Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Soul body and enquiring mind, in regard to the proper understanding and meeting of the apparent problems which confront her at this time. If it is in accordance with divine will, you will help her to understand herself in relation to the influences that arise. You will answer the questions that may be asked, concerning the welfare of all concerned.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, the soul-mind, [288], ..., Va.
2. In analyzing the problems, or confusions, that confront the body in the present, we find there is not always the proper or the correct perspective taken in relation to that which is of the desires of the body and the desires of the soul. Hence confusions arise in the manifested experiences of the body and soul-mind. They each, as has oft been given, must be judged from their OWN sphere of activity. While the physical and the spiritual should each have their inception from the same source and work towards a universal or spiritual source of ending, to judge that which is of the spiritual by the material - save as a shadow or as an EXAMPLE - is to make confusion for self.
3. But this may be understood if the entity, the soul, as has been given in Desire, spiritualizes the desire; or as given, "I of myself cannot bear the burdens alone, but make of my mind, my body, a channel through the power of the Creative Energy in Christ Jesus, as a CHANNEL for His service. Not as my will, but as the desire of the will of the Father concerning myself." Then rest, and hear the voice as from within.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Is it best for me to assume an impersonal attitude toward all material conditions around me (as it was told me in regard to the Cayce Hospital), [See 294-53, Par. 5-A, 8-A; also 294-54, Par. 5-A, 9-A] or should I take definite stands? (A) In the light of that just given, judge ye. For when

definite stands of a material way conflict with definite stands of other individuals in THEIR material way, conflicts ensue. But let thy desires, thy purposes, thy aims, be as one with that which is shown thee through the meditations from within. For to all: Ye may meet thy Maker in thine own self. Hence it is necessary that what we hate in ourselves or our associates BECOME that we see in the experiences of life, which will make for each an understanding. For resentments of any nature bring their fruit in the physical. Not that there should be wholly that of passive resistance, but: THY WILL, O LORD, BE DONE IN AND THROUGH ME AS THOU SEEST I HAVE NEED OF FOR MY SOUL DEVELOPMENT, AND THAT I MAY THROUGH THIS DEVELOPMENT BE THE GREATER CHANNEL OF BLESSING TO MY FELLOW MAN.
6. (Q) Regardless of outward appearances, should I have faith and KNOW that from the spiritual angle all is being worked out? (A) Thou either believest that the Christ, God IN thee is able to keep that He has promised, or thou doubtest; for He HAS not willed that ANY should perish, but has prepared a way of understanding to all that seek and are WILLING - through faith, through patience - to trust in Him.
7. (Q) Why do I feel such a responsibility in regard to the material conditions, when there is apparently so little I can do about them? (A) That which has been warned regarding thine inner urge, ego or self-analysis. The submerging of self becomes necessary for the beauty of life to every soul. DARE to be THYSELF in HIS name, and as He directs - not of self nor for others; for, as has been given, by taking thought of self or self's responsibilities is but to exalt self rather than relying upon Him.
8. (Q) Since I so often get upset and undecided when I dwell upon outward appearances around me, should I ignore them? (A) "MAN looketh on the outward appearances, God looketh on the heart." Then, look rather within and judge with Him as to what CAUSES that judgement of thine upon outward appearances. And as the Christ oft gave, study thyself - and be strong in His might, for He hath not left thee comfortless. As MANY as trust in Him see, find, know, the way.
9. (Q) How can I hold to the spiritual ideal and make all material conditions fall into their proper place? (A) Disregarding the material conditions, let the spiritual be the guide - the MATERIAL will take their place.
288-37 Page 3
For, as has been given, take no thought of the morrow or of the material things, for of such things do the unbelievers seek; but if ye will seek the Lord while He is nigh, all these things will be added unto thee in their proper time and place.
10. (Q) Is it possible at this time, and best, for me to know the basis of such material manifestations? or is it best that I not try to reason things out? (A) Reason as with the inner self, as thou meetest Him within thine OWN consciousness, and He - thy Christ, thy Lord, thy God - will point the way out to thee in very definite, decided ways and manners in the mental, the spiritual and MATERIAL ways.
11. (Q) In regard to the Ass'n work, in just what departments and in what manner can or should I attempt to further it? (A) Do with thy might what thy hands find to do, leaving the results and the increase in the hands of Him who MUST give the increase. What may self do, lest thou be in accord with Him? for as given, if ye be WITH God and His righteousness, WHO can be against thee? But if ye go about to present thine own self, how can GOD be with thee? Love righteousness, eschew evil. Look upon every experience as a necessary element in thine OWN development, knowing He will guide thee; for He clotheth the fowls of the air, the lilies of the field - He is mindful ESPECIALLY of those that love His ways.
