Time of Reading 4:20 to 4:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. HLC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [303], present in this room, and her daughter [263], ..., Va., and the affairs that involve each member of the family in every respect. Please analyze the present conditions, giving definite information, advice and counsel which may be easily understood by each, as to how these conditions may be overcome. You will answer the questions which will be submitted by [303].

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [263] - and [303], present in this room.

3. In analyzing the feelings, the emotions, or that which is produced in the experience of each individual, these become rather hard to express in terms that are even compatible to one another - of such different environ or temperament or experience - as to be easily understood by each.

4. Yet, in giving the experience of the activity of individuality, personality and soul's influence in the earth, each soul must learn from its own experience and through its own environ as to what, as to how that individual will personify in materiality that the soul holds as its ideal.

5. That each soul may have an ideal and the ideals be far, far apart is evidenced each day in the experience of individuals. Yet ONE may lead to life eternal, the other may lead to those forces that bring only destructive influences in the experience. For, as has been said of old, "There is the way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is death."

6. Then, in analyzing the conditions that exist, many varied phases must be considered; that there are more than the one, than the two, than the three, that must be affected by the very activities that are BEING enacted in the experience of each.

7. Unless there is, then, the ability to appeal to the

raising of the better self - not as for contention, as for self, but as for all that are concerned; for there is a duty, an obligation that must override even affection (in its state that would even destroy those that yield to its activity). Then, only in such a manner as for duty, obligation, for love, for self, for respect, for honor, for truth, may such be kept in a manner that may aid each in meeting those conditions that confront them in the present experience.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) What is the cause of the present family trouble in relation to my daughter, [263]? (A) Desire for self-aggrandizement of self's own interests, without respect to duties or obligations.

10. (Q) What can I do to help in order that the situation may be relieved and those involved may be assisted in bringing back harmonious conditions? (A) Only on the basis that we have indicated; that the conditions, the circumstances must be viewed and considered from each and every angle. And ONLY in such a way and manner may there by expected to be brought that which will bring harmony. For, as conditions exist, self lies in the way of the one.

11. (Q) Is there any advice in regard to her husband? (A) Only that there be that same manner of approach to the duties, the obligations, the enactment of all associations and relations in such a way and manner that each body that that is so close in the situations as to be so vitally affected be considered. For, few will this be presented in that only in selfishness would there be an activity that would bring to those that are near and dear to others contention, strife, heartache, tears, sorrow; and if these will not, then leave it with them and their Maker. Know, though, that all within thine own power has been done, and leave it in His hands.

12. (Q) Is her mind affected from B.C.'s or from any other cause? (A) No. [For a long time she has been taking B.C. Powders for headaches.]

13. (Q) Should I keep the husband in my home? (A) Be the better. [11/2/34 See 303-6, Par. 10-A, 11-A.]

14. (Q) Please give me, [303], some advice that will aid me in bringing about a better understanding spiritually between myself and my employer. (A) In all the relationships, in the understandings, let thy yeas by yea and thy nays by nay. For, as there arises from the activities of others that which makes him for the moment flare or lose hold of self, there is only required on

the part of self patience, perseverance, persistence - and these things will make for the growth of the soul. Then, let not that which has been said so hurt self as to cause self to act, say or do that which would not be in keeping with the policy, the activity, the life of self in the relationships that have existed - and that will exist.

15. (Q) Is there any indication of me changing my work in the near future? (A) Not unless there are some decided actions taken respecting some things that have been said. But if these are passed (as they should be), no.

16. (Q) Is there any advice that I may have in relation to the house in which we now live, as to financing it or trying to sell it? (A) If there is the ability to carry on with same for three, yea four more months, THEN it will be very easy to re-finance same through ANY of the organizations that are formed for such. If there is the desire or determination, under conditions and circumstances, that it would be better for sale - it would be a very poor time or period for same. WE would carry on, for this will be made possible - if there are kept those same relations as in the present. [See 303-6, Par. 9-A on 11/2/34.]

17. (Q) Please give me such advice that I may need at this time, that I may be better able to carry on. (A) As self meets the daily problems that arise, not in the form or manner that these are as burdens cast aside or cast upon the arms or shoulders of thy Savior and thy God. Rather that in thine counseling, in thine prayer, in thine meditation, they be taken into thine heart and thine life as THY partners. For these will be found ready and willing to SHOW thee the way, and to guide thee into the proper understanding and the proper interpretation of why the experiences of the day or the hour. Rather look upon the experiences, the hardships, as the awakening within self that the influences and forces are necessary to bring life, light, hope and understanding. For, He is able to bear thine burdens - but He will not bear them alone. Neither may YE bear them alone, but - as He has given - "Come unto me and I will SHOW thee the way, and give thee rest."
