1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will also answer any questions relative to this body that I will ask you.
2. EC: Now, we find the conditions in the body different from those as we have had here before. The greater portion of system is in better physical condition. While we find some abnormal disturbances through portions of the body, where we have had trouble before, yet these, we see, are better than when we had this before.
3. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [287], we are speaking of. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find in great deal better condition than in times back, yet there is still in portions of the eliminations conditions that are not eliminated through proper channels. Hence the condition as exists in the system. Rather from the improper coordination in circulation at present time than from disturbance in the circulation, or blood supply proper. Hence there are portions in the system disturbed by these conditions, as we shall see.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this very good.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.
7. Through the organs of the sensory system, these are much better in many respects than when we had these at some times back, especially in the circulation to eyes. Wherein the circulation is defective at the present time, along the Eustachian tube in the sensory system. Hence the condition that has gradually builded in the system in the disturbance to the ear proper. This, especially, as we see, in the Corti [cochlea], and the inner ear. This is caused by the filling in of the Eustachian tube. Hence the pressure, or ringing disturbance at times in ear.
8. This same condition also in the circulation produced in
287-4 Page 2
the throat and in the upper portion of the throat the tendency for the body to clear the throat, or producing tickling sensation at times in the epiglottis.
9. In the circulation in the upper portion, this we find deflective on account of the equalization in the blood supply, through the taxing of centers supplying the portions of that part of body wherein the disturbance occurs. Hence we find this in the 1st, 2nd and 4th cervical at present.
10. In the bronchials and larynx we find at times this same depression as was produced from the condition in times back, wherein, with the dormant condition of the circulation in rest, the body becoming equalized in circulation in other portions of body, when body begins to draw in the breath, or exercise upper portions of body, with this lower portion of lung taking in the air.
11. This irritation is again produced along the bronchial making the depression in and about the upper ganglion of the bronchials. This irritation produced by the improper coordination in blood supply to those portions of system, a deflection again from 4th cervical to the branch connecting with the sympathetics of the secondary cardiac plexus. Hence with the deep breath, the irritation seems depressing.
12. In the heart's action, very good.
13. In the lung's action, only abnormal in the effect produced by the taxation in the secondary cardiac plexus.
14. In the digestive tract very good, except with an overtaxing there comes the irritation of the nerve system that is produced through the sympathetic system.
15. Through the hypogastrics, these we find show this reaction of the sympathetic system.
16. Then, to bring the normal conditions again for this body, we would, through manipulation, osteopathically given, correct that condition along the Eustachian tubes, for the condition in ear and for the condition about the bronchials and thyroid region, and in the 2nd dorsal. This, we see, will allow the stimulation necessary for equalizing the circulation, and bringing about the proper eliminations in their proper channels.
17. Medicinal properties not be taken in system, unless this was not done. Then it would be necessary to give a stimulant of a different character.
18. Do this through the osteopathic treatments, and we will bring the proper conditions to this body, [287], present in this room.
19. (Q) What causes the itching of the toes? (A) Improper circulation to the lower portion of the body, a great deal of the condition from nervous reflex rather
287-4 Page 3
than from an existent condition troubling same. We would find, with this equalization, this trouble would also disappear, or we may use very small quantities of Sulphur in shoe. To equalize circulation, however, by the manipulation, would remove the irritation - nerve reflex, or sympathetic.
20. (Q) What is the blood pressure of this body? (A) One Fifty-Eight (158). Near normal for this body, under the existent condition.
21. We are through for the present.
