Time of Reading 11:30 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body & enquiring mind - Dreams)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, EC; this we have had before.
2. Dreams, with their import in the experience of individuals, are - as we have indicated - experiences of the soul or cosmic body in periods when the consciousness of material things is more or less subjugated to the mental or spiritual forces of an entity.
3. And these come either as lessons, forewarnings, or emblematical experiences that may be applicable in the experience the one having them - or those associated.
4. (Q) Recently: Big snake curled in Gertrude's lap. (A) This particular experience is emblematical, in which there is seen that which is known is the material mind would be inconceivable to the body - for such activities in the normal conditions or surroundings. Hence it becomes emblematical of those things that (of the mental) are held in the consciousness of the body respecting associations, relations and conditions experienced by the body in its relations. That this becomes a menace to the body visioning same is the experience in the vision, but - as seen - if there is kept the attitude of self mentally that prevents the activity becoming effective (as in vision) to those about same, this may become an experience with the lessons from same being applied in the experience of all concerned. See?
5. (Q) What was the significance of the snake, or what did it represent in the lap of the individual seen? (A) Just as we have explained. That held in the mental being of the body respecting associations and conditions. See?
6. (Q) What is the particular lesson that should be gained for each? (A) As seen, the attitude held by the body visioning same became such as to prevent the conditions becoming harmful in

the experience (in the vision), see? Then, this must be the attitude of all concerned, that there may be no results or effects in the experience of any that would be harmful.
7. (Q) Dream had Fri. morning, this morning: Drove car with Gertrude through narrow passage, over muddy place where many other cars had stuck, and came to clear water and nice road. (A) This is also emblematical, produced by the mental experiences of seeing or feeling anxiety respecting contemplated trip. Yet, in the vision, it is emblematical rather of the conditions that exist in the experiences of the principals seen in the vision. Hence, while there are those troublesome conditions that arise - as seen by the emblems of the gorge, the rocks, and the narrow road - and also those journeys along life's ways where mud, mire and the like are emblematical of those things that make for the hindrances, the falling away in the experience and lives of others; yet when these things are met in the manner as indicated - (in the way that the car was guided over and through that way, while to some it was questioned and questionable, doubt even arising in selves as to the advisability, yet - as was seen and visioned - must be passed in the journey through the experiences in the material affairs of all concerned) - when guided aright, kept straight in the narrow way, there is brought - even as visioned - the clearness of understanding, purity of purpose, and the acceptableness in the Giver of those influences in the affairs, hearts and souls of all.
8. (Q) Dream had sometime ago, regarding a baby that was very remarkable, talking before an audience that was spellbound. It was being examined to see that is wasn't just a midget, and no one could find fault. All agreed it was a prodigy. (A) This is emblematical of conditions that arise in the in giving out that in the manner of speech and activities in the experiences of others; that which becomes to self, or is felt by self as being (as seen in the child), little, or of no purpose in the present, and in its environs; but grows so as to make the hearts, souls of men, of that turn which brings Life itself. Good dream!
9. (Q) What did the baby represent? (A) The fact, or truth itself.
10. (Q) Any other message at this time for the body? (A) Keep in the way whereunto thou hast been called, in

making for the call of Him that may make the paths straight for His coming.
11. We are through.
