1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [305].
2. Now, as we find, conditions physical are very good with the developing forces and with the general reactions of a developing body.
3. With the reactions that are apparent, there may be outlined precautions for the body through the coming periods; especially when the general conditions of the body, combined with the atmosphere and temperature about the body, will bring some decided developments within the body.
4. As we see, there are the periods arising when there will be greater strain on the body for the changing or development of specific elements within the system itself. And those precautions as to diet, as to proper assimilation and elimination, will of necessity have to be looked after more closely, for the better developments.
5. There should be those cares taken, then, that there is not overfeeding; that there is not too much of those forces that will cause a drain on the system when there becomes the necessity for the glands to begin their functioning, that take from the system the greater amount of elements to form specific conditions in the system. That is, not too much tendency for sweets; more carbohydrates, silicon, lime (which may be had by the addition of limewater occasionally to the milk and to the vegetable juices that would be well for the body; also strained green beans, lentils or such; raw carrots that are allowed to be gummed or gnawed on, but be sure that only the juices are gotten or taken by the body, not chunks or pieces off of same).
6. Also in the assimilations and diets, there will be found no better corrective for eliminations than the proper use of Fletcher's Castoria; given always, though, in VERY small quantities, when it is given as a corrective for assimilation and digestion. It is an aid also to stimulating eliminations, or as an evacuant. But given in
305-1 Page 2
small quantities it becomes especially effective under the conditions that will arise in the system. Three to five drops every fifteen to twenty minutes will be five times as good as half a teaspoonful given half, three-quarters or an hour apart. See? For, it will be ASSIMILATED by the system; and aids all portions of the digestive organism to function in a normal manner, adding to the excretions and secretions of the body.
7. This would also be well to rid the body of cold, but add with it an alkaline that is an antiseptic for the intestinal system; or Glyco-Thymoline. It would be well to give this in small quantities in the drinking water, as well as in between periods - until there is the sufficient quantity in system to show, by the odor in the fecal forces eliminated from system. This will prevent danger of colitis or congestion, or the excess activity of the jejunum and the lower bowels, from the drawing on the system of the lymph circulation; or diarrhea. This will be a preventative; it is not a curative at all, but only works with the gastric and muscular forces to create that which PREVENTS any form of toxic forces not being absorbed in the fecal matter.
8. As to the general applications for stimulating the development; to be sure, let there be plenty of sunshine and air through all the period, for all portions of the body would be well - provided there is not allowed too great a draft over the body at any period. For, the ultra-violet forces from the sun's rays will not only strengthen the superficial circulation but will strike deeper into the body, when the developments are at such a period.
9. Hence, to give the body sun baths at specific periods through the day would be well at all times through this particular period of development.
10. Not too much clothing, but sufficient to keep the normal temperature of the body. See?
11. As we find, following these directions, there may be brought for the body the better conditions through these periods; though the general conditions at present are very good.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Is the body at present wearing too much or too little clothing? (A) As indicated, just sufficient to keep the proper body temperature. This may be best found by taking the temperature of the body; not looking for fever, but for the temperature of the body! See? This may be seen by taking it under the arm, or in the crotch. If it's below normal, put on more cover. If it's too high, take some off!

Should there arise those conditions when there is the tendency for belching, particularly of the foods, or souring of same (though this should not occur with the Glyco-Thymoline given in the proper proportions and at the proper times), there may be added with the limewater a little cinnamon water; say a teaspoonful to a couple of glasses of either the milk or vegetable juices.
14. (Q) How much lime water should be used at a time? (A) Half a teaspoonful to a pint of milk or to a cup of the juice.
15. (Q) How much Glyco-Thymoline should be given? (A) This has been indicated! Enough to go plumb through the whole body! It depends upon whether it is given for the cold, congestion, or from those conditions arising from inflammation or diarrhea in the system! Both will arise in various conditions! There's nothing better to use in massaging the gums than ice, raw carrots (peeled, of course), or a combination of a little salt and soda - half and half - which strengthens the gums and is helpful to the body, see? For the baby, of course, the salt and soda would be made into a solution; not try to give it when it's dry, until the child is older and knows better than to snuff it down it's throat!
