1. GC: You will have before you the body of Edgar Cayce, present in this room. You will give the physical conditions of the body at the present time, with special reference to shortness of breath, heart's action, digestion and headache, giving the cause of each of these and their correction, and will answer any other questions I may ask regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before. There are many changes in the physical conditions of the body since last we had it here. While those conditions as in reference to heart's action, digestion, headache, are produced, or are the effects of those causes as have been given, yet the system - under the present environs and the conditions existent with the body-physical - we find producing the various or varied conditions which exist in the system at present.

3. These, then, are the conditions, with the prognosis of the physical action in the system:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find this rather heavy and abnormal in its pressure, with the effect produced of the poor eliminations, produced by the digestion, overtaxed nerve system, overtaxed secondary forces of the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexuses. Hence that pressure produced on pneumogastric that gives the cause of headache. The pressure on the pneumogastric plexus to the secondary cardiac, and cardiac, gives the shortness of breath. The condition in blood and in the system generally gives that condition in muscular tissue, as is seen in arm [neuritis?], and the pressure as produced in the torso proper, especially in the jejunum, that gives the excess - or the cause for the non-functioning of the gall duct or the liver in its excretory forces.

5. The condition, then, is that of lack of the eliminations; from an overtaxed nerve system, from eating under stress, from eating too much, from eating when the system should be eliminating; causing, then, these stresses on the physical forces of the body.

6. Then, to bring the nearer normal conditions:

7. Keep the mental forces in that equilibrium necessary for

the proper distribution of the portions of system in their rebuilding and in their eliminations, see?

8. Yet much of that as exercised in temper is seen in the action of the liver.

9. Then these should be taken in conjunction one with the other. Cleanse the system, then, thoroughly; and do not eat so much, for this brings the distresses to the body.

10. Relax more thoroughly when the system has been under strain in mental and in that action of the subconscious control of body.

11. With these proper conditions brought to their proper functioning, we would find the normal forces, functioning nearer the normal. Do that.

12. Produce the eliminations by those salines that bring the action of liver and the relieving of pressure in that plexus region, emptying the stomach, keeping the system nearer the normal mental equilibrium, see? Do that.

13. (Q) What specific saline would be best? (A) With that which has been taken, now the best would be the Phosphate of Soda, with the addition of Syrup of Sarsaparilla to each dose taken - and occasionally add a drop of Rectified Oil of Turp, or plain Turpentine, see? The Phosphate of Soda would be taken each morning, before meals, see? that in solution, or that plain, see? Solution the better, more active.

14. (Q) Has the psychic work which has been done by the body been too great a strain on the physical, either in the amount or the kinds? (A) No. Only when the body does not allow the system to gain its normal equilibrium after such a strain. For the psychic forces are those through which the physical, mental and spiritual body may be assisted, helped or controlled. So, when not abused but used properly, these assist. When abused? Wrong condition, wrong suggestion, wrong information attempted - these bring stress, strain, see? Nominal exercise, but a little each day.

15. (Q) Does any of the work that has been attempted lately - has it been either the wrong kind or abused in any way? (A) Not relaxing thoroughly after such tensions, see?

16. (Q) How should the body best relax? (A) Best lie quiet for three to five minutes afterward, see? Prone.

17. (Q) Any further suggestions for the improvement of this body in any way? (A) Those as given, we see, will bring the near normal, and with the addition from time to time will bring the perfect, normal conditions for the system, see? See, the body is

very good. It'll live a long time yet!

18. (Q) How often should the body attempt to give the psychic readings, without any bad effects? (A) Two to five times each day. Ready for questions. [After pause] We are through.
