1. EC: Yes, we have the body [285], and those conditions that disturb the general physical forces of the body.
2. Now, as we find, these are rather the complicated conditions, and complications are shown in the various manners that disturbances in the physical are exhibited or manifested in the general physical functioning.
3. For, as indicated, when there is apparently that beneficial to one portion of the system, the effects or disorders seem accentuated in other portions.
4. At present these do not prevent the activities, or cause any let-up in abilities in many directions; yet eventually, unless measures are taken for correction, these must bring detrimental conditions, and a long-lasting condition that would be hard to cope with.
5. However, if measures are taken in the present to get to the basis or to the first causes, and a general resuscitation begun, these would - in their varied forms - disappear.
6. For the effects are seen in a general debilitation, with specific conditions ranging about in portions of the system, through the disturbances in the circulation and the inability of the body under the existent conditions to create effective reactions as to eliminate the causes.
7. Hence we have not only the affectation to the digestive system, and a general nervous condition with resultant irritability to the mental and physical activities, but those reactions in the exterior portions - or those abrasions that occur at various times on different portions of the body, the effect to the organs themselves in the distribution of the circulation, and the general debilitation; though the body works often on the sheer nerve energies of the body.
285-1 Page 2
8. Then, the reactions are necessary for producing or bringing about coordinations within the functioning organs in various portions of the system. While extreme measures will not be necessary in the activities for bringing such about, there will be required persistence and consistent activity on the part of the body itself.
9. There are many disorders in the assimilating system, and in the blood stream itself, from overtaxation mentally and physically, until there is a breaking down of the plasms in the functioning of many glands that bring about activities for portions of the system's ability to assimilate or to bring resuscitations. And hence make for those conditions of a general nervous, trembly condition throughout many portions of the body; the hot and cold sensations, the tendency for a depletion in circulation in various portions, when dizziness, uneasiness, anxiety and then irritations follow.
10. These, as we find, are as general conditions, but are making for those specific disorders that we find occurring from time to time.
11. Then, in meeting these conditions, or in bringing about for the body that which would make for better coordination, and for the ability of the system to build stamina and resistance, and to overcome the general forces, there should be almost a complete rest of the physical and mental activities of the body, in some place where there may be rather the wholesome diet that will make for a balancing of conditions in system, that may be kept close watch upon that the eliminations are kept more in accord, and that there are not those tendencies for portions of the system to be under the strain that exists at times when there are the eliminations from the system as related to the general eliminations through the alimentary canal. So that the disturbances in the hepatic circulation, in the kidneys, in the activities of the body, are more in order; that there is shown better coordinations in the general system.
12. During such a rest period there should be added such low forms of electrical vibrations as may be had through the Radio-Active Appliance, as to cause rest from the general nerve strain and overcoming those tendencies of inactivity in coordinating forces, also the insomnia that comes at times to disturb the general effectiveness of sleep and rest upon the body. These applications should be made as the body rests in the afternoon, and when ready to retire in the evenings.
13. We would also take those properties that may be combined to act as a sedative upon the system, but that do not
285-1 Page 3
produce any form of habit or require that the stimuli or the relaxation of portions of the system be continued to be increased for their effectiveness in the system. Such would be compounded in this manner:
14. To 4 ounces of simple syrup, in which there is put 1 ounce of Lactated Pepsin (making 5 ounces in all), add: Tincture of Valerian......................1/2 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya........................1/2 ounce, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium..........30 minims, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium...........10 minims. Tincture of Stillingia.....................40 minims, Tincture of Capsici.........................5 minims.
15. The dose would be a teaspoonful in a little water three times each day, after the meals; and when there are the periods of the greater disturbances an extra quantity may be taken.
16. The diet should be well-balanced and wholesome, tending toward greater alkalinity in system and greater tendency towards easier eliminations. Hence, quantities of meat of any character should be eliminated; but fish, fowl or lamb may be taken in moderation at one of the meals during the day.
17. As to the general activities, there should be sufficient exercise in the open for the body of an evening and morning to be somewhat physically tired; as walking - out in the open - and exercises using the general activities of the body.
18. It would be well, too each evening, just before retiring, that there be a general massage either by the hand or by the electrically driven vibrator, that brings the circulation to the centers along the whole cerebrospinal system; using, then, the cup applicator, direct to all portions of the centers in the body.
19. Do this, as we would find, and in three to five weeks we will find a different condition and more near normal reactions for this body, [285].
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) For how long a period should the body rest? (A) Three to five weeks would make the better conditions for the body. Each day's rest should be for thirty minutes to one hour, during the day, see?
22. (Q) Where would be the best place for the body to go for this rest and treatment? (A) Wherever it is quiet, and where there is access to those activities that may keep the body in the open; where there will be pleasant surroundings, or companionship that
285-1 Page 4
will make for general relaxations of the body. Do that. We will find many of those things that appear to be in the present as specifics, or as centralizing, will disappear; for the general reactions need to be from the abilities of the body to assimilate those proper elements in the hormones of the blood supply itself, to create the proper functionings through the glands of the system, that may resuscitate the nerve and general reactions of the organs of the body, and many of these things that have been called disorders will disappear - both in the blood stream and in specific functioning of the body.
