Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:25 P. M.

1. GC: You will have before you the Glad Helpers, members of which are gathered here, and their work of seeking to aid others through meditation and prayer. You will give such guidance as they need in carrying forward their work and answer the questions which will be submitted.

2. EC: We have the group as gathered here, as a group of glad helpers, and therein seeking to aid others. First, we would give, not as that of self-praise - but let each know: As good has been accomplished in the lives and the experiences of those they have sought to help, this should be to each as a verification of the promises that have been given, "As ye ask in my name, believing, that shall be accomplished in the experiences of those that seek to know my face."

3. In the work, then, let each thing be done in order, and keeping that humbleness of spirit, that oneness of purpose, that desire to see in those that seek through such channels the glorifying of the consciousness of the Christ-Spirit dwelling with each.

4. Let each, then, be not slothful in the activities; not negligent, but rather let each be up and doing, with a mind to serve in whatsoever channel or manner the opportunity presents itself; knowing that as ye have been chosen and as ye choose to magnify His name in the earth, this choice of thyself gives with same a greater opportunity of service, that the choice that thou art chosen of Him to be a light in His name carries with it those obligations in self, that thou will be true to the trust, to the service, to those activities that become one that would be a glad helper in His name. For His promises are sure, and He will keep thee and guide thee aright. He will sustain in those periods when doubts and fears and turmoils arise. Take Him, then, with thee in all of thy goings in and thine coming outs. In joy, in sorrow, in pain, in delights, let self find that He

281-22 Page 2

is with thee and enjoins thee, "Inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of these, ye do it unto me." When saw we Thee imprisoned? When saw we Thee ahungered? When saw we Thee naked and clothed Thee? "Inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of MY BRETHREN," of those souls that are a magnifying of the God-Force in the earth, ye do it unto Him that stands at the right hand of the Father to make intercession for thee in thy supplications, in thy activities. Be not high-minded, but rather condescending to those of low estate. For they that look on the things of the earth that are earthy, or look for power or position or fame or fortune for themselves, will find these turn and cause moth and rust and those things that make one afraid. Then let thy supplication be, day by day:

5. AS THOU HAST CHOSEN ME, O FATHER, LET THY LIGHT, THY WORD, BE A CONSTANT GUIDE BEFORE ME DAY BY DAY. Let the prayer, the supplication of thy service day by day in behalf of those that have faltered or have found life's pathway hard, come in the name of Him that said, "I go TO the Father, that ye, abiding in me, may abide in the Father also." IN HIS NAME DO WE SEEK THE HELP, THE STRENGTH, THE NECESSARY INFLUENCES AND FORCES IN THE LIVES OF THOSE WE PRAY FOR - AND PRAY WITH.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Please give six affirmations to be sent to those on our prayer list. (A) The first: THE FATHER THAT WORKETH IN ME SUPPLIETH THE NEEDS OF THE BODY, OF THE MIND, OF THE SOUL, EVEN AS I WORK HIS WAYS! The second: FATHER, LET THY LOVE, THY MERCY, THY TRUTH IN THE CHRIST SUSTAIN ME AND KEEP ME IN THE WAY I SHOULD GO! The third: THROUGH THE LOVE THOU HAST PROMISED IN THE SAVIOR, THE CHRIST, I CLAIM - O FATHER - THOSE PROMISES IN HIM FOR HEALTH, FOR STRENGTH FOR THE DAILY NEEDS IN THIS MATERIAL WORLD. The fourth: AS I, O GOD, FORGIVE THOSE THAT TRESPASS AGAINST ME, WILT THOU FORGIVE THOSE THAT DO ERR AGAINST THEE AND AGAINST ME, GIVING THEM LIFE AND HOPE AND FAITH! The fifth: AS HEALTH AND STRENGTH AND SUSTENANCE FLOWS THROUGH ME IN THE EFFORTS TO BE ONE WITH THE FATHER, MAY IT SUPPLY EVERY NEED JUST NOW! The sixth: LET THY WAYS, O FATHER, BE MY WAYS! LET THAT

281-22 Page 3

WHICH THOU SEEST IS BEST IN MY EXPERIENCE BE MINE. KEEP ME, O GOD, HUMBLE! The seventh: AS THE FATHER WORKETH IN ME, SO MAY I ALSO WORK TO BRING HEALTH, STRENGTH AND MIGHT TO MY FELLOW MAN! The eighth: AS THE PROMISES IN THE CHRIST ARE SURE, SO MAY THOSE NEEDS FOR MY BODY, FOR MY MIND, FOR MY SOUL, BE SAFE AND SURE IN HIM!

