1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

2. In some respects we find conditions bettered; in others we find there's a strain upon the general system, also there are the aptitudes and attitudes at times to overtax the strength and vitality of the body without giving the full opportunity for the vital forces to build up the blood supply and the energies in the system necessary to store resistances.

3. Stay close to those things that have been indicated, in the necessary stimulations.

4. Now we find that there may be the addition of a tonic which would be helpful for the body; such as may be found in S.S.S. or in the Wine of Cardui, or there may be a compound prepared in this way and manner:

5. To 4 ounces of the Syrup of Pepsin, add - in the order named: Essence of Yellow Dock Root.....1/2 ounce, Tincture of Valerian............1/2 ounce, Podophyllum.....................1/2 grain, Essence of Buchu Leaves.........1/4 ounce. Cut 3 drams of Balsam of Tolu in 3 ounces of grain alcohol and add to the solution.

6. The dose would be half a teaspoonful four times a day; after the meals and before retiring - that is, after the three MAIN meals, not BEFORE the meals.

7. These properties will aid in keeping down the acidity and the tendencies produced by overanxiety, overexercise, and the tendencies for the lack of assimilation in the katabolism of the body.

8. Keep a general exercise sufficient to tire the body PHYSICALLY, but not to OVERTAX the body. REST sufficiently.

9. Do this.

10. We should bring bettered conditions for the body.

11. As there is a tendency for the contraction of the muscular forces in the stomach, it would be well to take SMALL quantities of food often - as a stimulation. Instead of eating just three times a day, eat five times a day!

12. Take the malted milk between the morning meal and the lunch. But don't let it change the lunch from raw vegetables and soups of vegetables or meats!

13. And in the afternoon take an EGG IN the malted milk, but don't let this take the place of the eggnog or of the toddy; let these be rather as food building forces.

14. Eat a little bit more each time, and we will find that the tonic will aid the body not only to digest the food but - well, it'll surprise itself by putting on flesh!

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) What is the cause and cure for the cracking of the bones on the left side of my face? (A) Lack of blood, and the tendency for the contraction - as we have indicated in the general conditions. If those are kept up as given, these disturbances in many directions will disappear. But be consistent, not erratic, in the application and in the taking of all those suggested influences for a physical body.

17. (Q) Is the yeast drink that I have been drinking for the past month good for me? (A) Did we give it in this?

18. (Q) Has the congestion in the right side cleared up? (A) Cleared to some extent. It will clear more and more as the eliminations are set up, and as we get more activity through the circulatory forces. And because the body feels a lot better, don't OVERDO ITSELF! Don't do two days work in one, and then have to rest for three or four days. Do half a day's work in a whole day, and be satisfied with that; for there is much - in the abilities mentally and physically - that the body needs to conserve for others.
