his present connections in San Francisco, the associations, surroundings and conditions, giving particular reference to the results of his efforts to correct matters pertaining to self. To improving his business affiliations and relations with those Western Union executives in charge of operation, and inform him if he is now rendering a satisfactory service in the present position, otherwise what changes, improvements or precautions should he exercise to aid him in the direction sought. You will answer the other questions that I shall ask you.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body and the enquiring mind, [270]. This we have had before. Also those associations and relations as respecting the surroundings of the body. In the present associations and relations, these - in many ways and manners - have been, and are, satisfactory to those superior in office. As for self and self's surroundings and relationships, these have not been altogether so entirely satisfactory. In this connection, however, we would not change from that as we have given as respecting this; for, as is seen, this must be worked out for self. Also that, while there are opportunities in this direction, these should be worked towards those of back to other conditions more in keeping and in accord with the wishes and the abilities. This may be used, and as has been used, and can be used, as a training for other positions, conditions, relations and surroundings. These the entity will apply in self. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Is the natal planetary situation in this appearance responsible for the slow progress of this body? [See Life Rdg. 270-15.]

270-25 Page 2

(A) Not so especially. As has so oft been given as respecting planetary conditions, these produce tendencies and inclinations in the lives of individuals. The WILL'S application, the ability of combative forces is to be kept in accord with IDEALS, is for the development of AN individual, and it is as applicable here as in any. That innately there is the tendency to be dependent upon, or to wait or to listen to those in power or those in position, and not push or demand that in keeping with an ideal - that doesn't mean in a selfish manner, or in a self-exaltation, but rather in the manner as following for, working toward, being in attune WITH, an ideal.

4. (Q) Is it true that material changes will take place this year in his employment and life, enabling him to advance in the direction sought? (A) These will be in accord with that as has been given, that it may come about. As to whether this will be consummated in the present year, will depend as much upon the activities of the entity as of other surroundings. As we see, it would be in the latter part of the present year, a removal toward the East again.

5. (Q) Will this position result from the consolidation of the Radio Corp., American Tel & Tel and the Western Union? (A) Not necessarily so.

6. (Q) Will it mean that he will again change his residence, moving away from California? (A) That dependent upon the conditions and surroundings.

7. (Q) What industry is to become this country's next source of activity? (A) Those of the aerial nature; that is, radio and its associations; aerial and its associations.

8. (Q) What existing or new leader of industry is to come out of the future to stir the creative genius of this nation? (A) This has been given.

9. (Q) Give advice regarding shares held in Western Union. (A) Hold to 'em!

10. (Q) Give advice regarding shares held in Great Lakes Aircraft? (A) Don't dispose of them.

11. (Q) Give advice as to future handling of contemplated purchase of Missouri & Kansas Pipe Line stock? (A) This we wouldn't be too fast about.

12. (Q) Will a change of the Divisional Headquarters of the Telegraph Co. from San Francisco to Los Angeles materialize next year? (A) Seems to be the year after. Thirty-two.

13. (Q) Is the physical condition of [270] in satisfactory shape? (A) In a great many respects, very good.

14. (Q) Are there any other matters pertaining to the material and spiritual condition of this body that it should be advised about at this time? (A) Keep self in attunement with an ideal. Let the ideal be that in keeping with those conditions as have been outlined for the body. These are the truths most TO be kept MOST before self: MIND, the builder - but guided spiritually brings for those elements in the life as, when they have grown to seed, bring those conditions of a gratifying nature to the individual and individual development. Wherein there are allowed those of the carnal, or of the material nature to be predominating - these may have for the time being their glossiness and their gratification of physical desires, but "there is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is death."
