Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:10 P. M.

1. GC: You will have before you the Glad Helpers, members of which are present in this room. You will please give them counsel and guidance regarding their work and such information on healing as they may be ready to receive. You will answer their questions which will be asked.

2. EC: Yes, we have the group and those individuals as gathered here, and their work in assisting others.

3. In the present conditions, in association and connection with that being undertaken by the group, it would be well that each remember that which has been given respecting how each in their own way and manner may give out, through that way of concentration and in consecration of self and self's abilities in those directions in which they have been called.

4. For, though there may appear at times those conditions that are not understood for the moment, there is being exercised those influences that react in the lives, the hearts, the souls of those whom the group hold in their meditation from day to day.

5. And though there be periods when there appears to be the returning again of the individuals to that which would make for even those not understandable conditions in their experience, this should have only that effect of bringing to each that necessary element of understanding that in Him, to Him alone, are they keeping the way.

6. The results, the effects, the conditions brought about, must be from that as He sees fit in the lives of those any would aid in their endeavors.

7. (Q) The names of those we have on our prayer list, that I now hold in my hand, is there any special message for any individual on the list? (A) Only that there be kept that attitude of expectancy, in hopefulness. For, in patience will each come to know their place, their opportunity, their understanding.

8. (Q) Will the Forces please give four affirmations for patients to be used by them for meditation?

281-15 Page 2

(A) The first: CREATE WITHIN ME A PURE HEART, O GOD, AND RENEW A RIGHTEOUS SPIRIT WITHIN ME, THAT THY LOVE MAY BRING THAT THOU SEEST IS BEST FOR ME NOW. The second: LOVE, AS THOU LOVEST ME, MAY I SHED ABROAD TO ALL WHOM I CONTACT, THAT THY GOODNESS, THY MERCY, MAY ABIDE EVER WITH THEM. The third: IN THY RIGHTEOUSNESS, O FATHER, HAVE MERCY, HAVE PATIENCE WITH THOSE THAT SEEK TO KNOW THY WAYS, AND BLESS THEM AS THOU SEEST NOW. The fourth: KEEP ME IN THE WAY, O LORD, THAT WILL BRING HEALING, UNDERSTANDING, AND A RIGHTEOUS HEART IN ALL MY DAYS.

9. (Q) [560]: How may we avoid becoming rote in meditation and our daily lives? (A) By visualizing in such manners those meditations that are given out for others, for self; for in aiding others does one aid one's self most. And unless this is so visualized from without self, it becomes rote. But when made, set, or so experienced by the inner self as being an active, living principle within self, it ceases to become rote.

10. (Q) During meditation I have experienced a strong vibration - the whole body vibrating. Please explain. And have I been able to direct this current to those we are trying to aid? (A) As the vibrations are raised within self through this very visualization, this experiencing of there being those activities, the body - as everyone - is able to send, or direct, or create an environ - to such an one to whom the thought is directed - that is helpful, hopeful, beneficial in every way.

11. (Q) [69]: How can one that is suffering from disintegration of cells, commonly known as cancer, be quickly relieved of continuous pain? (A) There, to be sure, are many varied conditions that arise in and with such a disintegration. There may be created in such an experience (which, to be sure, becomes an individual condition) such vibrations that will allay, without injurious conditions to the mental abilities of the body. That means through that which is not either a hypnotic or a narcotic, but is such that the vitality of the conditions in the body are made more in accord with the vibration created by the disintegration. Or, as we have given, were the

condition able to be turned into constructive rather than allaying, it may be eliminated by that which has been termed or called niccolite. [See 4444-1, 2 and 2457-4.] For general conditions there is a combination which will relieve without depressing the mental abilities. Put in capsule as this: Oil of Eucalyptol..............1 minim, Codeine.....................1/80 grain, [1/8th? See 468-1 - cancer intestines case saying 1/8th grain.], Rectified Oil of Turp........1/2 minim, Oil of Pine..................1/2 minim. Take this once each day. It is neither a narcotic nor a hypnotic, even though the small quantity of sedative that is a narcotic compound is added. Its content is changed by the vibrations of those that carry an electrical vibration in the combinations of the oil of wood (pine), eucalyptol, and the like.