8. (Q) How may we best help the Glad Helpers [Prayer Groups] that are being formed in other cities? Please give information at this time in regard to same. (A) Each in those groups that are being formed should be a part, yet work and aid even as each finds that to do, that may assist each, that may bring aid and help to others. AS a unit, as a whole. Supply them, then, that as may be helpful - or that has been helpful in thine OWN experience. As to the manner, the means, the aiding, let them work even as their hands find to do. For many minds and many opportunities, and many experiences, bring many conditions in the lives of all. But let all be done in decency, in order; and not as mind-service or as self-glory, but as in oneness of purpose to bring the glory of the Father into the experiences of all.

9. (Q) Should there be lessons formed for healing? If so, who would be best fitted for this particular work and how should we go about same? (A) If it seems well to any individual in this, that or the other group to offer that which they as individuals have found to be helpful in their service to their fellow man, pass it on. Rather than lessons, let there be more and more the CONCERTED effort for a unified period of prayer. [See 281-22, Par. R2.]

10. (Q) Would appreciate information whereby we could obtain music to which the words of the 91st Psalm could be sung. (A) Write it! Plenty of you are capable of it!

11. (Q) Who is capable of doing this? (A) ANY!

12. (Q) Will you give a Christmas Message to be sent to those on the prayer list? (A) Dearly Beloved: As the Season of Joy comes, that came to the world through the gift of the Child, the Christ, to the world, may we - as those that have such as our purpose - give to thee that blessing which comes to all that seek to be a channel of blessings to others!

13. (Q) [560]: As regarding my work as secretary to the Glad Helpers, would appreciate counsel regarding same.

281-22 Page 4

(A) Thou hast done well! Be not over-anxious, but let the spirit of service guide thee in the service thou hast rendered, and do render, to thy fellow man. For, he that serves another with a singleness of purpose, of glory to the Father, LENDETH unto the Lord.

14. (Q) [993]: Would appreciate guidance at this time regarding healing group and how I may best improve same. (A) Let thy self be lost wholly in that thou givest of thy time, of thy self, of thy mind, in thy service to thy fellow man. Be patient; be kind; be gentle; be forgiving, even to those who in their ignorance speak unkind. For, remember, how they buffeted thy Lord! Let thy watchword be: "Through the power of the Christ in me, I can - and WILL - do that He would have me do! Trusting only in Him I will press on - ON - to the mark of the calling whereunto He has called, and does call me."

15. (Q) [540]: On Sept. 13th, after reading a letter that I had received from an individual on the prayer list, in thinking about this person, I saw many lights flashing around my head. Please tell me the meaning of this. (A) As to each individual there are those symbols that present to the consciousness the activities of the spiritual influences in the material and individual life, so are those experiences in THY OWN self. Not as to what others have set that this or that means, or imports, but as the light is to thee that strength, that sureness of purpose that comes in knowing that through the light HIS presence abides with thee, so was it shown thee through the spirit of truth that thou CAN be - and ARE - a help to others - IN His name!

16. (Q) [585]: Do I hold my healing meditations correctly? (A) Who should judge as to whether one or another holds correctly? Does there come that answer within that thy meditation, thy prayer, is raising within thee that answer as thou would have go to those whom thou wouldst help? Then know that these are correct, when that answer comes. If these do not always answer, meet thy Lord within. Let Him, in the still, small voice from within, guide thee. For, He is not far from thee. Thou only needest to open the door of thy consciousness, that He may enter in.

17. (Q) General question: Why are we coming in contact with so many youthful mental collapses? (A) These conditions, as we have pointed out in those things given through these channels, are from there again and again entering this sphere of activity those that have wandered far afield. As an individual or a group, by the natural law of attraction, sets self, chooses to be a channel that may aid others, it attracts, it draws those

281-22 Page 5

that NEED that which may be given through such a channel. Hence the SEEMING knowledge that there is more apparent the breaking down of those in those years when there should be the strengthening for the work, the service to be done. Thou art opening the gate! Be ready with the answer. For, His promise has been, "Take no thought (if ye abide in me) when that hour comes; for it will be GIVEN thee what thou shouldst answer them." For, ye have been CHOSEN from the foundations of the world for a service to thy fellow man, in and through Him that MADE the world. Be faithful, then. Be not unmindful of that thou may bring to pass - the GLORY of the Christ in the lives of those that are seeking - seeking!

18. (Q) Any general guidance for the group? (A) That which has been given oft, heed ye. Let each individual study (not for his brother, but for himself) to show thyself approved unto God, that is WITHIN thee; rightly divining [dividing II Tim. 2:15] the words of truth, keeping self unspotted from the world. And as much as it lieth WITHIN thee, through the grace of God the Father, live peaceably; doubting not. For that which confronts thee is THY job, THY place, THY activity FILL that place THOU hast in thine own surroundings! Not what others would do in greener fields, or in surroundings more materially pleasant, but make that which is about thee SHINE with the love of the Christ that gave Himself - that was abused by His own, yet gave Himself, His life, His body, that others might have an access to the Father.

19. We are through.
