1. GC: You will have before you the entity, [288], who seeks information, advice and guidance as to whether or not it is advisable to proceed with her plans to build a house on Lot G, ... Beach, Va., considering all conditions, surroundings and outlook for herself and those concerned. You will answer the questions she submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: As we find, in considering such undertakings at the present time, many things and conditions are to be taken into consideration.
3. From the present outlook and present conditions, questions might arise - but as we find it would be advisable to consider such at this time, if it is to be a practical consideration and agreement among those concerned as to the outlook or the welfare, so that all would be satisfied.
4. For, such would be and will prove, from the material angle, to be an investment - unless it is usually put off and off and off and little accomplished. But once it is begun, it should prove an investment.
5. It would be well to continue consideration, then, as we find.
6. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) Would I be able to make this a home for myself and those dear to me [[1187], [391], [641], [2111], [1208], [1635]], as I have so long desired to do; that is, would it be wise or foolish to attempt it at this time? (A) As just indicated, unless attempted it will still be in that of a desire and never attempted to be accomplished. To be sure, there may be problems arising, but it CAN be made a home, if all - as indicated - are agreeable to the circumstance and conditions.
8. (Q) Should I proceed with the plans, a copy of which I hold in my hand, or just what changes would you suggest? (A) As we find, the plans as outlined here are very well and may be made to fill those requirements for the

conditions and the desires for all.
9. (Q) Would it be possible for me to keep up a $40 to $45 a month payment over a period of years, or should I cut down on the price of the house so as to make the payments smaller? (A) As indicated, unless it is of sufficient capacity to have sufficient returns, then payments could not be made. To cut it down so it would only be crowded, it would make it less applicable to meet the needs and would soon bring dissatisfaction to others.
10. (Q) What type of heat should I have: hot air, hot water, or the furniture type? (A) This must be decided in self, not from here; but have it so it may be heated and NOT partially so.
11. (Q) Should I concentrate on making the home pay by taking in various members of my family, or by keeping rooms free to rent to outsiders? (A) This, again, must be a choice. The ideal is a home for the loved ones, as asked for. If these conditions are agreeable, then make such rooms as to make it livable and a home for such; and still there may be room for others to assist in the payment, if this is desirable.
12. (Q) Is the attic room, which I have contemplated, advisable? (A) Don't leave it out! Why lose space that may be made available, or a contribution to the care of all, with a small investment in the beginning!
