(Enroute L.A. on Time of Reading South Pacific Set bet. 10:00 to 11:00 Train 80) Taken 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Rm. ..., ... St., S.F., Calif. (Body & enquiring mind, questions on mental affairs and material associations)
1. EC: We have those conditions in the mental and material, that affect and surround the body, [270], of Room ..., ... St., now enroute to Los Angeles. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) State the physical conditions of this body, advising if the lump under jaw on left side of neck is a malignant growth or allied with the enlarged thyroid. [See 270-9.] (A) This, as we find, is not of the malignant nature, and is rather that allied with the glands that are affected by those conditions of which the body has been warned, as respecting that in neck and shoulder. With the correction of such conditions in the cervical and upper dorsal area, these would be aided and there would be the reduction of such conditions. We would also use as a massage a mixture of Iodex and Animated Ash. Use one-quarter ounce of Iodex as a base, adding one-quarter grain of Animated Ash. This should be massaged gently, or rubbed on, twice each day, when retiring and when arising. Do not massage roughly, but massage gently as much as will be absorbed.
3. (Q) Will my mother [4789] or the estate obtain during 1933 a satisfactory price of the sale of either piece of property located at 2309 and 2314 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago? (A) As we find, this may be disposed of at a satisfactory price in '33.
4. (Q) Is the United States program for domestic and foreign economic recovery materializing satisfactorily? (A) Materializing satisfactorily in the present. There are those plans for a greater expansion. There must come a change in the associations, in connection with the tariff
270-29 Page 2
conditions, for a more satisfactory advantage. These, as we find, may be expected to be changed, or altered to more satisfactory conditions, in '33 and 4.
5. (Q) Will the United States of all the nations be the first to achieve recovery from the present era of depression? (A) United States, as we find, will be the first to adjust themselves to the conditions more satisfactorily that are necessary for the beginning of a recovery, or for a proper relationship of values in their proper perspective. The depressions, as we find, while of an international nature, are more in the reason accorded from improper valuations in their respect to the mental and spiritual conditions of the people; for, as is seen, when there has been a condition where people are run as in a riot to view or obtain that which is satisfying for the individual use, and there is fear aroused, then all scatter without any idea of the cause or the affect that may be produced upon the neighbor, or one being harmed by the activity of self. FEAR having entered. Hence, in the recovery, that one, that nature, that nation, which has as its basis the true perception, through conviction of what IS an ideal in the mental and the spiritual affairs of its Maker, will be able to overcome this fear first. The United States are capable of such, and - as we find - if these and the kindred pressures made for this condition to be adjusted through such measures, or such bases, then we may expect this to be the first to adjust and to begin the recovery of stabilization in every phase of its experience and its endeavors.
6. (Q) Will the next three months mark the end of the present crisis, allowing history to repeat as it did in August of 1921, or will the turn come along with the national election as it did in 1924? (A) As given, the astrological position and the general trend is that this change will come in October. This before the national election, and - as has also been given - if the adjustments of the secular or material nature that have been set in motion able to gain such a headway through the current month, there will not be a change in the administration. If this is unable to be set on foot, or for stabilization in many quarters, then there may be expected to be a change in administration.
7. (Q) Will the value of the basic food commodities be the first to reflect a visible sign of this improvement? (A) That depends upon whether these are used as the criterions to point out to the masses the stabilization. As we find, however, the attempts are to be rather in those that are of construction materials, or basis - of silver,
270-29 Page 3
gold, and steel.
8. (Q) Will this change mark the beginning of another cycle of unprecedented hysteria and price inflation? (A) Rather will this require a greater period of time for inflations, and the like, to occur. More in an ORDERLY manner, and more in the proper valuations; for this change is to be first instituted or entered into through a SPIRITUAL change in the aptitudes, or attitudes, of masses, groups, and individuals.
9. (Q) Will the United States always remain on the Gold Standard? (A) If these are able to be carried through, it will. If they are changed, it won't.
10. (Q) Will the November election result in a change of our national administration? (A) As outlined.
11. (Q) If the Western Union Telegraph Company decides to acquire ownership of the Postal Telegraph Company, would the United States Government object to this plan? (A) It will not, under the conditions in which it is to be presented.
12. (Q) Will this acquisition materialize in 1933? (A) Rather 4.
13. (Q) By the amalgamation of the facilities of the two telegraph companies, will the Pacific Division headquarters be moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles? (A) It will. That is the change contemplated, at least.
14. (Q) Will this merger create a new field of endeavor for the present Western Union subsidiaries, providing an opportunity for this body in work of a kindred nature? (A) It will, providing for all those that have been in the developing of the organization a greater opportunity for the expressing and manifesting of their abilities in the various fields of activity; following for this individual, [270], that field in which there will be the presenting of more subsidiary organizations in transposition of portions, of the various types of conditions relative to the work of the organization, will be the field - or better field - of activity for the body.
15. (Q) Is this body observing the right course in preparing self for future opportunities? (A) As given, these are the fields; and if the body is in line with this, then the better are the activities of the body in that direction.
16. (Q) Mr. J. Ralph McInery with whom this body is associated in the Gold Bank Mines Corporation states assistance is now available permitting installation of machinery for the operation of the Gold Crown Mine. Are the
270-29 Page 4
plans as designed for working this property (not the one mentioned in previous reading) - (A) (Interrupting) It's changed. (Question continued) satisfactory for successful operation? (Answer continued) As we find, these should prove, unless there are interferences in other directions, a satisfactory way and manner for successful operations.
17. (Q) Will this property be on production this year? (A) It should be, if these are carried out. If not, it will be delayed.
18. (Q) This body's monetary contribution to the Association work has never been satisfactory to it, hence it asks, will the return from the Gold Crown Property provide that means so it can amply help the Association in its efforts of research and enlightenment? (A) If there are the sincere endeavors to set aside some particular activity in any of the activities of the body in this direction, and these are kept as sincerely by the body as is the desire for the body to gain for self in many directions, then WHATEVER is chosen as the field of activity for the aid that is desired to be contributed to this WILL succeed.
19. (Q) To aid in planning financial assistance, will you give a tentative estimate of the return this body may expect by years and for the next ten years? (A) These, as we find, in the present year will be in the same proportion of deflation as it was for the first cuts as accepted, in proportion or ratio, see? In the next, we will find an advance (of the coming year) of twenty percent in ALL of the operations of every nature by the body. In the next will be an advance from that that has EVER been held by this body of twenty to forty percent. These should be sufficient.
20. (Q) Following advice this body continues to hold investments in Western Union and Great lakes Aircraft companies. Shall it continue to do so? (A) Should continue to do so, for these will prove to be MOST valuable.
21. (Q) Should additional purchases of stock in either company be made at this time? (A) We would make those that are capable of being made with impunity, considering all conditions and layouts in all directions. Add little by little to that already held.
22. (Q) Employees of the Western Union Company have since November 1931 taken three wage reductions. What percent of
270-29 Page 5
these wage cuts will be restored in 1933 and 1934? (A) Be back on a normal basis by the middle of '34.
23. (Q) Will dividend payments be resumed by either company during 1933? (A) They will. Both.
24. (Q) With the entire world in the throes of a new order of things, is there anything else that you would care to say to this body at this time concerning its relation with the present or future? (A) If there will be considered carefully that which is the basis upon which there must become adjustments to the worlds, to the nations, and apply same in SELF'S own experience, the SPIRITUAL awakening must be the basis for all activities - whether individual, group, masses, nation, or world.
