1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind, [270], who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his health, his mental and material affairs. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [270]; this we have had before.
3. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) Is the present physical condition as good as that found before? (A) In the main, the present physical condition is as well as that we have had before. While there are some conditions that at times aggravate the system, these - as we have indicated - may be eliminated, or held in abeyance by the applications, and keeping close to those suggestions as we have indicated as to material or physical applications, as well as activities in the form of exercises, and in other directions.
5. (Q) Is the result of the use of ointment for the glandular disturbance satisfactory, and is proper response forthcoming? (A) As we find, the rest of these applications must be kept in mind, as well as the ointment. As we find, the response should be satisfactory.
6. (Q) Was the removal of the wart in the right ear satisfactorily performed? (A) This is very good.
7. (Q) Should the abrasion on the left ear and the other blemishes as specified by Dr. Ingels be removed? (A) This should wait until at least two or three cycles or moons yet before being undertaken - say in February or March.
8. (Q) Is there any other advice for the well-being of my body? (A) In the physical forces, these we would keep much in the way and manner as we have indicated - as to exercise, diet, and the general attitude. The reactions to physical conditions, as well as environs, will have as much to do with the conditions, of course, as the activity of those

applications physically made for improvements to the body.
9. (Q) Because 2314 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago, property has not been sold, the estate matters are causing me some concern. Is it advisable that the proposal to lease 2314 for three years at the same rental be accepted, or can this deal be made on the basis of the proposal for one year with a renewal clause permitting extension for two more years, subject to adjustment of rental? (A) This would be the more satisfactory manner - that is, the one with the clause. For as we find, there will be the needs for adjustments of rentals - because there will be those conditions arising which will make the necessity for same; in a most satisfactory manner, though, for all concerned.
10. (Q) Information is also desired on the advisability of placing a mortgage on both properties to pay up back taxes and indebtedness, including attorney and administrative fees. Such action would permit release of the estate from Probate Court, segregate the indebtedness. Should such a plan be followed, or may I anticipate the sale of 2314 in the near future? (A) As we find, it would be the more satisfactory to clear the indebtedness from the Court, and in the manner or form indicated above.
11. (Q) Is there any other informative advice that I should be given relating to the handling of estate matters? (A) These as we find should clear the conditions for at least another year, and then give the opportunity for the entity to have that privilege of looking into and handling things concerning the whole activity in a more equitable manner for all concerned.
12. (Q) Do present plans indicate the return of plant accounting work from Omaha to San Francisco? (A) This is still a question that will be regulated, as we find, by some other combinations that are still in the way of being changed. As we find, however, it is more plausible for the return of this to San Francisco.
13. (Q) Will this be January 1, 1940. or at a later date that year? (A) Later date that year - not exactly on the first.
14. (Q) Is it planned by the officers of this company that I shall undertake the supervision of this work for the division auditor?
270-43 Page 3
(A) This as we find is the plan in the present.
15. (Q) My seniority in the plant department ranks near the top. Considering this and my personal desire to remain in the department, is it preferable that I accept transfer to the auditor's office? (A) This would be more in keeping with the regular line which allows for the seniority to give the preference over the other general activities. This would be more in keeping with that in which the greater service and the greater activities may be for the peaceable actions throughout the connections with the organization, association or corporation.
16. (Q) There is a tangible psychology allied with the years of service in this department. For that reason, I am interested in knowing if this tie should be broken what the outcome would be five or ten years hence. (A) This will depend more upon the general conditions outside than that of the psychological effect that would be created by such a breaking, see?
17. (Q) Nov. 1, '39, National Labor Relations Board rendered its decision in an order directing the W.U.T. Co. to cease dominating the Assoc. of W.U. employees, likewise ordered the Assoc. to disestablish itself. On Nov. 3 the Assoc. petitioned the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal, N.Y., for an order to set aside the N.L.R.B. order. Will these proceedings permit the Assoc. to continue as the bargaining agent for the employees, or will an alliance with another organization be necessary to enable it to continue operation? (A) As we find, it will not be necessary for its affiliation or association with other organizations, but will be considered by the government in its activity in such a way and manner that it will remain as that channel through which the relationships will be the closer established between the employees and the employers of the Western Union.
18. (Q) Any other advice for this body at this time? (A) These we would keep in mind for the physical as well as the general conditions as related to associations and affiliations with the corporation of the Western Union.
