1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of Edgar Cayce of 115 West 35th Street, ... and the dream this body had on the date which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from this, as I read same to you. [EC's dream not read]: [I was at some place, perhaps near an old soldiers' home - didn't know the surrounding country. I saw an old man walking down a path toward me. I was under a large tree, with several seats around me. This man had on light trousers, apparently a mixture of cotton-ade and linen, and same kind of shirt, had a walking cane in his hand, and I thought it must be the walking cane I had made. He walked on up to me, said he was waiting for an old comrade of his. I took hold of the cane and said to myself, "No, I didn't make this. This is of hickory but looks exactly like the one I made." Then I saw coming through the grounds the man he said he was waiting for. He was a very large heavy man, had on Yankee Blue trousers, a blue shirt and cap, and there was a beautiful young lady who had hold of his arm. She was very beautifully and tastefully dressed, short brown hair, curled all over her head, round face with a great deal of color, no hat. As they approached, I saw this man was limping. The old man with me told me he had a bad foot, had been suffering with it for years and nothing seemed to do it any good. While he was talking, the man and the girl came up, and it appeared that he had a fried fish tied over the sore on his foot, which I could see. When he was introduced to me (though I don't remember his name), after saluting his comrade with a military salute, I asked him what in the world he meant by tying a fish on his foot, that he surely knew that was the worse thing in the world that he could do. He told me his doctor had tried everything else, so he thought he'd try to kill the poison by putting another

poison on it. I leaned over on a box that was sitting near and began to ask him questions about how long it had been sore. I could see then great crowds of people, many of them whom I knew - [900], [137], [257], [4167], and the members of my own family especially, with a great crowd behind them. [900], speaking to Gertrude and [137], said "Let's get up where we can hear him. He's going to give him a reading without going to sleep." The young lady seemed to be very much interested, and I could see her dark brown eyes open wide and with her mouth partly open she drew nearer and nearer to my face, looking me straight in the face. I asked the man how long he had had this sore on his foot. He said, "Well about five years I think." I told him, "No, it has been seven years." The young lady then spoke up, saying, "Yes, Grandpop, you know I was just a little girl. Let's see, I was nine or ten years old, and I'm seventeen now. I'm sure it's been just seven years." As she spoke, I noticed particularly the long eyelashes. I told him then (this old man) "Now I'm going to make you a lotion, a salve, that you will apply directly to this sore, and before each application, this must be cleansed with an alkaline antiseptic, and the limbs rubbed thoroughly. I'm sure your granddaughter will do it for you, and in seven weeks, a week for each year that you have been troubled with this, you will be alright." Then I could hear everyone back of me saying, in a murmur, as it were, "My, isn't that marvelous?"]

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind of the body, with dreams that come to the body.

3. In this present dream, we find there those conditions in many ways as were viewed in the interpretation thereof in the sleep, for the old man with the thin clothing presents that condition which would bring the properties together that would assist many in the ills of the human family, as have been given through the forces as are manifested through EC, as seen in dream.

4. The coming of another comrade, with the granddaughter, presenting, then, the assistance that may be given to the old and feeble, the young and beautiful, alike, see?

5. The seeing of a condition that shows the troubles with the elderly person, and a fish bound on the sore, show the conditions seen in that near a place where many fishes may be caught, being the place from which, such a source, the work of EC should be expanded.

6. The showing of the interest by others, as seen first a few, then those directly interested, with the near

relations, then many groups, giving then the emblematical conditions in which the masses will become interested in the manifestations as are given from time to time.

7. The call then as is seen to tell this man, this sufferer, the trouble and giving of the time and the asking of the question, with the answer by both the elderly person and the young lady: there is seen as to how the conditions may be intercepted or assisted by the injection of young or old into the work contemplated, see?

8. The telling then of the remedy and that which will bring relief, and the time set in five - seven - seventeen - twelve - nine - there are seen those correlations again of numbers, in which there is given the key, as it were, to the time, the manner, the way, in which the accomplishment of those contemplated conditions may be carried out, see? First then, as we see, the numbers, the mystic numbers or seven's, see? Again we see that multiple of same in five - seven - five - twelve, see? Two - seven nine - see? These all show their relation one to another. With the awe that is caused to the masses, the groups, showing the wonder-way in which the conditions will be brought about, and the marvelous conditions as will be manifested through the works, if these were carried forward.

9. Then this relates, as we see, directly to that condition which has been given in preparing properties to be distributed to people, [See [1800] series] and the connection of same with the lessons as may be given to others that will help spiritually, mentally, morally and financially.

10. The appearance of the young and the old, of the single in stick, of the old in flesh, of the conditions as surround in every manner; those emblematical conditions of the multitudes in their various walks, in their various spheres of manifestation - that may also be assisted.

11. We are through for the present.
