Time of Reading 11:45 to 12:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion - Mental-Spiritual)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Edgar Cayce, this we have had before.

2. There are changes in the general physical forces of this body since last we had same here.

3. Some warnings have been given respecting the physical reactions and the effect these WOULD have upon the physical organisms. Only a little or part has been done respecting these. And rather negligence is the cause of the physical reactions.

4. THESE are conditions as we find them in this body in the present:

5. First, the BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find disturbed not only by the effect of toxic forces that are present in the blood stream, but by the effect these HAVE had and DO HAVE upon the circulation in its relationships to the organs; mainly, the heart, the liver, the kidneys.

6. In the present we find that these indicate a high blood pressure with a great deal of sediment in the gall duct area, with little coordination between the pancrean secretion, the gall duct or the liver secretion and the spleen. Hence a congestion is produced in those portions of the system, in that area.

7. This HIGH circulation, but slow in portions of the system - as is the ordinary result of such a condition, leaves drosses; or there is the lack of the proper eliminations through the system. Thus headaches are caused, neuritis, pressures in the portions of the system; and the effects are as destructive forces to the organs that have been indicated as being under stress in this particular condition at the present time.

8. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, here we have not only a reaction from the organic conditions, or the DISTURBANCES in the organs, but the effect of mental worries that make for the further tendencies of poor assimilation. Hence these

294-184 Page 2

combined with the lack of the proper secretions from the organs of digestion produce periods when there will be an abnormal appetite, yet the lack of the proper elements - as indicated - for assimilation. For the very sight or odor of food makes for a manner through which the organism of the nervous energies may find expression; for the very satisfaction not of bodily necessities but of the mental aggravation. Hence this works a hardship to the general conditions in the system as related to digestion and assimilation.

9. In meeting these conditions in the present, as we find:

10. First, there should be rather more of a consistency through the activities for KEEPING in a normal balance; through the MENTAL activity as well as through the supplying of the necessary elements and influences for the system in its bodily functions to keep a normal balance in the body itself.

11. In that there are existent conditions to be met, then, it would be well that SPECIFIC activities or elements be a portion of the application in the present; that there may be such brought to the physical forces that the MENTAL body and the PHYSICAL body may, in SYMPATHETIC coordination, create those activities necessary to supply a better physical channel through which the mental and spiritual forces may be active. For these ARE but expressions of one, and it is natural that they be in a coordinant or cooperative condition for the body itself.

12. As there is a lacking in the activity of the gall duct and the liver secretions, and the lacteals, for the digestive forces, it would be well that these in small quantities be added to the system in a CONSISTENT way and manner:

13. At least once each day take a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth stirred in a glass of water, to which there would be added ten minims of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin.

14. There should be the use of the high colonic irrigations sufficiently often to keep the alimentary canal cleansed, and especially those areas where there has been indicated that there are the after effects of operative forces. These in the immediate show the LACK of proper evacuations. But these are NOT the causes of the neuritic effects in the present, as these arise from those congestions that are rather sympathetic to the conditions that have been indicated - in the lack of secretions in the pancreas, spleen, gall bladder and gall duct. These are producing more and more torpidity. And, as we have indicated, unless there is some adherence to these suggestions made, there

294-184 Page 3

will be the necessity of operative measures - or more stringent activities - to prevent greater distresses in the body.

15. Do these, then, in a consistent manner.

16. Do not overeat; either of those foods that become abhorrent to the appetite or of those that are pleasant. Do not eat any great QUANTITIES at any time. There should not be a conglomeration of foods, but rather those that satisfy and are active upon the organs of the body.

17. It would be well, too, that there be at least ten to twelve manipulative treatments, osteopathically given, to coordinate the pressures that are indicated through the secondary cardiac plexus area; and those from the stomach or from the 3rd, 4th and 5th cervical as coordinated with the upper dorsal, or the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsal area. Also the lumbar, as combined with those activities through the lower hepatic circulation. Thus the pressures upon the lumbar area will be relieved and there will be caused a greater activity.

18. As to the mental and spiritual forces of the body, much might be said - concerning that given for the physical forces; in that, "CONSISTENCY thou art indeed a jewel."

19. If there will be kept in the mental and spiritual life that as given for the activities in thy neighbor, thy friend, thy brother, then this would be rather more in accord with making those attunements in which there may be the atmosphere, the aura - indeed - of a helpful force of influence about the PHYSICAL forces as to keep nearer in accord.

20. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) Should any laxative other than the Bismuth be taken? (A) The Bismuth is not very much of a laxative; it is rather an absorbent. Laxatives are well to be taken, of course; for there should never be allowed a twenty-four hour period without an evacuation. For this, as indicated, makes for an accumulation of toxic poisons or drosses that tend to make for pressures upon the nervous system, in the sympathetic or the vagus and cardiac centers, and an engorgement and an enlargement of the heart's activity. Hence the colonic irrigations. Hence the better activities in the food values, rather than such a conglomeration as to make for distressing conditions. Hence, also, the constructive mental activities in regard to same.

22. (Q) What laxative is best for this body? (A) There should be no one individual laxative. Rather vary from oils to sodas, or dirt, or any of these in their combinations.

23. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) Be consistent.
