1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [311], present in this room, and you will answer the questions which he will ask regarding his mental and material affairs.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [311] - this we have had before. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Have conditions changed so it can be definitely said when I will leave the employ of the ... Railroad? (A) As conditions in the present, unless there are changes that might arise in the conditions surrounding the body's efforts, this has not changed from the time as has been indicated; that there were other lines and other associations that would, or could, develop to where - AND where - the body and its mental forces and abilities could be, would be, more developing, more service to others, in other channels. These have not as yet taken on the import as would justify the body in changing in the present, but - as we find - will those lines along the studies that have long been contemplated by the body materialize, with those associations and developments that are apparent - by the end of the present year, or latter part of same, changes may be that this would be a plausible, a reasonable change for the body. In some other directions, where there has been some partial negotiations or considerations, these - as we find - while they offer a channel of expression that would be well to consider, yet more stable conditions in this connection and relation would be well before contemplated changes; or, as there are those changes in the associations of the ... [R.R.] and the absorption of offices of same apparent with those connections that may be made, or as has been contemplated with other associations and connections, these would be well - are these carried in that line; yet, as we find, the greater DEVELOPMENT for the body, for the mental forces, for the mental abilities of the body, would be in those of the psychic - or of the KINDRED subjects, more in

the Theosophical and the esoteric studies, that may be in line WITH those associations and developments that are in line with the desires, innate feelings, innate expressions of the entity and body.
4. (Q) Is the prediction correct that I will leave it this summer and go to an Ohio city? (A) Are there the finished or the completion of those changes that have been contemplated for times, these would be well, as just been given - but in the one that relates to that in another line, or another association, be mindful that these are more stable than they are in the present.
5. (Q) What city will I go to? (A) Are the changes carried forward as they are contemplated in the present, it would be in Newark - or in those kindred or associate cities in same.
6. (Q) What kind of work will I engage in? (A) This, as has been given, depends upon many changes that are to come, as to whether these would be carried forward AT ALL or not! for these are of a twofold nature. One depends upon the combinations of those kindred associations of the lines and class of work in which the body is at present engaged, but would be with the expansion of the same class or field of work, or definitely located in a place that handles a great deal of those same characters of work as the body is at present engaged. The other would depend upon changing entirely from the field of endeavor, but in the NATURE of same a kindred work or labor. The other depends upon the expansion of those fields of endeavor in which the body-consciousness, the body innately, has long been interested in. Hence these are all questions, and a question mark may be put after each.
7. (Q) Have I made the contacts yet that will lead up to this position? (A) Either of the three, yes - depends upon developments, depends upon economical conditions, depends upon the changes that would be necessary to bring the one or the other into the lead, or light, for the entity's endeavors.
8. (Q) Give an outline of my life for the next five years, where I will be, what I will do and if I will continue to be actively associated with Mr. Cayce and the Association. (A) As has been indicated, these would depend entirely upon what is now - or ordinarily - termed circumstances. As we find, the greater portion of same, as to the associations or connections with the Association with which Cayce is identified, depends upon the desire or the wish of the entity itself. As to the variations in the next three to five years, these depend upon a great MANY circumstances as

may arise within that time. Are there to be changes, then, IN the affairs not only of the entity but as pertaining to many of the circumstances and conditions that may arise in the change of the earth in ITS activity, these may call for the activities of the body in directions which are entirely OUT of line with any of these - but it would be well to stay in association with those that bespeak of the CLOSER association with the spiritual forces.
9. (Q) Will I continue to be actively associated with Mr. [943], if so where and in what capacity? (A) That depends altogether upon circumstances and changes. As WE find, there are two lines in which there may be made for a CLOSER association, or one field in which there may be an entire separation of endeavors, thought or associations. These depend upon influences over which the body [311] itself has NO influence, save as that of the ABILITIES INNATELY, as has been given, that are held - or are his by possession, by having been builded. In these connections, so MANY things ALTER conditions. Nothing is SET, save that the laws compiled with bring one way; these shunned or partially taken bring another, and so on. [See amplification 4/9/32 under 311-8, Par. 14-A.]
10. (Q) Do I have the ability to write and if so what particular form of literature? (A) There has been the indication that there are abilities innate with the body that have not been put into PRACTICAL service, or use. Those as would act as the lesson, or guide for others in given directions, would be the manner of writing, or of ANY of such data that would be put INTO the form of lessons, or form of literature that would DIRECT another in THEIR developments; either in those that pertain to the use of latent forces within themselves or the DEVELOPING of same. These fields are the entity's way of expressions in this field.
11. (Q) Have I not sufficiently learned the necessary lessons in my business environment and would it be best for me to change the environment by proper use of the forces or let events take their course? (A) These depend, to be sure, upon that as is set by the entity as to that goal that may - or desired to - be reached by the body itself, and WHAT is set as the ideal that would be the standard by which the entity would lead, direct, or guide and guard self. In changing, these are well - but the practicability of same in the present surroundings and circumstances, and conditions that have been builded, would in the PRESENT be

