Time of Reading 3:15 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [306].
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions - some of a specific nature - that disturb the body.
3. While in many respects the general physical conditions appear well, there are periods when the reactions are fairly good, yet with the activities of the body mentally or physically of any stress the reactions occur that make for the disturbances becoming over-accentuated, causing the low resistance that is manifested.
4. This condition, as we find, has to do principally with the metabolism of the system.
5. These, then, are the conditions that we find with this body, [306], we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. First, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find exhibited or shown the conditions where there is a disturbance with the metabolism, and also the katabolism of the body at times. While the quantity of blood is sufficient, there is the lack of hormones in the hemoglobin to make for stamina; or there is the inability to create a reserve, so that with the exercises of the body this is soon reduced to nil and the strength or vitality leaves the system. [GD's note: Asthenia?]
7. This is an effect, not a cause, as will be seen.
8. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, here we find much disturbance through the manner or character of the specific conditions that disturb the equilibrium, or that cause these reactions which disturb the functioning organs. Not that any organ is diseased but disordered, and the functioning is impaired and under stress.
9. As we find, there exists in the upper dorsal area a condition that is of a lateral nature, in the form of lesion produced by some accident to the body in times past. This affects, then, the area of the secondary cardiac plexus and injures the activities of the distribution of the blood
306-1 Page 2
supply that is carried through the central circulation to the upper portion of the body. Hence we have at times to the extremities the prickly feelings, or as numbness recurring in the system; the shortness of breath, weakness and debilitation that comes from exercising or from any activity; insomnia of a nature comes at times, at other periods heaviness, fullness, lethargy as an opposite activity from the disturbed circulation and an impoverishment of the organs at various times from the necessary supply of blood from a normal reaction in the system.
10. In the activities to the nerve system itself, then, we find this as a contributory cause - the lesion being rather of the SPECIFIC cause, which disturbs the organs and affects the activities of the body; causing the sudden losing of weight or gaining of abnormal weight, or the inability for the activities to be of any duration without making all kinds of disorders arise, first in one portion of the system then in another.
11. As to the FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES:
12. The brain forces are very good. With the over-strained nervous condition, this makes for the inabilities for the activities to the brain forces as often desired - while the discernments are well.
13. In the activities from these same repressions that are produced in this upper dorsal area (being in the 4th, the 3rd, the 2nd dorsal centers), these make to the sympathetic, or to the sensory organism as related to eyes, ears, nose, throat, FEELINGS of the body, the over-activity at times and entirely the LOSS almost of their functioning at others; so that the sense of feeling, the sense of smell, the eyes or the ears, all give distress under varying conditions without being specific other than reflex from a general disturbance in the system at a specific center.
14. Throat, bronchi, lungs, larynx - save as for that condition which occurs in the bronchi from an impoverishment to the upper portion of the lung supply, or to the respiratory system - in these we find little disturbance of any nature. This produces at times a dryness to the throat, tendency to clear the throat without any perceptible mucus or spittle occurring from same; yet a little tickling sensation. This is from the circulation rather than from a disorder, though inflammation would produce an easy congestion there. Not, then, from poisons that come from accumulations of forces that are left as drosses in system, but rather from the LACK of a full circulation and an impoverishment TO the organs.
306-1 Page 3
15. In the digestive system we find that rather of a TEMPERAMENTAL digestion. As seen from the activities in same, those conditions that may agree with the body at one period will form gas or disagree and produce a form of indigestion at another period. This often gives that repression or reaction to the heart's forces, as of a disturbance in the circulation. No heart action that is abnormal, other than that which comes from REFLEX conditions to same; for with a secondary disturbance the condition becomes reflex, or is a secondary condition to be met.
16. The liver, kidneys and hepatic circulation - with the lack of circulation through the upper portion of body, through impingements produced for the upper part of body (through the shoulders, upper lungs, head at times) - these find, the hepatics, too full for circulation. Hence a reflex disturbance in kidneys, and in the activity of the kidneys with the hepatic circulation, though this is rather of the reflex nature.
17. These disturbances then, as we find, may be relieved, with the care, the attention, the persistence and the consistent effort on the part of the body to bring normalcy without disturbing too much the activity of the organs that are already under stress through this impairment to the circulation; considering that the katabolism as well as the metabolism must be established so as to coordinate one with the other.
18. We would begin, then, as with this:
19. First we would use the electrically driven vibrator over the area especially from the 8th and 9th dorsal to the base of the brain, particularly in the upper dorsal area. This treatment we would give once or twice, if necessary, during each day, for five to fifteen minutes.
20. We would also use those vibrations of the Radio-Active Appliance, which will equalize the circulation to the extremities, so that this impoverishment and this activity which has been hindered in the upper portions of body will become more and more normal. Apply this once each day, preferably as the body rests during the day or when it is ready to retire in the evening.
21. Keep a well-BALANCED diet, that has the tendency more for the alkalin than acid. This would be an outline, which may be changed or altered to suit the tastes from time to time:
22. Mornings - citrus fruit, with coddled egg and cakes, or dry cereal; though do not take the citrus fruit juices and cereal at the same meal. Wheat or rye cakes, or rice cakes; or there may be the stewed fruits, baked apple, or the like.
306-1 Page 4
23. Noons - rather a considerable amount of green vegetables, with dressing; or dry toast with the juices of meats, or stews or the like, but not too much fats.
24. We would take each day at least three doses, or small quantities, of olive oil; that the intestinal system and the digestive system may be stimulated to a better activity in normal manner.
25. A normal amount of exercise should be taken throughout the day; not to over-tire the body, but some physical and mental exercises.
26. Evenings - there may be taken a well-balanced vegetable meal, and meats (when taken) of mutton, fish, or the like, but not too much red meat of any kind and NEVER any hog meat of any kind - unless a little crisp bacon be taken of mornings.
27. We will find, if the body will follow these, that with persistent and consistent activity we will reduce these conditions, and heaviness in chest, the pains in head, and those conditions over the system will gradually disappear.
28. Ready for questions.
29. (Q) What quantity of olive oil should be taken at a time? (A) No more than the body will easily assimilate. Do not take over a teaspoonful; preferably not quite a teaspoonful three to four times a day.
30. (Q) How long at a time should the Radio-Active be applied? (A) From forty to sixty minutes. If it is left longer, because the body rests easier, it will not hurt. The plain Radio-Active, applied to the wrist and ankle on opposite sides of body. If used on the right wrist and left ankle today, tomorrow apply to the OPPOSITE sides, see? left wrist, right ankle.
31. (Q) How long a period should this treatment be continued? (A) Until the body gets well! That's what we are trying to do! See, the condition is of this nature - as we have described; that the vibrations will be better than adjustments, because some adjustments have been made that haven't been so good! but the vibration will act as the stimulation to those portions along the system, see, from the middle of the spine to the base of the brain - DEEP! It should be given not with the sponge but with the hard applicator, see, and go deep - along each side of the cerebrospinal system. This will make for a muscular relaxation and contraction that will make for the ADJUSTMENTS necessary; while the Radio-Active is a low form of electrical vibration that will push - as it were - the circulation THROUGH, creating an equilibrium in the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system, making for a
306-1 Page 5
circulation evenly balanced, thus relieving the impoverishment. As to the period this should be taken, take sufficient time to give the body an opportunity to BALANCE and adjust itself. There will be periods when it will make the body feel excellent. Do not overtax the body. Then there will be reactive periods. But keep it up, KNOWING that the adjustments PROPERLY are being made in the system.
