1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [308].
2. Now, as we find, there are specific conditions that disturb the equilibrium of the body.
3. These conditions, as we find, have been of disturbance for some time, and reflect in the reactions in the body in different ways. For it, the disturbance, saps the vitality and the resistance in the body, and various portions then are disturbed as there is the necessity for the functioning organ to produce for the system that in its particular element for the normal developments of the body.
4. As indicated when there has been the necessity, under the strain that is causing - the basic causing of the condition, and the thyroids function for the creating of the elements; as of finger nails, toenails, hair and the like, THESE have suffered from the lack of the necessary elements to be produced in the system THROUGH their functioning for the system to be adjusted properly.
5. Also when the necessary functioning for the tonsils is active in system, the same conditions have been the result; added to the reduction of the resistive forces in the white blood supply, and in the nasal and head passages.
6. The SAME condition, APPARENTLY, results from cold, congestion; and yet the basis of this - why the system is not able to MEET the disturbances - is through a specific condition; WORMS!
7. A NATURE of same; not the ordinary stomach worms, but rather the string worm, or hair worm, through the jejunum; or in portions of the lower stomach in the digestive system.
8. Hence we find a little temperature occurs at times. There are days when the body will feel well and strong. A little exercise depletes the activities. The appetite will be ravenous at one meal, and then there will be several meals when nothing just suits exactly. There are disturbances throughout the various portions of system as
308-1 Page 2
indicated. Pains through shoulders, through hips, lower limbs, arms, hands, feet, at various times - as what may be some times be termed GROWING pains. Yet, as we find, arriving from a specific condition that is existent in the system.
9. Now, as we find, the manner in which to combat or to meet the situation would be to keep the body rather from too great an activity for a few days (three to four), that we may RID the system of the conditions; not only rid the system, but supply to the system (through elements that may be given through medicated forces) that which will give the proper balance then for the system to produce for all portions of the system thus affected their proper balance - and overcome the conditions.
10. While in some of the disturbing forces, or disturbing portions, it will become necessary for local or specific applications to be beneficial; but to use these for specific conditions that are the result of some other condition would be only to give temporary relief and not remove the causes, and allow the distresses to go on - as to undermine the system for better development later on; even though the system may be forced through such activities to adjust itself as to overcome, by the creating of too great an amount of the acidity in system so as to rid the system - partially - of the troublesome conditions.
11. But, were the SPECIFIC conditions removed - and the adjusting of the elements and the forces necessary to make for the proper recuperation in the system, then we may expect not only a better physical and mental development - but a better reaction through the mental and physical forces of the body in its whole development through this particular experience.
12. Then, as given, for a few days (three to four), keep the body rather quiet. This doesn't necessarily mean it is not to have movement or activity about the house, or even a little bit out of doors, but not too much of ANY nature.
13. And the principal diet during that period would be a little coffee or tea, and principally green cabbage - for the first day, see?
14. Then begin with small doses of Fletcher's Castoria, taking half a teaspoonful every half hour until half a bottle has been taken.
15. Then take a pellet of Calomel and Santonin, followed by another in about two and a half hours. That is, take two doses. This is already prepared, you see - Calomel, Santonin and Nux vomica. These are prepared in lozenges. Take two of these, about two hours apart.

16. When the bowels have moved properly, then begin with the rest of the Castoria, taking at this time - besides the half a bottle left - at least ANOTHER half bottle.
17. When the bowels have been flushed, than begin with a well-balanced diet that will make for nerve and blood building forces for the body. This would be as an outline, through it may be altered somewhat to suit the tastes; but be mindful that - for at least three to four weeks - no candies, cakes or pies are taken:
18. Mornings - citrus fruit juices; corn cakes or buckwheat cakes that are well buttered, and if a syrup is to be used on same use honey - but at least half of those eaten at a meal should be without it. Or, this may be altered to stewed fruits, mixed fruits, figs, prunes, or rhubarb may be made as one meal - that is, the morning meal, see?
19. Noons - a sandwich of chicken or mutton, or lamb, or veal; or there may be included in this the whole wheat toast with milk that has been brought not to a boil but ALMOST, or make into milk toast. Or, there may be taken at this meal the juices of meats or the juices of vegetables; but, preferably WITHOUT the meats or the vegetables, see?
20. Evenings - at least three of the evening meals each week should be of calves' liver with eggs (and only the egg yolks used); with grits and gravy, or rice and gravy - or other cereals of the same nature. And cooked vegetables, as any of the LEAFY vegetables that are palatable for the body, or cooked in such a manner as to BE palatable; that carry iron, and silicon, and sulphur, and the like, for the developing body. Fish and sea foods, or the shell foods may be used at the same meal.
21. At all times the body should drink PLENTY of MILK! For this particular body, the dried milk or malted milks will be better than cows' milk; for they will balance better with a developing system and supply more of the vitamins necessary for the replenishing of those forces within the system, through the glandular activities of the body that have been depleted by the activity of this parasite - or this FORM of parasite in the system.
22. With these activities, we will find that for those of specific conditions it may be necessary:
23. For the nails, where there is indication of the softening or where the shaping of the shoe has produced ingrowing nails - or where hangnails have been produced on the hands, we would use any antiseptic on small pieces of cotton that may RAISE these portions so as to prevent infection - see? Small quantity as of Atomidine, or of ANY antiseptic that is HEALING, though carries not a great deal
308-1 Page 4
of therapeutic value in its activity.
24. A gargle for the throat will relieve the inflammation in the tonsils and the adenoid area; as will the Dobell's solution - or Dobell's rinse, which is made with equal parts of salt, soda, saleratus or such - warm - snuffed, or used in spray in the nostril and antrum area.
25. This will prevent the necessity at this time (unless cold or congestion arises from same) for an operation of ANY nature; neither through the intestinal tract nor through the throat, nor any other portion of the body.
26. Do that.
27. Ready questions.
28. (Q) What treatment will cure her granulated eyelid? (A) We have given enough treatment to cure all of these things that are secondary activities in the body! This is produced from improper flow of circulation, which is hindered to this portion of the body by the pressures in throat and in those portions of the body that supply the proper eliminations through the circulation.
29. (Q) Has the bump on her head from automobile accident last year caused any serious effect? (A) None as we find. Do as we have outlined. See, for the day - before this is begun - the principal diet would be a little coffee or a little tea, and GREEN cabbage! that one day! Then begin with those other properties.