undeterminate by the body itself. These once set as to the practical channel, the practical manner, the practical way, then such changes will be well - but there are the necessary developments for those various things that should come to MAKE such changes, as the proper way and manner through which the entity should guide and direct others, or aid others in their developing way. [See 311-8, Par. 15-A, 16-A.]
12. (Q) Who is giving this information? (A) There has been given that one who seeks to aid in directing. Demetrius.
13. (Q) Why have I had the feeling of being deserted by the forces during the last several weeks when I feel that the troublesome and degrading experiences I have had are perhaps a part of the knowledge necessary to strengthen me for the future? (A) Those contacts that have brought turmoils are not in accord with those lessons, or those developments, that Demetrius - or SELF - has chosen! Then, as comes with all tests that are necessary for the changing or developing of self, these then arise. In the FORM of those that appear to be in direct disobedience to that as has been set as divine law. Understood?
14. (Q) Will my financial condition get appreciably better during 1932, and how? (A) As we find, these depend upon much of the efforts of the body. Are they let run in the manner in which the directions have been at times determined by self; that is, the more recently, they'll not get very much farther than at present! but are they - when and with those of the necessary usage of those things as has been given - Let's turn back the page for the moment: As has been given, there lies within the entity those abilities to use those forces that are innate in individuals that are called psychic, or higher influences, that the entity may use in a MATERIAL way and manner; but are these crossed to the way that these are looked for FIRST - the materials, the exchange of material forces, or finances, rather than the true meaning of that the financial, the social, the material, the moral conditions are BUILDED - and the others are coming FROM same - see? As was given to him of old, "That THOU hast chosen understanding and wisdom rather than position, power, wealth, wisdom will be GIVEN thee - but so will those of wealth, power, position - so that it may be said, never before - not will there be after - one equaling that chosen by thee." [1 Kings 3:11--14] Hence, as is applicable in each individual's life, especially so in this body - where those influences are the heritage of that as has been

builded through the ages in the innate forces, in the soul. Then, do not let this become tarnished by the thoughts of the secular things. Rather that UNDERSTANDING; not knowledge alone, for knowledge alone makes one mad; but UNDERSTANDING gives that ability to so apply that in hand, that known, that the others are the fruits of same. Let thy financial position be the fruits rather of a life, and that activity, spent in the service of thy fellow man.
15. (Q) Shall I make application to the Atlantic Coast Line R.R., for a position as I have been contemplating? (A) Are there carried through those combinations with the one already in hand, better that these applications be in line with those changes - than altering to ones where the years of service do not count so well for same, see?
16. (Q) Have I much bad karma to work out in this life? (A) KARMA is rarely understood, in "being WORKED OUT." There is, has been prepared, a way in which karma - as ordinarily known - may be forgiven thee. There are constantly those necessary temptations being presented before each soul, each individual, each developing force in God's own nature; that, are these left upon those Forces, or to those Forces rather than to self, there is LITTLE to be feared in that that would beset.
17. (Q) Are there to be railroad combinations or mergers during 1932, and will ... R.R. be in any of these? (A) The contemplation is that these will be presented in the early portion of the summer, and with these changes coming - then the Van Sweringen lines, that would make for the entity's change to the Ohio field in this direction, would come about. Whether these are to be consummated in the presidential year, is a wonder - yet, as we find, these will be pressed in the early summer, and in August should find some determined answer in same.
