1. GC: You will have before you the bodies and the enquiring minds of Rev. [5473] and his wife, Mrs. [310], of ..., Ala., and the conditions surrounding these bodies - and you will answer the questions I will ask you regarding same, and give them advice that will help them at this time.
2. EC: We have the bodies, the enquiring minds, [5473] and Mrs. [310]. These bodies we have had before. We have also their enquiring minds and those conditions as surround same. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) State cause of trouble and remedy for same. (A) There are many conditions as enter in that have produced animosity and conditions that have become of an unpleasant nature. These are produced much by the activities of the body as respecting others outside the individual congregation as is ministered to by these bodies, and is more of jealousy and animosity than of any other causes. When such conditions surround efforts of this nature and character, in which these bodies are engaged, there is necessarily engendered by and through such conditions much that is not in keeping with that the body presents and represents. This, then, causes, has caused, and will continue to cause, much unpleasantness and dissension. While there is needed by many in this congregation, many in the surrounding country, the desire that the body continue to minister - and those that need the efforts and abilities of these; yet there will come the time when the bodies would find that there was not the appreciation of the efforts of the body and EVIL be spoken - as HAS been, of the efforts, because of jealous conditions, of animosity arising in the hearts of those that are in the position of being the leaders, of the officers, of this particular work.
Then, while there are many reasons why there should NOT be changes - yet there are MORE reasons FOR changes, with such conditions having arisen. While some would say such conditions may be overcome, with the knowledge of self doing

that as is correct and in keeping with the tenets of Him whom these, as individuals, present and represent among a peoples that are far from the correct conception of the teachings of the Master - yet there is the necessity in each individual's acting in a manner that is DEVELOPMENT for self as WELL as for those they would minister to. And, as has been said of old, there oft arises in the lives of individuals that position even as the Father gave to those peoples whom He called to be the channel through which the representative, the Son, should come - "I will not always wink at the sins and shortcomings of this wicked and adulterous generation [Mat. 16:4] [Acts 17:30] [Gen. 6:3], but will raise up another [Zech. 11:16], that mine purpose may be carried in the way as I have given [Ezra 1:1]."
So here, under the conditions, while in the position where the life may be used to the service of Him whom the body presents, and whom the body follows - then WELL that changes be brought in the life for the GOOD of self and FOR THOSE whom the body here ministers to. While many hearts will be sad, many lives will be undone, yet that as has been sown by precept and example in the lives of these that would moan will grow and blossom into lives of usefulness in MANY directions on account of the life spent in administering and ministering to the needs of those in THIS place! Then, not wholly in a material way nor material sense - but gather with those that would make use in the SPIRITUAL way of the business abilities of the body, and in those fields of those channels that will come to the body through the ministering of the self to those that the body contacts in such channels, and in those weak congregations and those weak peoples in these fields will the body make for self again that channel for GREATER blessings to a GREATER NUMBER of individuals, and to a more appreciative condition and peoples. Do THAT, then.
4. (Q) When would it be best to make this change? (A) Whenever the congregation or the officers see fit to loosen the obligations of the services of these bodies. Or there may be the obligations made or contracted for in other fields, and a definite date set for same. For he that ministers, ministers to those that will APPLY that instruction given, in the lives and hearts of the appreciative ones; ones seeking to KNOW the light, not one seeking to find fault with the manner of ministry.
5. (Q) Where and along what lines could Mr. [5473] do his best work? (A) Along the lines as has been given. In those fields

where the groups or congregation are weak. Associated with those who appreciate the abilities OF the body in the material and FINANCIAL sense of the body's labors.
6. (Q) Would it be best for the ... church for Mr. [5473] to give up work here? (A) As has been given, there would be MANY that would be broken up. As a whole, for self and for the conditions as surround the labors here, it would be BEST. Just as has been seen, in how in a little, underhand, mean, depreciable, despicable manner, some have sought to embarrass both of these bodies in their labors. This can only engender bitterness, dissension, in the hearts and minds of those that DO such, and while the body's activity might be considered that the bodies that do such were capable of putting the servant of the Most High to flight, this is NOT the case. REMEMBER that as has been given. Remember the ensamples of thy Master, how that "Though He were the Son, yet learned He obedience through the things which He suffered [Heb.5:8]", and those that had cause to be the most appreciative said, did, acted in the littlest, the meanest, manners - yet He did NOT even contend nor condemn such.
7. (Q) Name writers of anonymous letters received twice - one time by Mr. [5473], later by Dr. [...]. Why written? (A) Smallness and meanness of purpose. By that one whom the body OFTEN assisted, and whom the body knows well. We are through.
