1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [310], at her home, ..., Alabama, and all phases of her life. You will give this entity advice and counsel that will be of help at this time, and answer the questions which we will ask you as to the best steps for her to take to prepare herself for the most usefulness to others and at the same time obtain a livelihood.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [310]. In considering conditions, circumstances, environs, much might be said pro and con respecting the manner in which the body might give itself in service. Many conditions, however, should be considered. There should, for the betterment of the body's welfare, physical AND mental, be CHANGES made in the surroundings and the environs. There are many conditions that would warrant same in the present surroundings. While there are many conditions that would warrant the body remaining in and among those loved ones there, yet with the changes as must gradually come with the variations in individual temperaments, in the variations as must come with the changing of conditions, these would be the greater causes for the body to CHANGE same - for the peace of mind, for the conditions as make for the giving of self in service.
3. These, then, we would find, would be better in the State work, and in those same character of channel, or channels, that the body has labored in. Not at once change, but with the coming of the new year - the springtime - these changes may be best made. Not that the body would falter in any of ITS duties to others, but in the great service as has been set by self - THIS, we find, the channel. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) What phase of work? What preparation, and where should this be gained? (A) In the phases of young peoples' work of the Sunday School, Church, and the like. The preparations have long been made. The contacts, or the expression of desire to

those in charge of that department of the work - PRINCIPALLY under the State, or National Women's Board - THESE would be the channels - these, we find, would be the greater aid in the body's endeavors.
5. (Q) Should she take a business course in ...? (A) Only as might be helpful in this field of work.
6. (Q) Is there anything she should do at present towards obtaining a place of this kind? (A) Let it be known through those channels that are in accord with good business, good judgment. There are many, of course, that will aid, and now is the time to let it be known, that in that period - when the expansion, or the work in the spring work is begun - that would be the one the body would engage in.
7. (Q) Should she keep the house in ...? (A) Only until the time when the change would be made; or, it may be KEPT, if SO DESIRED, but - as WE find - headquarters or location would better be either in the HOME town or in the larger places, see?
8. (Q) For the present what should she do to make any part of expenses within her home? (A) That of the aid to others in the way or manner of rooms, boards, or the like.
9. (Q) What possibilities may be in ..., staying in her home, with its present equipment? (A) This would only be a temporary arrangement, to be sure - and, for the greater possibilities - these, of course, would open channels that will bring - as the body is being warned of - conditions, surroundings, the variations in temperamental forces as of individuals, that would make some UNPLEASANTNESS arising that would be HURTING.
10. (Q) Should the body try compiling her husband's sermons, notes, into book form? If so, give any helpful details pertaining to this. (A) This may be done in a manner as would be MOST helpful to a great many people. This would be laborious to the body, yet would be a work of love - and while much time and much thought would be given to same, the outcome would be a par for the time and the expense; that is, in compiling same for DISTRIBUTION. As for compiling same for the assistance and aid this would give in the general work in the years to come, be MOST helpful, most beneficial.
11. (Q) Such time as she remains in ..., should she arrange for some woman to be with her? (A) Would be better.
12. (Q) If so, who would be best? (A) Those closest to the body in thought and in

association. Those that have been, or one of those that have been with the body.
13. (Q) Should the body invest her funds with Home & Trust Co., Nashville, Tenn.? (A) Very good.
14. (Q) Give suggestions for getting the insurance for which policy (with Metropolitan Ins. Co. of N.Y.) was written on Sat. before her husband left ... on July 5th, but never delivered? (A) This will hardly be possible to collect same, though - through the influence of those as called for same - same may be made of effect - but WE would NOT collect same.
15. (Q) Give suggestions for collecting from the health and accident policies (Ministers' Casualty Union, Minneapolis, Minn.) (2 policies), and Church Members' Relief Ass'n, Indianapolis, Ind. (A) These only need that the proper forms, as are given by these associations, be filed in their proper form and manner. These will necessitate the signatures of those in charge, or caring for the body during those periods.
16. (Q) Give any other advice or counsel that will be of help to this body at this time in any way. (A) Keep in that same prayerful mood manner of living, and all will - in its proper time, proper order - be in the way as is desired and hoped for; and the body may be very sure the strength in its might of that loved one will walk ever with the body.
