1. EC: Amusing incident here in the office - that is, to some. To others it isn't very amusing!

2. We have the body here. Now, we find there have been for some time back conditions that were aggravating to the better functioning of organs as related to the general system, and that general conditions are very good. These specifics as exist are rather the effects of disturbances, and the effects have been treated rather than the cause.

3. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [302] we are speaking of:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this rather deficient in replenishing forces or rebuilding, or the plasmatic cellular force that causes perfect coagulation. Not to such an extent as to become detrimental, save at times when conditions are such that this plasm, or that necessary to meet the inroads of conditions existent, necessitates the expulsion from the system of an over amount of used tissue, or substance, or those bacilli as become destructive. Then we find resultant from same the closing of tissue, and the mucus producing conditions of the system become accentuated - in the weakened conditions in body - from improper impulses as direct circulation towards those portions of system, as is seen in the upper portion of body, or head, neck, the soft bone tissue of the face and head - those suffer from such conditions.

5. NERVE SYSTEM very good in many respects. One that may be termed of iron nerve, but this is more the will than nerve, for oftentimes the nerve responses of the system are such that, without the full control of will, would go all to pieces, as it were; for with these constant strains as exist from the subluxation, or sublimation, as exists in the 2nd and 3rd dorsal and in the 4th and 5th cervical, these are WEARING - as it were - on the nerve system, both cerebrospinal and the sympathetic; and it is from these improper conditions existent that the diversion, or the

302-7 Page 2

inactivity of the circulation, or nerve impulse and blood supply with same, has been and is caused; or the base of the conditions as exist in the upper portion or in the head, throat and the face.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces extraordinary and all of their reactions throughout the system. The will, as applied to the physical body, is above the ordinary.

7. Functioning of the sympathetic system with the sensory organism shows the greater distress throughout the body, yet there are reflexes in other portions of the system as to cause distress; but these are sympathetic, as seen from the conditions existent in the digestive system at times, and the tired weakness as exists when the body stands long on the feet, or in too much activity. This more worrisome to the body than the rest of the disturbances in the system, because the body doesn't like to feel it's not up to the standard it would like to be.

8. To meet the needs of the conditions of the system, then, and to remove in the way and manner as to prevent the reoccurrence, this will require a little time, a great deal of persistence, patience, and the CONSISTENT use - or the consistency for the body as applied to that being applied for the correction of the conditions.

9. First it will be necessary to relieve those pressures in the dorsal and cervical region, and loosen the nerve impulses through the ganglions of those nerve centers - 1st and 2nd dorsal, and 3rd dorsal - 4th and 5th cervical, see? Necessary that these have wet heat applied to same before the manipulations or ADJUSTMENTS are made. Would be better that several treatments or manipulation be given before adjustments were made.

10. Also it will be found necessary that LOCAL applications for the antrum, throat and nasal cavity, be used in a weakened solution of Mono-Ichthyolate as an antiseptic, LOCALLY applied. This will necessarily have to be done by a physician.

11. The osteopathic treatments and adjustments may be made with a few minutes treatment after same with the Violet Ray, at not too high a discharge. [Violet ray hand machine, bulb applicator]

12. The applications for the local conditions should be applied at least every fifth day.

13. As an inhalant use this, in these proportions. This to be inhaled through nose and through the mouth. The inhalations may be taken three to four times each day, or that necessary to clear the tissue of accumulations of

302-7 Page 3

refuse forces as accumulate in the soft tissue of the head and throat. This the inhalant: To six (6) ounces of pure grain alcohol, in at least a twelve (12) ounce container, add: Eucalyptol, Oil of..................12 minims, Benzoin.............................10 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp................5 minims, Canadian Balsam.....................20 minims, Rectified Creosote..................10 minims, Tincture of Tolu in solution.......1/2 ounce.

14. Keep this in a glass corked container. Do not shake or disturb except when it is to be used. Inhale only the fumes or the accumulations of the active forces of these, as applied with that of the radiating forces of the alcohol.

15. These we will find will bring bettered and near normal conditions for this body, [302]. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) What is the condition of the frontal sinus? (A) This shows that there is over excitement or over activity of the nerve system, the blood condition is weakened so by the use of same in other portions of the body as to allow accumulations, under weakened condition, to become existent in this portion of the body. This shows the effect of this condition throughout the frontal portion of the face.

17. (Q) What is the condition of the ethmoid bone? (A) This in portion has been removed, yet we find there is still the effect of accumulations in the portion, which brings about headaches and nerve tension as reactions.

18. (Q) What condition do we find in the antrum? (A) About that as we find in the others. Hence the necessity, as has been given, of the use of a weakened solution of Mono-Ichthyolate as applied locally to these portions of the system, for the cleansing and the recuperation of this tissue. DO that as given, if we would bring the bettered conditions for the body. Do as we have given. It is NECESSARY that the basis, or that which produces the condition, be corrected - for without this the local applications mean treating only effects and NOT the cause. The heat must be applied, and the stimuli of nerve reaction in Violet Ray is as necessary as any portion. We are through for the present.
