... Hotel, Time of Reading Apt. ..., 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [279], who is in Apt. ... of the Hotel ..., ... St., New York City. You will answer the questions which this body has submitted concerning his health, after which you will answer his questions as to his mental and material affairs.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [279] - this we have had before; also those conditions as SURROUND the body, physically, mentally, and materially.
3. In the physical conditions of the body we find in many respects the body is very good. Those tendencies toward the over acidity of the system are a natural hindrance, in that they create the tendencies towards anemia.
4. That the activities of those things taken for cleansing and absorbing poisons in the system do not act as readily as formerly, is a result rather of mental worries, and of the system or body taking on properties that tend to make more acid in the gastric forces of the physical body.
5. We would keep those adjustments or treatments occasionally; two, three, four times each month should be sufficient, are [if] precautions [are] taken as respecting the diet.
6. At least once a month, oftener if necessary, we would have a thorough cleansing of the colon with the irrigations. Following such, after a short period of rest, we would have a thorough massage; not an osteopathic treatment, but a massage of the body, that - WITH the other properties and the diet, the whole of the internal and superficial or external circulation is enlivened by the massage, or masseuse, as will be given following a cleansing of the system.
7. In this manner will we keep the whole general system in a state of nominal or normal activity, thus bringing the whole system's action to a nearer normal functioning.
8. There needs be no worries of the body as respecting an
279-12 Page 2
over-activity in heart or digestive forces, provided these conditions are adhered to; nor should there be any worriment as respecting the blood supply becoming so deficient as to become alarming in any respect, will [if] the system respond - and it will, will [if] these be adhered to; but to over stimulate the digestive system by an over quantity of any properties - either in food or drink, that produces enough activity in a system that is tending towards acidity - then we may expect a response easily in a direction where TENDENCIES are already manifesting themselves.
9. Keep in the open, in the exercise as is consistent with the activities physical of the body. Keep the mental forces in that direction as is well known to the body, that emergencies or conditions of a nature that tend to make for discouragements have arisen, do arise, in the activities of the body, should make for STRENGTH; not for discouragement; remembering that he that is worthy of being tempted is worthy also of a crown. It is rather the non-entity, one that is as nil, that is as a mere spoke in a wheel, than the hub or the felloe [felly] - that is tried, and that as individuals use that they have in hand there is given an understanding of those things that will make for bigger, better, more worth while things in the life.
10. In the material affairs of the entity, as we find, for the present - and for the immediate needs - those associations or connections that are already established would be well for consideration, in the present, and there would be well, that while the abilities should not be DIVIDED too much, but that the associations with the refrigeration program should be considered also.
11. As for associations in hotel connections, this - as has been given is a matter, a condition, an experience, in which the entity must exercise ITS OWN prerogative; for with the will self being dominated by another, or another influence than self, self becomes rather the spoke that is turned about whithersoever the felloe, or the rim, would have that spoke go. Be rather one that uses all the abilities in a manner that will make for the exercising of self's abilities, self's talents, in its associations and connections.
12. As we find, will there be [if there will be] the immediate attempt of the body to work or exercise its associations, its connections, in these directions, there would come with the efforts those needs for the immediate emergencies in the financial status of the body. Be not afraid of self's abilities. Do not condemn self, neither pity self, for that that has ALREADY happened in the
279-12 Page 3
experience of self. Rather use those experiences, those associations, those connections, as stepping-stones for bigger, better, more satisfactory associations and connections; remembering ever, as has been given, to keep the heart right, keep the desire - even of the imaginative forces of the body - in the attune with those spiritual abilities that are of the entity's own understanding, in such a way that, "He that LOVES the Lord shall NOT want; neither shall HIS seed beg bread!"
13. Keep, then, not as one that would exalt self; rather he that would be the greatest, he would be the servant of all! Keep the heart singing. Keep the light BEFORE thee. FACE EVERY emergency, and the shadows and the doubts will fall farther and farther behind. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) Did the suggestion referred to as an association mean the Pittsburgh Chemical Co? (A) Those, as well as others. There are other propositions, as has been given. Keep self rather in the position, that self will be open for propositions in the spring, and in the times to come; yet making use in the present of those associations and those connections - see?
15. (Q) Shall I try to remain in the hotel business? (A) How would he remain in the hotel business and keep with these other associations? That, as has been given, must be from its OWN prerogative or desire. Take stock of self, of self's conditions, self's associations, self's surroundings, and face the issues - and without a flinch; knowing that, as ye do His bidding, so will it be shown thee from day to day the way to go.
16. We are through for the present.
