Time of Reading Rm. ... ... St., 10:45 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. San Fran., Ca. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his physical, mental, material and spiritual welfare. Ques.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, the enquiring mind, the material surroundings, the spiritual developments. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) Compare present general health with those conditions found before. (A) In the general physical forces we find the body very good. There are conditions that arise at times from a humor as it were in the blood supply by the superacidity, as we find that occurs at times from indiscretions in the diet. But as to the general conditions, they are very good; show some improvements from that as we have had before.
3. (Q) What causes the tightening condition of throat and will you outline corrective treatment? (A) We will find if there will be the alkalinizing of the system more often, with Bicarbonate of Soda or the activities of any mild alkalinizing agent, those tendencies for contraction will be relieved; as well as by an exercise that would be general for the body - such as once a week or once in two weeks having a thorough workout in gym work followed by a full massage.
4. (Q) Does the hair condition show improvement and should the same treatment be continued? (A) It shows some improvement. There is a better condition. And as we find if those conditions will be kept up the results will be more satisfactory.
5. (Q) Are proper ingrediencies being used? (A) These are very good, as indicated.
6. (Q) Can the abrasion on left ear be removed satisfactorily by an electric needle? (A) Be very good.
7. (Q) Is the mind and reasoning ability reflecting a

better stability? (A) Reflecting better stability. There are still at times those periods of not exactly self-condemnation; rather is there the condemning of others for the mental attitudes and tendency of the body. These should not be as we find either in the form of SELF-condemnation or the condemning in others and thus making for EXCUSES for self. Rather meet them all as in a unison, as in a cooperative manner. Study rather the associations of individuals or groups, or the associations in material ways where individuals and self AGREE. Draw comparisons not of what SELF thinks but of what would be the IDEAL manner from a SPIRITUAL approach. These will tend to make for a broadening of the vision, the abilities to concentrate better, and outlooks will make for quite a different activity with the body.
8. (Q) Is satisfactory progress being made in overcoming restraining influences? (A) These as we have indicated will also help in this. Better conditions are being manifested; but these tendencies, these tendencies for excusing of this or that, or just trying or attempting to overlook conditions.
9. (Q) Regarding employment, do the officers and immediate superior regard work performed and supervised by me as satisfactory? (A) Very satisfactory as we find, and there are those considerations for conditions - when there are changes - of the advancement.
10. (Q) Can this immediate superior be relied to deal fairly and to cooperate in all work with me? (A) Well, this would be approaching from a different angle. Remember that thou puttest out in the manners that have been indicated above or just given, as respecting the manner of approach to associated ideas and ideals, is reaped by self. The seeds are sown in the very activities of purposes and aims and desires, in material or commercial natures in business as well as in a social or economic way and manner. They bear their fruits. That ye find reflected in your superiors as to thine own activity is that as ye reflect in them. What you think of them, what they think of you.
11. (Q) Is any reorganization plan involving the local accounting group being considered other than that which I shall make of work assignments? (A) These as we find have not been and are not being considered, other than that being planned by the body itself.
12. (Q) Will the August meeting with the Company officers and employers' representatives result in a further wage restoration for me?
270-36 Page 3
(A) It will.
13. (Q) What disposition will be made of the Saturday Time and vacation deduction question? (A) This will also be made advantageous to the employees, that are more and more in keeping with the general restoration of normalcy in the whole associations of the organization throughout.
14. (Q) All things considered, is there any prospect for advancement in my position with Telegraph Co. in near future? (A) In the next seventeen months.
15. (Q) Would the study of English and Mathematics under the personal directions of an individual teacher prove beneficial in my work? (A) WE would prefer studying the Cody system, NOT under personal supervision but as more of a GENERAL ORGANIZED association in this direction. The mathematics would be well and better under the personal supervision.
16. (Q) Will compulsory taxes require abolishment of the Telegraph Co.'s pension plan or will the Actuarial study provide a more definite base for continuance? (A) The Actuarial study will prove a more STABLE base. These, of course, are local conditions, these are State affairs; but these will be met by the organization in such a way and manner that individual employees who have shown an interest and who keep in constant touch with these employees who have shown an interest and who keep in constant touch with these will be able to assist in working out those plans whereby protection will be provided for the employees throughout.
17. (Q) Will the Democratic party be defeated in the November National Election. (A) This is outside of the influences from the entity, and as we find is not a question that would be involved in the associations of the entity's capacities or the entity's activities. As we find from the GENERAL situations this depends too much upon that which will be carried on from next Saturday to November.
18. (Q) Is I.T. & T. stock still regarding as a good investment? (A) It is a good investment. One of the best.
19. (Q) Now apply the same test to the Air-Craft industry and advise which company's stock affords the best investment. (A) Those of the National Airways.
20. (Q) Is the idea held by me for the construction of an inside circular radio antenna practicable, and should I have
270-36 Page 4
a model made? (A) The IDEA as held has already been put into use in some of the present constructed models; though as we find there may be changes made and this made so that it would be not inside but an UNDERGROUND that is provided with different character, that would be worth considering. Consider that it in that light, rather than on the inside, see? The inside may be constructed and constructed in the same way and manner for large aggregations as in homes, but let the antenna and each of its posts, as has been considered, be those better glass inserted, or glass that prevents steel or magnetized forces producing a destructive influence.
21. (Q) For guidance in sale of property at 2314 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, will you outline the plan to follow? (A) As we find, as conditions gradually change, and these have changed in many different ways and many of the periods or times that have been indicated that there should have been an activity have passed without any consideration being given at those particular periods and connections, we would in the present - using the regular channels that would make for the disposition of these - use the regular channels to make for handling of such.
22. (Q) Is the price asked reasonable for ready sale? (A) Isn't considered so. About a fifteen percent reduction in same will make it more desirable, to be sure, and not injure the full returns from same - if the right channels are considered.
23. (Q) Are there developments since the Life Reading made for me in March 1928 that warrant bringing this up to date? [See 270-15.] (A) These are changing and as the periods or cycles of the life are as the changes throughout, these WOULD be desirable.
24. (Q) Everyone that works for a living knows the raucouses [harshnesses, stridencies, etc.] and jealousies that exist, but why is it these seem to affect me more as I grow older, and by what counteract method can they be made dormant? (A) Consider that as has first been given. These conditions exist in the experience of each individual. There is the tendency for some entities, as with this entity, as with ALL entities, to JUSTIFY self in what comes to pass in this or that activity no matter what the association may be; whether it is in the home, in the friendships, in the business relations. Each soul - and especially this entity - tends to JUSTIFY itself according
270-36 Page 5
to some rule, according to some regulation; and there are those tendencies to overlook that there are the environs and the activities that may cause others to act in such a given way and manner. Then as has been indicated, follow those suggestions outlined; knowing that to self is given the opportunity, the privilege of sowing the seed - not in a selfish manner. Sow the seed; then LEAVE - by mental exertion, by mental activity - the RESULTS with the Creative Forces; KNOWING - or being assured by thine own standard - that what thou hast sown is constructive. And we will find these attitudes and these conditions will gradually change.
25. (Q) Is there any other information that you would like to impart to me at this time? (A) These are the better; or to reiterate that that as has been given formerly: Study to show self approved unto that thou dost hold as thine own ideal; knowing that not of self art thou able to accomplish but very, very little, all that thou may accomplish of a material nature changes and fades day by day. But that thou hath sown, that thou hath given in the fruits of the spirit - or in the line of the fruits of the spirit - GROWS, and becomes a part of the own soul self-development. So, a kind word, a hope that is given to any soul under any expression will finally find fruition in the experience of the individual.
