1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [303], present in this room, together with her present physical condition, her desires for restoration of better physical forces in her body, her home and surroundings, her son, [361], her work and associates, and how she may better serve in bringing harmony and understanding to all. You will go into each of these thoroughly and give definite and specific information and advice that may be easily understood by her. You will answer the questions that she will ask.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [303]; present in this room; this we have had before.
3. In the desire to create harmony - physically, and mentally, and in relationships with those in the home, in the work, and in other environments - this, of course, the entity must understand, and also comprehend: Harmony must first be within self.
4. So long as the activities of others are allowed to upset the body, this produces first inharmony within self.
5. This does not necessarily mean to become indifferent, but in the physical and in the mental and in the spiritual, there is required first the SURETY within self. Know not only what ye believe but Who is the author of same; not because, merely, this or that may have been said by this or that person, but - according to the true spiritual law - because "My Spirit beareth witness with thy spirit - where two shall agree as concerning anything, they shall ask my Father in heaven and He will do it, that I may be glorified."
6. This was not given merely as something to say, nor to make individuals feel puffed up or less mindful of the rest; that is, "Ye shall love one another."
7. These are manners, then, that harmony may be brought.
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) How can I get rid of my cold and cough?
303-39 Page 2
(A) The cold and cough at present is the result of weaknesses that have been oft indicated, and produce superacidity in the system - that allows cold, and the poisons produced even by the destruction of the cold germs to leave an excess of waste tissue in the body. This produces weakness. And when there is an overtaxing of self in such weak periods, this gives the opportunity for the multiplying of the cold germ in the body. This, then, continues to be something of a vicious circle. Hence the manner to get rid of same is to build up resistances in the body sufficient to destroy the cold germs; which is being done at times, for it gets better and then it gets worse again. Hence the needs of precaution. And it requires patience within self, and being mindful that the eliminations are kept. These have been and are a great deal of the trouble, but the conditions through the jejunum are bettered. However, this does not mean that they will not return or take hold again, unless there is the consideration of the existing condition in that the system is assisted or boosted in the manners indicated to overcome these weaknesses of every kind - by aiding the system in every way possible.
10. (Q) How may I bring about more vitalizing forces in my body now? (A) Just by the care. Do not be unmindful that little indiscretions are at the seat of many of the upsets; such as getting warm and then getting cold, or sitting or being where there are drafts, or getting mad - for that is one of those things necessary to prevent in order to produce that harmony indicated. Just don't let even Old Nick make you mad! Laugh at it!
11. (Q) What is cause and relief for weakness in shoulders, arms and lower limbs? (A) Just as indicated, this is the effect of pressures on nerve forces - that are tired by overexertion, and not eliminating the poisons of the destroyed cold germs through the body, so that toxic conditions are formed. Stimulate, - be mindful to stimulate, though not overdoing it, but keep, - eliminations well. Keep a little better alkalized. These - how, we may ask? It has been indicated that certain vitamins are necessary to keep up the resistance. Be patient, and by all means keep the mind, the attitude,
303-39 Page 3
sweet towards whatever condition may arise. These attitudes will have much to do with the sudden congestions, whether in the limbs or in the arms or shoulders. For any mental upset stops the circulation, as it is already weakened, see?
12. (Q) What is cause and relief for soreness and stiffness throughout my body at times? (A) Just as indicated. See, this is one and the same disturbance.
13. (Q) Have the enemas I have been taking been sufficient to relieve the body of the refuse? (A) For the time being. But if these are not kept up, occasionally at least, we will find the conditions will become more disturbing at times. And as indicated, then, be persistent, be consistent in keeping the eliminations - through knowing what are the sources and how these are and may be eliminated. Keep at it!
14. (Q) Would it be well for me to take sweat baths followed with a rub with the rubbing compound suggested through this source? (A) If it is given as a fume and not a sweat, it would be beneficial. As a sweat it would be too hard on the nerves AND the heart and lung and liver circulation.
