Time of Reading 4:15 to 4:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will have before you the psychic work of Edgar Cayce, who is present here. You will give a discourse at this time on the source of the information given in his readings and its transmission, especially as related to the original development of this ability in the Egyptian incarnation as Ra-Ta, giving in detail the procedure and training of the entity at that time which made possible the manifestation of his psychic abilities now.
2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, now known as or called Edgar Cayce; and the information which has been given from time to time concerning sources, manners, ways and means of its activity.
3. In relating same to the development as indicated in the entity's experience as Ra-Ta, to some little would be understood as to manners and means of psychic or soul information - yet this is sought here.
4. In considering the experience, much must be taken into consideration that would be only understood by those who have turned within and who know themselves as being souls, and as bearing direct relationships to Creative Forces. Those may not understand who only see the material or mental world, and who know little of spirit or of soul and as to its activity.
5. For, indeed it is true that ye must seek if ye would find. As given of old, and as ye may read, it is not who shall descend from heaven to give thee a message, nor who should come from over the sea; for Lo, it is within thine own self.
6. Remember, then, that what has been developed in this entity IS the birthright and the privilege of all who seek to know their relationship to their Maker, and the manner in which they may use or apply that relationship to their fellow men. For, as ye do it unto the least of these, thy brethren, ye do it unto thy Maker. Take that home and think over it!
7. In this entity's experience or development as Ra-Ta, there was the choice of the entity to apply self in a

direction away from self-indulgence, self-aggrandizement, in the relationships of those who sought understanding of their relationship to Creative Forces.
8. Selfishness, that is the sin of the earth today, was the sin of the earth then.
9. The entity turned within, and there found his Maker - as is the promise to every soul today. Enter into communion with thy God within! Ask thyself, then, what is thy God, - Who is thy God? Is it position, place, fame, fortune? Is it self or others?
10. As the entity sought to aid others, there were those opportunities given, through the groups that gathered about. Thus in the application of that DESIRE, that WILL to TRY, there entered in - or came - that influence which today, when turning within, enables the entity to give that which is the measure of faith of the seeker.
11. Each and every relationship in man's experience is RELATIVE, according to purpose, desire, will, hope!
12. Then, in what is thy hope? Self, or the faith in thy Maker?
13. These were the experiences, these were the sources, - these ARE the sources through which the entity turns to seek.
14. They are, then, of the universal nature; not of an entity, not of a personality, not of other than the WILL to do God's bidding!
15. As to manners and means of transmission of psychic information, the sources of information - ALL know, feel, understand, as has been indicated. There are RELATIVE positions, then.
16. Then, whether it is the desire of the seeker for a source that is of a discarnate entity or soul, or whether it is of self, or the making of that which is the will - from any and all sources may such information come.
17. But what has been, what is, the correct source?
18. What is that which is sure? When self is effaced, then one becomes a channel for the Father's will. This is shown in many of those things that might be used as examples, that to many might become odious; but the law of God is not mocked - whatsoever ye sow, ye must reap!
19. He that doeth the will of the Father in desire, in purpose, in hope, doeth not then of himself, but through the spirit of Him who has given, that in Him - God - ye live, ye move, ye have thy being.
20. Then, as to its authenticity, as to its truth, as to its helpfulness in the present application of the abilities, - not only of this man but every soul that seeks to know God's

way: FOR WHAT PURPOSE DO YE ENTER INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES?
21. Is it on account of fear, or on account of desire that ye may laud self or prepare for selfish desires? Such may be partially aided or helped for the time, but their fruits ripen in the experiences of those who seek with such purpose or desire. Thus often they find the source dried, even as the fig tree. Oft they find it sprouting as from naught, even as Isaac the son of promise. Even they find it who seek knowing not what, yet desirous to be used only by Him who quickeneth, who has given and is true to fulfill "My Spirit beareth witness with thy spirit as to whether ye be the children of God or not."
22. Not that the entity there as Ra-Ta did ever that which was considered by others as in keeping with the rule which he met himself - just as ye may meet thyselves as ye move along life's way.
23. To each soul, then, let this be given:
24. Know - KNOW - in Whom ye have believed, and whether He is able to keep that which is promised thee!
25. And is thy desire, thy purpose, that it be approved of man or of God? For, God looketh and judgeth not as man. Man seeth the outward appearance; God looketh on and knoweth the heart!
26. Have ye looked into thy heart lately? What manner of image cherisheth thou there? Does it take hold upon the earth, or those things that are earthy? or does it take hold upon those celestial things of beauty and hope - no hate, no jealousy, no DESIRE to laud self or others, but only to know Him who hath given, "If ye love me, keep my commandments; and my commandments are not grievous - my yoke is easy, my burden is light," to those who LOVE His coming.
27. Hast thou entertained thy Lord, thy God, lately? WHY not?
28. Hast thou been kind and loving, and patient, to any today? WHY not?
29. Hast thou been showing the outward appearances; that ye may be wellspoken of or thought of? WHY?
30. Study to show thyself approved unto GOD - not to man! a workman NOT ashamed; keeping self from ever CONDEMNING others! Condemn not, if ye would not be condemned. This is law - DIVINE law!
31. Do ye seek to know divine law? Ye can only find it in thyself.
32. We are through. hrough.
