1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Miss [275]. Now, we find there are conditions that have become distressing in the physical forces of the body. The cause, or seat of the trouble, as we find, has come from the accumulations in the system of those building fluids that have to do with the structural portion of the system. And in the leakage, this has reached that condition where, unless there are [corrective] forces brought about, it must of necessity - from the character of the condition - become the malignant type, or that wherein it feeds upon the vitality of the living organisms of the system.

2. In the first, then, we would give those beneficial conditions for the system. For we find not only is the vitality being depleted but the blood stream itself becomes stagnant in portions of the circulation. And the alterations in the lymph and the menses become the causes of distresses.

3. Then:

4. First we would begin with exterior applications of Mullein Stupes, or leaves, to those portions of the system where the distresses are shown in the excess of accumulations, both in the lumbar and limb. By the use of these reduce the inflammation and swelling superficially. Use these Mullein Stupes whenever the condition becomes distressing. After they have been used from one to three days, begin with the medicated [Carbon] Ash that will segregate same in the system, following it with a mild tea of Life Everlasting or Hydrastis 1240 [GD's note 5/19/60: The druggist thinks the number 1240 after Hydrastis refers to a page number in the catalog], and give this at least twice each day - the Carbon Ash one-quarter grain twice each day; applying the Infra Red Ray after the 6th or 7th day.

5. If the responses in the segregation will show or manifest themselves, then we may so start the drainage, by the manipulation [osteopathically] of centers, as to coordinate

the eliminations in system, as to be of aid and help to the body.

6. Do this. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Can the case be brought to a normal condition and perfect cure? (A) Depends entirely upon the response of the body, the awakening of that within the forces of the body itself, of the accumulated forces as may be brought by the mental forces, applied with those of material means for corrections. Then, with the segregation being set up, and with the prevention of the accumulations in the system, we may be able to bring about very gradually that which will be of help. For we may bring a much nearer normal reaction. For, as given at first, detrimental conditions have set in.

8. (Q) Has there been a necrosis* of the body? (A) There has been that accumulation of the fractures and from the conditions as set up from the using of tissue and of the serum of body. * [Necrosis - death of a cell or a group of cells which is in contact with living tissue. aseptic n., increasing sclerosis and cystic changes in the head of the femur which sometimes follow traumatic dislocation of the hip. A similar condition sometimes develops in the head of the humerus after shoulder dislocation.]

9. (Q) How long would this treatment take? (A) To find whether we will get results or not will take about eight to ten days.

10. (Q) Should the limb be passively exercised, or actively exercised? (A) Passively, until we begin some reactions, as has been given. Follow all of these, not just part.

11. (Q) Should this case be treated where it now is, or at a sanitarium? (A) Could not apply all of these where it is, under the circumstances; but, as we find, aid may be brought to it where the light may be brought to it.

12. (Q) Any further advice to the doctor in charge? (A) Do that as given. We are through for the present. Copy to Doctor in charge " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital
