Time of Reading 11:20 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [289]; this we have had before.
2. Here we find it might be rightly said, "We told you so." That is, if there had been the adherence completely or fully, we find that there would not have been this breaking up and this lack of resistance to meet the disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body.
3. Hence, as we find, in meeting the immediate needs, there will be little consideration as a whole of that which we have heretofore indicated, but the consideration of the conditions that exist in the present.
4. For these are rather acute, and the acuteness is of such a nature that there are tendencies which unless overcome and blocked off in the lung and the blood supply will gradually be growing worse.
5. In the present, then, there will be the necessity not only for a change for the betterment but there will be required - now - precautions and consistency on the part of the body.
6. Without same these conditions will continue to make inroads. For there is a breaking up (that is causing the temperature in the body) of cellular forces in throat, bronchi and lung. And the distribution throughout the body and the torpidity that is produced in the liver and the eliminations of the system cause an excess in the attempts of the body and blood supply to create sufficient of the leukocytes within the system to block off same.
7. As we find, it would be better that an Antiphlogistine plaster be put on the front AND the back of the body, across the lung and the bronchial area.
8. Adhere to a liquid diet, that there may be the BUILDING properties given in same; as would be in the citrus fruit diet for a portion of each day. Egg with spirits frumenti, or apple brandy is the more preferable. Take this in small quantities, but sufficient to make for an allaying of the

cellular forces in the bronchi and in the lungs, as this (the brandy) acts directly upon the circulation in that direction. The brandy, or the egg with the spirits frumenti may be given - and the brandy would be taken alone. Not too much, but sufficient to keep the allaying of those tendencies in the system. Apple Brandy, not Apple Jack - or cider!
9. Take an eliminant for the whole system, to start - as it were - the reactions of the liver through the gall duct, the pancreas, and those activities of the spleen. Those properties would be better that are found in the solution (rather than the dried) called Simmons' Liver Regulator, which is a vegetable compound including the Ragweed, and Cascara - that makes for an activity upon the GALL duct, the pancreas and the spleen. Use the liquid; not the dry. Take in broken doses; that is, half a teaspoonful about every two hours, until there is a FULL evacuation - or two or three reactions through the bowels.
10. These would be those conditions, as we find, to begin with in the present.
11. Once or twice a day rub the head, around the neck and the lower portion of the spine, with an equal mixture of Olive Oil and GRAIN alcohol; not rub alcohol but GRAIN alcohol. Equal parts Olive Oil and Grain Alcohol. Massage this mixture thoroughly in the spine, from just where the plaster of the Antiphlogistine reaches, to the END of the spine.
12. Keep the body quiet.
13. Let the main foods or drinks that are given be hot. ALL the drinks taken, whatever is taken, would be hot. Drink plenty of water, but warm water; not cold nor tepid water but hot.
14. Then, there must be precautions taken afterward that the feet are kept dry; that there are no exposures that would make for a return of the congestions opening in the lung area.
15. Do these in the present.
16. The plaster would be changed at least every twenty-four hours, or every twelve hours. Keep it up until there is no temperature, no aching, no cold. And when this is taken off, of course, it will be necessary that FLANNELS be kept over the same area for those periods that the body is still in recuperation.
17. Do these in the present.
18. We are through for the present. Copy to Mrs. [413] - Phoned also
