Time of Reading Room ..., 4:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. San Francisco, Calif. (Body and enquiring mind, seeking advice and information for guidance on his physical condition, present and future business associations BOTH in the Western Union Service or with some other company, in case change is made at some FUTURE time. You will answer the questions which will be asked concerning these.)
1. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [270] - this we have had before.
2. In the physical forces of the body we find there are some disorders. While not just as we have had before, these are kindred conditions - or the results are kindred in their reactions.
3. As we would find - with some [osteopathic] manipulations as would be given, especially in the lumbars, lower dorsals, brachial plexus region, throughout the cervical, WITH a violet ray treatment following - six to eight of the manipulations and a month to six weeks of the violet ray treatments - taken twice each week for the manipulations, each DAY for the violet ray - along the cerebrospinal nervous system and following out the ends, especially to the extremities - should bring about the normal forces.
4. Be mindful that the diet is not too acid, either from citrus fruit acid or that that creates for those of too much lacteals, keeping an even balance - which, as we find, may be accomplished with normal care, using carbonate - or bicarbonates, with hydrates - or those as we would find in Upjohn's bicarbonates, or hydrocarbonates, carbonates, phosphates, etc. [Upjohn's Citrocarbonates.] These taken occasionally will keep normal forces.
5. In the associations and relations, as we find, there will still be an opportunity by the body - when conditions have adjusted themselves somewhat and expansions are made with associate companies of Western Union, then there may be an opportunity with these that would be advancements for the body; or, there may be those advancements which would be of longer duration with the same organization - but ready for questions. These, however, might be answered better were they viewed from or with these - but we will answer

questions.
6. (Q) Because of former experience, guidance is sought that will forewarn me. You will advise me if those present associates who as given would supplant me in my business relations still remain in daily contact with me. (A) These have been overcome by the change in the surroundings, in a manner, and with those conditions that have been brought about. True, there have been reactions - or been activities on the part of those that are about the body - that would lend those conditions that would lead the body to believe such conditions as exist. Do not give too much credence to this. Rather know that timidity in part, fearful of own interests in other directions, and the slothfulness in presenting another's ideas rather than thine own, has been the cause of some of these conditions.
7. (Q) State the reason for their attitude towards me. (A) This is as has been found, and as has been given. In this association or this connection, the activities of the body itself are NOT worthy - and when same are in keeping with policies as outlined by the superior associates (or superior in OFFICE), why be MINDFUL of those conditions that are of littleness on the part of others?
8. (Q) How best may their encroachment be counteracted? (A) By doing just and right yourself!
9. (Q) Is not the word of mouth and actions as expressed by me illustrative of my desire and willingness to cooperate? (A) Should be!
10. (Q) Is the local and executive management of the Company satisfied with my efforts and work? (A) In the present.
11. (Q) In the present position where accounts and records are kept, I find contemporary substance yet seemingly devoid of progressive advancement. The real problem on my mind is how to improve over my present status. (A) Using those conditions as are in the present, using the knowledge, the understanding and the experience, the desire, in an equitable, just manner, will open for the body, the mind, those understandings of the problems as exist.
12. (Q) Since I await the opportunity to higher development, you will now outline for me my future activities, stating how and by what personal effort or influence I will rise physically, mentally and spiritually, and to a position of greater responsibility in Western Union Service or elsewhere. (A) As individuals show their abilities in the positions they occupy, there is given that necessary understanding for

the development of the individual in whatever direction the body-mind gives itself in. That the advancements, or the words as of commendation are not as often given as some feel they should be, know that the greater part of failure is within self. True, often it appears that because individuals have PULL, or friendships, that favors are shown. Is it considered WHY there are friendships, or favors? The LORD looketh on the just and the unjust alike. Fill that place that thou findest thyself IN, in a manner that is wholly acceptable unto WHATEVER POWERS one would serve, and GOD gives the INCREASE - whether of material, mental, or spiritual forces.
