Time of Reading 417 - 22nd St. 11:10 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Va. Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [271], here; this we have had before.

2. Now, as we find, there are the indications of improvements in the general physical and mental reactions in the body.

3. That there may be understood just what is taking place in the mental and the physical reactions, and their coordinations in the system, it would be well to review these reactions; that those who care for the body, and those about the body, may know that with which they have to deal - and that to be met!

4. As we have given, there is very good mental reaction - as far as the mental being is concerned. There is very good reaction in the physical body. The trouble is in the COORDINATION of these through the various centers. Nerve exhaustion, through conditions that were of the nature as we have described, prevents the coordinating much in the same way and manner as where an electrical connection is made with a system and is only partially, or spasmodically, MADE - as it were - to make connection; by mental reaction or mental suggestions, or by physical reactions. Then, they are only partially connected, so that the reactions are very much in the same way and manner.

5. Now, in the physical forces of the body (as seen and understood, in the nervous systems of the body), there are those glands that secrete fluids which in the circulation sustain and maintain the reaction fluid in the nerve channels themselves.

6. There is the cerebrospinal system, which in this body is VERY good.

7. There is the sympathetic nervous system, which makes for the IMPULSES and the reactions that are received in the

271-5 Page 2

system by suggestive forces, by reactions that make for stimuli to nerve centers and plexus through the system that make for connecting with the cerebrospinal to the brain centers themselves. For, all impulses for reaction must have their centers, or reacting centers, in the brain centers themselves.

8. Now, in the cerebrospinal system there are centers, or ganglia, where there are those connections with the cerebrospinal that go more directly to the brain. And we find that all sensory system are more sympathetic with the activities of the sympathetic, or the sensory and sympathetic nerve system - see?

9. Hence by speech, by vision, by odor, by feeling, ALL make a sensitive reaction on a body where there is being electrical stimulation to ganglia to make for connections in their various activities over the system.

10. Hence it may be easily seen how CAREFUL all should be, how much precaution, patience and persistence must be had, in making every suggestion; by speech, by sight, by feeling, by vision, by eating, by sleeping, by ALL SENSES of the body; to coordinate with the PROPER balance being made in the system. See?

11. Hence, with the low form of electrical vibration that is set up in the system, there is being sent out from these ganglia those infinitesimal FEELERS, as it were, that will gradually make connections with those ganglia and centers in the system that have been destroyed by the reactions in the system which destroyed gland functioning for the creating of these fluids, by those activities that have been seen.

12. And, as these DO come about, we may expect to find periods when for days the body will be almost PERFECTLY normal. At other periods the activities of the body-mental (which will, of course, carry the influences to the physical) will be wandering, not knowing what to do with self, not knowing how to give response to that felt within self; and, as we have given, at such periods the body is NOT responsible. Those that are making the suggestions are the more responsible; for it is as a DEVELOPING of the mental abilities to coordinate with an active physical body that has already GROWN, and - hence - does not understand the impulses that arise!

13. Yet, as we have given, there may be brought about conditions wherein the body may be set to - and WILL - return to its MENTAL balance, and mental equilibrium.

14. It will be long (as time is counted by individuals), it will mean persistence, it will mean patience, it will mean keeping the mental balance in spiritual creative forces that

271-5 Page 3

are the BUILDERS for the body.

15. Then, in the suggestions that we would make when the body is sleeping, resting, there should be had those that will make for the better creative forces; for to reach the subconscious self it must be without that physical-mental self. See? Yet in the waking state, in the activity, there will be seen those reactions occasionally; at first possibly once a week, possibly once a day, possibly several times a day, dependent upon how persistent the suggestions are made WITH the active forces that are being set out in the system from the physical angle. See?

16. Change the suggestion, then, in this manner, or to this:

17. THERE WILL BE, IN THE WHOLE OF THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL BODY, THAT RESPONSE TO THAT CREATIVE ENERGY WHICH IS BEING CARRIED INTO THE SYSTEM. PERFECT COORDINATION WILL COME TO THE BODY. THERE WILL BE NORMAL REACTIONS IN EVERY WAY AND MANNER THROUGH THE CREATIVE FORCES OF DIVINE LOVE THAT IS MANIFEST IN THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF THOSE ABOUT THE BODY.

18. This should be repeated three to four times, until it has gradually reached the subconscious, or the unconscious, or the consciousness of the LIVING forces that are the impelling activity in a distorted condition, as to the balance in the mental forces of [271].

19. Then, in keeping the battery that is used (Radio-Active Appliance), keep the anodes in contact; and keep the reactions in all those ways and manners that have been outlined for same.

20. Well that there be reactions for the physical activity, or exercise in the open. Not too strenuous, to be sure; but there must be very CONSTRUCTIVE forces.

21. All suggestions about the body should be of a CONSTRUCTIVE nature; the love influence that comes from within every heart, mind and soul, that would build for CREATIVE forces without selfish motives in same.

22. Keep the diet in the order that there may be the proper reactions. It is necessary that there be the proper balance towards a rebuilding and replenishing, or a normally balanced diet. For each vegetable taken that is grown under the ground, there should be at least two or three of those that grow above the ground. Those of EVERY nature that may be constructive. Nuts are HARMFUL at times, but small QUANTITIES - especially the almonds - are good for the body. Not black walnuts, nor English walnuts. Pecans, almonds, filberts, and the like, are VERY good - in small quantities. Beef, properly prepared (but not with greases), may be taken occasionally; broiled (but, remember, not broiled in its own

271-5 Page 4

grease; preferably in oils of vegetables or the like, see?).

23. In this way and manner we will bring gradually the normal forces for this body.

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) Is there any way in which we may get this body to eat any form of fruit? (A) Gradually. Listen at just what has been given! The body assumes activities and acts by suggestion of everyone around the body! If all around the body eat fruit, the body will gradually eat fruit itself! Isn't that just what we have been saying?

26. (Q) Should I [L. J. Hesson] insist upon his getting up in the morning, or does it antagonize him? (A) As given, it is best that the body arise as soon as it awakes. Do not antagonize, but suggest! Do so yourself, and the body will get up too!
