Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 and 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here: Edgar Cayce. This we have had before.
3. In the present there are disturbing conditions. While much of these are exhaustion, much also has to do with the general conditions; and unless there are administrations to correct the disturbances it will become rather a serious disorder and not much may be done if waiting too late.
4. These are the conditions as we find in the present:
5. First, the blood supply indicates a great deal of toxic conditions. These arise from that which exists through the colon and from the congestions in the lung area and those dilations in the trachea and thrombose circulation. While not producing a great deal of visible disorder, it causes a great deal of pain - exhaustion to the body.
6. Any or all of these may cause definite and long lasting disturbance unless corrections are made.
7. There are those conditions in the flexes of the lower limbs, especially in the right limb, resulting from a wrench sometime back in the muscular forces at the head of the tibia. Thus there is caused a contraction in the area under the knee, so that there is the lack of sufficient activity to allow the better circulation through the lower portion of leg and foot.
8. These are the conditions and, unless something is done about them soon, we may have greater disorders.
9. Then, there should be at least two or three colonic irrigations given rather close together; rest, and then the adjustments to purify the whole circulation. The type of the osteopathic manipulations should be gentle but setting up better drainages through the system.
10. Supply elements not of too much flesh, or meat, yet not wholly of vegetable, nut or fruit diet, but some of each.

11. These as we find, if done, may bring the near to normal reflexes and reactions in the body.
12. These should be done where there may be the treatments not too often but every other day. The first three colonics should be almost every other day also, or one with not too much water used - but do use the soda and salt in the water, with an antiseptic such as Glyco-Thymoline in the rinse water. Don't attempt to cleanse the whole colon the first day. Then skip a day and then have another colonic - now a little bit more of the water and the proportions of salt and soda would be: a heaping teaspoonful of table salt and - yes, two teaspoonsful of salt and - one heaping teaspoonful of baking soda. And in the rinse water, for the half a gallon put at least a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline.
13. Then there should be the manipulations setting up drainages, relieving those tensions in chest with heat - as with the Infra-Red - and then the manipulation.
14. We find that the earlier these may be done the better, for there's a greater amount of toxic poisons than is indicated. Until these treatments may be had, do cleanse the system with whatever is required; for there are conditions that need to be removed in the upper portion of the colon and through the lower portion of duodenum.
15. Until these are begun, let the diet be mostly of liquids and semi-liquids.
16. Do that.
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) The manipulations should not be made until the colonics are finished? (A) Be well to give a manipulation first - but these are to be worked together. As we have indicated, it is not the readings themselves that irritate the body - it is the worry, the anxiety.
19. (Q) How can the body best free himself of worry and anxiety concerning the office routine? (A) Get out of the office!
20. (Q) Would it be well for me to go to Roanoke, Va., and rest from all office work except the readings and take treatment from Dr. Harry Semones, [D.O.], and could I get all the treatments there? (A) You can get all of these treatments there. There may be the necessity for outside application of the Infra-Red, but it would be well - for all would be close at hand, and this would be preferable to any place where there would be anxieties from others outside. You may carry on the work - but commence soon!
21. (Q) Would it be better than trying to stay at home and

carry on? (A) You haven't the treatments available in the house! Go where you may have them in the house!
22. (Q) How long should I stay? (A) Until you are well or dead one!
23. (Q) Any suggestions that will help Dr. Semones in treating me? (A) As indicated these should be relaxing, not stimulating, treatments.
24. (Q) Would it be well for me to secure the services of a medical doctor? (A) Not unless you want a lot more trouble!
25. (Q) Should I try to get one colonic before going? (A) The worry of long journeys is causing the anxieties! Take sufficient Sal Hepatica, oil, Eno Salts, to empty the alimentary canal - any of those properties that will empty the alimentary canal.
26. (Q) Have the onion poultices that have been used been helpful? (A) They have helped but they only relax locally. Do have your electric pad with you. Better take plenty of onions, too. The sooner these treatments are begun the better. As soon as you can make arrangements. Wire Semones to reserve two rooms at Patrick Henry Hotel, and as soon as this is done commence going!
27. (Q) Is there any other advice for the body or for those going, that would be helpful at this time? (A) Don't get too excited, because you'll have some exciting experiences - but keep quiet.
28. (Q) Would it be best for Jean or Gladys to go with us? (A) Either or both.
29. (Q) Who would be best to leave in charge of the office? (A) Who is best in the office?
30. (Q) Be better to leave Gladys, then? (A) Who is best in the office?
