Time of Reading Room ..., ... St., 4:30 to 4:45 P. M. Eastern War Time. San Francisco, Calif.
1. GC: You will have before you the entity, [270], Room ..., ... St., San Francisco, Calif., who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his mental, physical and material welfare. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them.
2. EC: San Francisco - right hilly, isn't it?
3. Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [270]; this we have had before.
4. In the physical forces we find there are many changes. Some are improvements. Some are the general worry and the wear and tear of body energies, the lack of keeping abreast of refueling the mental and spiritual life as the body would the material or physical life.
5. But ready for questions.
6. (Q) Is my mental and physical condition as good as that found before? (A) In the main, yes. There are some specific disturbing conditions that upset the body at times, but in the main as good as before, allowing for what would be called the wear and tear of body - yes.
7. (Q) Was the recent diagnosis of an ulcer in the duodenal area, another on the underside of stomach, correct? (A) No. These, as we find, have been lacerations and the better the condition will be if there is the following of those suggestions that have been made, making more milk in the diet where it is practical. Keep away from fats and oils, and it will be better. Do use occasionally the Charcoal Tablets prepared by Kellogg's. These are the better absorbents and will protect the area. Use the Saffron Tea also. Put a pinch of the American Saffron (between thumb and forefinger) in a teacup and fill with boiling water. Let it stand for thirty minutes, strain and drink. Do this once a day, preferably in the evening when ready to retire. This will be well for the condition.

8. (Q) Has the medical treatment cleared up this condition? (A) Not entirely, else we would not have given the suggestion for the administrations in these directions.
9. (Q) Are the Von's Pink pills a satisfactory relief for my condition? (A) These are very good - they tend to keep down the acidity.
10. (Q) Should Adiron tablets be continued? (A) Not under the present combinations. In the present we would preferably use the multiple vitamins as prepared by Miles Laboratories.
11. (Q) Has the lump [carbuncle] on neck receded and should the use of Mutton Tallow, Camphor, Benzoin and Turpentine compound be continued? (A) It has receded but we would continue with the use of those properties suggested, until we eliminate by absorption the entire condition.
12. (Q) Should the wart in ear be removed at this time? If removed, will it reappear as before? (A) It may be removed but we would use the electric needle and it will not return again.
13. (Q) Is it indicated that the property in Chicago listed for sale with Kenny Bros. will be sold by them? Is the price equitable? Can you advise when? (A) Between now and the first of October it should be sold. The price is equitable.
14. (Q) Do you find the work handled under my supervision being conducted efficiently and satisfactorily? (A) In most instances, yes. There has been, as experienced by the entity, some animosity shown by some. These have stirred up at times disturbing factors. Under present conditions little or nothing is being said respecting same.
15. (Q) Is the proper attitude regarding departmental policies being adhered to? (A) This is better.
16. (Q) Should my efforts to raise the degree of cooperation and confidence to a higher level be continued or is an humble attitude better wisdom under present environments? (A) They should be continued. These should be kept in that way as to raise the higher attitude but in an humble capacity and not in that way of "do as I say or be damned."
17. (Q) Now that Postal facilities and personnel have been acquired, will you state how I will fit into the own-all organizational plan? (A) As we find, as there are the adjustments when changes come about, these should be most agreeable and satisfactory for the entity, but don't be discouraged or disturbed if the

entity is transferred eastward.
18. (Q) With this acquisition divisional territory may be rearranged and a new headquarters office established in the middle west? (A) Mind what has just been given.
19. (Q) What location is most likely to be chosen for the headquarters office? (A) That near Omaha.
20. (Q) Is it indicated that I will be considered for one of the important positions in that office? (A) This depends a great deal upon that which will be transpiring between now and the time when these things come about. Yes, of course the entity is in line. As to whether it would be considered by the entity as a key position depends upon many things.
21. (Q) Will such a plan be operative this year? (A) Not as we find, this year, though it may be set in motion this year - but not outlined for definite changes as yet, as we find. This will come more with the reconstruction period.
22. (Q) Considering the recent change in Western Union stock from 100 par to 70 par, is the present Class "A" a safe investment? (A) Good and ever will be - for many years yet.
23. (Q) Will the Class "B" enhance more in value this year than the Class "A" stock? (A) No.
24. (Q) Do my efforts and loyalty to my employer warrant a more substantial remuneration? (A) This will be cared for.
25. (Q) Will this be granted voluntarily? (A) As just indicated.
26. (Q) Upon termination of the last World War the automobile and radio became important industrial achievements. What principal product will enjoy similar leadership after present duration? (A) All of the industrial products, including radio, ice box, automobile, lights.
27. (Q) Will electronic modulation coupled with television become an important consumers product when present war ends? (A) It will.
28. (Q) Are you inclined at this time to comment on the outcome of the Presidential Election in November 1944? (A) WE ARE THROUGH! Copy to Self " " Ass'n file " under case number for indexing
