This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 21st day of July, 1932, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [275], Active Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [275] - this we have had before.

2. Now, we find there are both satisfactory and unsatisfactory conditions in the physical forces of the body.

3. In considering the conditions in the present, there are many things to be taken into consideration.

4. There is the effect that may be had, is had, upon the body through the vibrations that are raised in the magnetic treatments. These, as we find, have been - and are - satisfactory in many ways. We would change a little in the manner in which the applications are made, and we will find these will have definite changes in the effects that will be produced in the body.

5. There is a change in the vibrations. Hence we are finding there are changes in the conditions in that portion of the body where the changes are taking place. Where the erosions have been in the bone structure itself, there have been some chrysalis formations that have been added. Now, with the changes, we will find that the effect of the vibrations in the magnetic forces will be better if the active forces are from the secondary cardiac to the the hip joint itself.

6. Sitting on the right side of the body when the application is made, we would apply the left hand to the secondary cardiac plexus area; that is, at the 4th and 5th dorsal center, more to the right side than to the left; and the right hand would be placed over those portions of the hip joint itself. This, to be sure, is a crossing of the body, but will be effective with the activities that come from same; and there should be carried that affirmation which has been given. The treatments should be from twenty-five to forty-five minutes during, preferably, each day.

7. As to the manipulations, we would also have these at least once a week - oftener if necessary. We would not have too much of the movements of the joint itself (in the hip joint), but rather that which supplies the blood and nerve energy TO that portion of the system. These, then, would come in the sacral, lumbar, and the upper cervical - or upper dorsal and cervical area. These, we find, will bring the bettered conditions for this body.

8. In the matter of the diet, we would keep these well balanced in that which makes for sufficient of the silicon and the alkalin, with sufficient for the structural building portions of the system, but do not overtax same.

9. Be sure the eliminations are kept in a normal state.

10. We would take sufficient exercise, but not overtaxing the system - until there is at least relief from the strains that are caused in the use of same at times.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) What causes pain in leg, especially in summer? (A) The natural change that comes from the periods, through the variation in the amount of elements that go to make up the activity of the system. These kept in a balance so that the circulatory system does not make for pressures in the areas, will be found to be relief to the body.

13. (Q) Give Dr. Cleveland of Binghamton explicit directions for osteopathic treatments. [Dr. Edward W. Cleveland, D.O. - of PCIO & CCO School] (A) These have just been outlined, that these are to be more specific in the lumbar and sacral area, with an according of same in the upper dorsal and cervical. Not to the hip joint itself, though - of course the limb may be massaged for the correct circulation through same.

14. (Q) Is Mother giving her best during healing treatment? (A) These, as we have said, are given very satisfactorily. Make these changes that have been suggested. We are reversing some of the conditions, to be sure. Sitting on the right side, apply the left hand over the 4th and 5th dorsal center, with the right hand over that portion of the hip which gives trouble or disorder, see?

15. (Q) How many ounces of spinach juice should body have per day? (A) During this specific season, when there are so many more activities outside, these may not be adhered to so strictly, but use more of the leafy vegetables that grow in the vicinity and about where the body resides, that make for the proper balancing of the iron and silicon in system, see? Any of these that grow on the farm would be well. As cabbage, and all its kindred. Beans, lentils, and the like.

Spinach we would take occasionally, but this may wear out in the effects with the system, especially when there's the necessity of resorting to the canned.

16. (Q) What can be done for eruption on face? (A) If the eliminations are kept more normal (which will be changed considerably by the change effected in the osteopathic treatments, change in the diet, change in the activities inside and out), these will disappear. These are the effects of disturbances in eliminations, and with these changes in the vibrations created, these will disappear. There should be occasionally used a weak solution of boracic acid, that will cleanse the face - even as a bath or sponge over with same, see?

17. (Q) How many ounces of other juices than spinach? (A) Balance that as for a regular diet. Rather as the demands of the system are for same, than that as would be measured or weighed out for the body. Especially through such seasons; for many are the changes - in the berries, fruits, and the like - that give a better balanced condition for the system, see?

18. (Q) What shampoo should be used for hair? (A) Any that carries sufficient of the olive oils, and especially those that are combined with the alcoholic content that carries the vaseline with same, see? These, as we find, are best prepared in the Black and White shampoos, see?

19. (Q) What oils should be used before and what tonic after washing? (A) Any of these of this series.

20. (Q) What is meant by PURE meat juices? [For my niece, [299]?] [299-2, Par. 11-A] (A) Taking the beef, mutton, liver, or the like, and heating same in a closed jar that draws the juices out of same, without adding water to same, see?

21. (Q) Describe water treatment after sun bathing? (A) Sun bathing will add to those vitamins necessary, or aids the body materially in this. The bathing after same is well for the body, in the pure water - either shower, or cold or tepid bath.

22. (Q) Why necessary? (A) These add or change the vibrations so that, that as materialized in the system acts with the vital forces of the body in the activity through same.

23. (Q) Should water be used on skin after ultra-violet lamp? (A) It's best not to, for some little time.

24. (Q) What quantity of pure meat juice should be taken at a time?

(A) Sufficient to retain the strength and vitality. This should be governed by the weakness, or the necessity of keeping a balance in the strength and vitality of the system. From two to four tablespoonsful a day, if weakened [for an adult] [GC inserted 24-Q, thinking she meant it for herself, [275].] - or, if necessary, these may be reduced to one or one and a half in a day. Tablespoonful of meat juice represents near about a pound of meat! The assimilations for the system, then, are governed according to same.