15. (Q) What is the cause and relief for the nervousness throughout the body? (A) This is as just outlined. Poisons are the effect of that destruction of used tissue and of cold throughout the body. These destroyed forces, ashes, dross, whatever we might term them, are as positive as grains of sand, as flecks of dirt or dust or carbon, of whatever would hinder - or more possibly as might be called rust. What does rust do on a needle? What does it do in a pipe? How many miles of pipe are in your own body? When you consider the veins, the arteries, the alimentary canal, and that all of these are pipes through which energy flows, and that alongside of each one of these ducts or pipes there are nerve forces, it will be seen what happens when these stop. A pain! wherever it may stop, whether it would be effective to the locomotion, to the imagination or to the reflexes! This causes pain. How to relieve that? Just as indicated, there MUST be better resistance builded in the body. As so oft indicated, the body needs rest! That would help build up, PROVIDED there was the continued use of those applications for building resistance. But just to rest and then discontinue everything else, this would mean very little; and be very apt to cause the body to be much weaker after its rest period than in the beginning. But these need
303-39 Page 4
to be worked together. Then as indicated, know that the mental attitude is the builder; whether it is physical, mental or spiritual, it will have much to do. Ye KNOW what to do. Then just do it!
16. (Q) How may I bring about better elimination? (A) Just as given, by keeping a consistent use of those things suggested for keeping the alimentary canal coordinating, in keeping the activities through the colon not sedentary in nature, and the general attitude constructive towards EVERY condition! Most of all, create harmony. Harmony in the mind will make much harmony in the body. Harmony in the body will in its turn give off that harmony to others.
17. (Q) Have the Peanut oil enemas been well for this body? (A) When used properly, these are very good.
18. (Q) Would Gerber's baby food be good for this body? (A) At times, but it wouldn't be very well to return to baby food altogether.
19. (Q) Please suggest any special foods that will agree with body and at the same time help me to put on some weight? (A) Any of those that are easily digested. Those we find that are vitamin enriched; as the whole grain cereals or their combinations; as the combinations of fish and fowl; as the vegetables that are especially of the leafy nature. Those of the tuberous nature are good at times, but do have at least three of those above the ground to one grown below. Do not have too much of those that produce too great an amount of dross, or of weight, or of bulk. To be sure, the body forces of this body require some bulk, but those of the rougher foods are not so well.
20. (Q) Are my glasses well fitted at this time? (A) These are very good.
21. (Q) What causes present burning of eyes and around eyes at times? (A) This is a part of the general condition. Any portion of body overtaxed when tired, centralizes or localizes the stress there for the time, see?
22. (Q) If it is most essential for me to rest, please advise me just how I can arrange to take a rest under the existing circumstances? (A) This will have to be complied with according to the environs and the surroundings. But don't do the worrying for someone else and yourself also!
23. (Q) Please give me some counsel and advice regarding my home that will help me to carry on.
303-39 Page 5
(A) As indicated, first the harmony sought must be within self. And then, when you are sure of yourself, call those about you; not as a law, as an edict, but as a desire for the creating of the harmony - not that you hope for, but that you have within yourself. This will make, build and create harmony in the others. And we will get much more cooperation than otherwise. Just remember, you catch flies with honey, not vinegar.
24. (Q) Please advise me how I may best help my son, [Sgt. [361]], now in San Juan, Puerto Rico? (A) Just keep patting him on the back; not as that beyond what you feel within self. He has given and is giving himself for a purpose, for a cause; not just merely because he HAS to, or that it is demanded. Think of HIS activities in that light. Know in self, ye desire to contribute to a cause for a purpose; not because it is merely an obligation because Tom, Dick and others do. But God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth, that must he also reap. That there is the concerted effort, even on the part of a few of those that have seen, have heard, have known the joy of the Lord, ye may through same save not only thine own neighbor, thine own vicinity - ye may save the nation.