12. (Q) How can we make our thoughts more powerful that they may do the greatest good? (A) By the continuing of concentration on that as we find from our own experiencing of the blessings that come through keeping His laws, His will, and leaving the results with Him. Or, by faith in the power that is entrusted the activity of that thought.

13. (Q) Can the healing of those on our prayer list be quickened in any way? (A) Leave the results ever with Him, in their own good time, as He sees fit. For, they must develop step by step.

14. (Q) Shall I continue the treatment given me [in 69-3] on Jan. 14, 1933? (A) When necessary it is well to continue, until there is created sufficient resistance in the system to meet the physical needs of the body. Remember, only through natural building may resistance arise that is wholly constructive; and it requires the natural, normal replenishing and building, and the body-physical doesn't respond as quickly as before there were those advanced conditions of separations in a physical being.

15. (Q) What causes the spontaneous weeping of several of our group during the readings? Why are we not more joyous? (A) This may be termed as conviction of the attitudes of various individuals, in their response to that presented. The inability, as it were, for the joyous spirit to act, when it has associated a different environment for such

expression. Not that joyousness doesn't exist. Finding its expression or seeing its activity, as it were, is different. Yet the joyousness is eminent [imminent] in those who are thus acted upon, impressed or touched.

16. (Q) [993]: Please explain the experience I had several weeks ago, in a dream. I seemed to be passing through various experiences. Someone pierced a needle in my forehead, then there seemed to be darkness all round me. I began crying out, "My God, my God, where art thou?" (A) This is the body-consciousness experience (mentally and physically) of that through which the Master passed in the hour of trial on the Cross, and is a mental experience of the body or entity, or soul body, that is developing to those powers of the better ability for dissemination of the glory, the truth, the joy, the understanding that came with those experiences that are for the awakening to the greater abilities in anyone.

17. (Q) Please explain the meaning of the word Virgi, meaning service, a new name that came to me during meditation and has remained so vivid with me. (A) As is considered, and as has oft been given to all who arise, as it were, to walk in the newness of the life forces in the giving out, the disseminating, the experiencing in active service of those when changes had come with a new name, and as there is that power in the voicing and combining of the various intonations, incantations, that as for self, then, this carries that ability to change almost immediately in the vibrations within self by the voicing to self of the name given. So, in applying or using, or keeping the valuations of that experience - this not as test, but rather as the knowledge that this brings with it the values by the use of same when there is the need or necessity for so doing. [GD's memo: Forever after in referring to a prayer vigil [993] mispronounced it Vergil. Any connection?]

18. (Q) [295]: Please explain the recent experiences in which I feel the effects similar to those of an osteopathic treatment, during which the body twitches and vibrates often at a very high rate of speed. (A) Rather the experience of raising those particular centers in the various portions of the body, at such periods, to the ability of aiding others in the forces that are sent, held or expended by self during such periods of meditation. And as this, then, is an aid to self as well as to those to whom it may be directed, visualize same being transmitted,

281-15 Page 5

and those centers, those portions in the individuals so acted upon. Not in the manner of the activity being held above that which is causing or producing the activity, for that would be as of self-glorification. Let the glory, the power, come from Him.

19. (Q) [341]: Is there a message for me? (A) Keep the faith, that the powers of dissemination may AGAIN be made PHYSICALLY manifest, in the word and in the meditation.

20. (Q) [288]: Is there a message for me? [See 288-36.] (A) Keep in that way that makes for the better, the safer, the saner abilities, both from the mental reasoning and through spiritual dissemination. This aids self, creates better environs, makes for a closer attunement in all contacts made in thought and meditation.

21. (Q) Please give a prayer for those who have passed on. (A) FATHER, IN THY LOVE, THY MERCY, BE THOU NEAR THOSE WHO ARE IN - AND HAVE RECENTLY ENTERED - THE BORDERLAND. MAY I AID, WHEN THOU SEEST THAT THOU CANST USE ME.

22. (Q) Is there a message for the group as a whole at this time? (A) Be not weary in well-doing. Faint not that there are no unusual happenings or experiences at the present. Rather know that in His own time will the glories, and the peace that comes from service, be made known from the sources that are of the greater service to Him.

23. We are through for the present.
