Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:30 P. M.
1. GC: You will have before you members of the Glad Helpers, present in this room, who seek advice, counsel and guidance as to their work. You will answer the questions which will be asked.
2. EC: Yes, we have the work of the Glad Helpers and the members present in this room.
3. In the work in which these are engaged, there is a great deal more good being accomplished than is usually seen. Well, however, that they do not parade the good accomplished. Let this speak rather in the hearts and the lives of those that the group would aid.
4. All will find, as they contribute of themselves in doing a service for their fellow man, that harmony and peace - which comes from the spirit of truth, and life, as they manifest same in their own lives will be magnified in their activities; bringing joy.
5. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Should there be any change in, or addition to, the cooperative blanks now being used (copies of which I hold in my hand), that would be helpful to those receiving them? (A) These, as we find, are very satisfactory in the present.
7. (Q) Please give five affirmations for patients to be used by them? (A) First: CREATE IN ME A RIGHTEOUS SPIRIT, A CORRECT UNDERSTANDING, O LORD. AID THOU ME IN MEETING THAT THOU SEEST IS BEST FOR ME THROUGH THE MANNER OF LIFE I HAVE LIVED, RENEWING A RIGHT SPIRIT IN ME, CREATING A NEW HEART AND PURPOSE IN ME. Second: AS THOU, O LORD, ART THE GIVER OF LIFE, OF HEALTH, MAKE ME WHOLE THROUGH THE PROMISES WE CLAIM IN JESUS, THY SON. Third: AS THE DAY AND THE NIGHT SHOWTH FORTH IN MANIFESTED FORMS THE GLORY OF THE FATHER, SO MAY THERE BE MADE MANIFEST IN ME NOW, THROUGH THE HELP I SEEK THROUGH THE CHRIST, MY

ELDER BROTHER AND MY LORD. Next: CREATE IN ME THAT PURPOSE THAT WILL RENEW THE RIGHT SPIRIT WITHIN ME, BRINGING THAT THOU SEEST IS BEST FOR ME JUST NOW. Next: LIFE, LOVE AND GLORY ARE THINE, O LORD. LET THESE BE MANIFESTED IN MY LIFE AS THOU SEEST I HAVE NEED OF.
8. (Q) [560]: As secretary, may I have a message that may be helpful as well as stimulating to me? (A) As is given in the service in the capacity of secretary, so is there being builded in the souls and the hearts of those that the group would aid. The coming of the aid gives glory, that is often spoken of as "These make for stars in the crown of those that love His coming." Glory in the aid that comes through the love of the Father through the Son to man in all walks of life. Keep the heart singing as ye go about the service for those that seek through thy prayer, thy help, thy counsel; for, glory is of the Lord.
9. (Q) What is signified by the eye which I saw in meditation, a light being in the center; also by the formation of lights that are frequently grouped together and then disappear? (A) As has always been given, the eye is as the singleness of purpose; or the oneness of the love of the Father to the sons of men. The lights, the colors, represent the radiation of life and light. Then, when one considers that life in its essence is of the ONE source of power, love, grace, mercy, hope, understanding, one sees that there is being given that which not only sustains but that which revives in the sustaining of that the body would do in its service to its fellow man.
10. (Q) [69]: Is it right to try to heal others when one has failed to accomplish healing in one's own life? (A) Healing others is healing self. For, to give out that which aids others in reaching that which creates the perfect vibration of life in their physical selves, through the mental attitudes and aptitudes of the body, brings to self better understanding. Yes, in healing others one heals self.

11. (Q) Should one meditate when not in a good physical condition? (A) As we have given on prayer and meditation, when one can separate self sufficiently to be able to meditate PROPERLY, it is helpful. When one cannot, best not to attempt it.
12. (Q) Why haven't I overcome certain conditions? (A) Oft is a thorn left in the flesh to tempt, yea, to keep one aright. When one acquires the development to meet, or when one raises self to meeting all that is open, then self is healed also.
13. (Q) [993]: Please give me more light on just what occurred while I was holding a healing meditation for my sister, Mrs. Sarah H. [...], in her home last June. (A) A perfect attunement to love and life (they are one) in the meditation. The experiences of such are one's own, that may be hard to be understood by another; but upon which the heart and soul may feed for renewing of life and love in self.
14. (Q) Just what should be the attitude of one who is holding the meditation, when the one who is being helped goes into a sleep and is hard to arouse? Should one be allowed to sleep, or be aroused after the meditation? (A) Sleep, as we have given, is that state (physical, mental, spiritual) where the soul, the entity, the mental body, may be the more easily approached without fear of producing fear, or any influence that may be other than that in which the greater help may come to an individual. Hence, it is well for a body to meditate when the patient is in such a condition from the physical standpoint. It is well, after the meditation - if the experiences are carried together - that the arousing to a physical consciousness be complete.
15. (Q) Please explain the difference between ways in which healing may be received; one in which the pain gradually leaves, and the other as if the pain is being drawn from the body by a vacuum. (A) Dependent upon the individual development of the one upon whom the application is made. It is much in the same manner as the cleansing of cloth of various textures; or the application of cleansing agents to elements that produce stains or spots upon another element. This, then, is the difference: The attunement of the individual upon whom the application is made.
16. (Q) [295]: Should one hold a healing meditation for others when mentally disturbed?
281-18 Page 4
(A) Oft has it been given as to what may be accomplished. If self is not in an at-onement with the source of power or life or health, best that self in the mental plane set self aright; for, remember, the mental IS the builder whether in the physical or the spiritual forces in their application. True, in meditation for others and for self may one oft find relief for disturbance; but best - when the disturbance is from an incident in the experience as of association with another - to make all aright before meditation.
17. (Q) Could I have a message? (A) Keep in the way that has been opened to thee, in being a channel of blessings to many through the attunement of self in such a manner as to bring the at-oneness with the material and spiritual forces in life.
18. (Q) [69]: Please give a remedy for constipation. (A) The use of those elements in the diet that will create a balance in the activity of the forces that prevent the activity of the muscular forces through the system. A remedy will be found in those properties and manners that we have outlined, if they are consistently and persistently applied in a way as to enable the muscular forces (physical) to receive their impulse through the activity created by the elements that are at-one with the forces in the system. [See 69-3.] Cathartics are seldom necessary, save those that are a stimulus to the muscular forces of the physical body; as olive oil, Russian White Oil, or those that act with the lymph of the circulation. Use these, rather.
19. (Q) Is there a message for the group as a whole at this time? (A) Be not impatient with many that seek and oft appear indigent in their response or activity toward that sought; yet doing all in decency and order. For, the application of self in unity of love, hope, faith, desire to be a channel of blessings, helps self as much as - or more than - those whom the group would aid.
20. That is all the questions.
21. We are through for the present.
