Time of Reading 4:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body & enquiring mind - Questions on mental and material affairs)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [311] - this we have had before.

2. As we find, there will apparently be an offer of a change in the mental and material associations of the body. These in line with the work already engaged in, on the one hand - and on another as something that will be different in the associations with individuals.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) How long before that change will come, or offer? (A) In the next sixty to ninety days.

5. (Q) What immediate effect will the receivership for ... R.R. have upon me? (A) We do not find there being any immediate change in the association in this direction. These changes appear to have come from other channels in the same line or associations, that lead to connections or associations in other channels.

6. (Q) Will that change take me to Newark, Ohio? (A) That depends upon which of the offers is accepted by the body. In these relations, as we find, the one would take the body rather to the national capitol; the other would be to the middle west, or the central portion of the country. Newark, Ohio - this is in a change in some manner.

7. (Q) What company is going to offer the place in Washington? (A) Seems with the Southern Railroad.

8. (Q) Is the Southern Railroad going to take over the ... R.R.? (A) Either between the Southern, or Pennsylvania with the Southern.

9. (Q) When will that be accomplished? (A) In the readjustments. The actual change, if this is to come about, will be in January or February.

10. (Q) Are the Van Sweringen interests still contemplating taking over the ... R.R.? (A) These have been hindered in some of their negotiations,

311-9 Page 2

by those rejections of some lines that are not in line with these changes. These, of course, are still being considered; yet - as we find - rather will these be given to either the association of the Pennsylvania and Southern, or will be coordinated with the activities of the east and west roads.

11. (Q) Will the offer to go to Washington come within the next ninety days? (A) It will be pretty well aired in the next ninety days!

12. (Q) Who is going to offer me that place? What individual? (A) See, this is of the central offices of these lines - this particular line. With the negotiations that have been under consideration for some time, with an interchange with Pennsylvanian, with the Southern as outlet through this particular portion of the territory and to the others, these will come - as an offer - for that in the particular line of endeavor in association with the railroad, and the superintendant of that portion of the operations.

13. (Q) Will it be the same kind of work I'm doing at present? (A) Same CHARACTER, yes.

14. (Q) What company is going to offer a place in the middle west? (A) Something with rubbers in it!

15. (Q) Has the contact been made leading towards this yet? (A) As we find, it has - but it seems someone from Norwich, Ohio has something to do with it.

16. (Q) Can you give his name? (A) No - one will find Norwich - is entering it!

17. (Q) Will this offer be made within the next ninety days? (A) It will be crystallized into the place where the offer may be asked for, accepted or rejected in that period.

18. (Q) What about the other changes mentioned which would make for my greater development? (A) These are on the way. Just don't be over anxious, and keep on working on. These will be on the way.

19. (Q) Will these develop so that I can make this change before making the other changes mentioned? (A) As we find, these would apparently be just preceding these changes. Not that they interfere, but there is the overlap - or the intermediate stage for these developments.

20. (Q) Am I to understand that all these changes are entirely beyond my control at present and depend on circumstances entirely? (A) Most of these are entirely beyond control; that is, beyond perceptible control, but the activities of the body - and that attitude which may be had by the body in the various associations and connections - to be sure, would

311-9 Page 3

have much to do with the offer, or the changes as the conditions develop - see?

21. (Q) What can I do to bring about changes which will allow me to direct my energies into and give full time to work of a psychic nature? (A) These, as we find, will require the necessity of some expansion in psychic fields, that are themselves - as it were - on the way, where there will be sufficient interest concentrated in the directing of some particular forces which are in the field, that will give an opportunity for the activities in this direction. These, as we find, should occur, GIVING the opportunity, within the next two to three years.

22. (Q) Explain what is meant by understanding the law before attempting to secure information, through psychic sources, as to dealing in stocks. (A) These, as we find, are in many ways and manners of such natures that they give improper concept of valuations in their relations to individual activities. As this: As is seen in the present (this as an illustration), there is being formed a syndicate for the purchase of stocks in the various rails. If this is made possible, it will produce then a specific rise in those included in this group. These will make then for a general rise in all of utility conditions or propositions, but individual activities would make for those periods of flurry, or fluctuation, that - without understanding what causes or produces same - would make for such information to be more than problematical; unless an individual so changing was following same almost hour by hour - see? Hence, as is seen, when such conditions produce such activities that make for the close following of same through such channels, these become more often detrimental - unless a GENERAL condition is followed, and a GENERAL outlook considered only; for variations must occur, unless activities are followed very closely; for, as has been said - and as given here - the higher forces, or God Himself knows not what a man may do with his own will from day to day!

23. (Q) Which one of the offers mentioned should I take? (A) This, as we find, offers then this problem, in considering these: Are there to be the definite changes that would allow the body and its efforts to be directed in channels that are of more an AGREEABLE nature, then accept that one that would cause the less disturbance in the activities and associations. These, as we find, would lead rather to that as has to do with something in Norwich, Ohio.

24. (Q) Which one of the following stocks should I buy for

311-9 Page 4

the quickest and most profit? Hudson Motor, Kelvinator, P. Lorillard, Socony-Vacuum, Zonite, Cities Service, Pennsylvania R.R., Pure Oil, North American Trust Shares, American Agricultural Chemical Co. of Delaware. (A) Cities Service offers the quickest at the present time. If there is the carrying out of the forming of the pool in the rails, Pennsylvania in this particular line will offer an excellent opportunity. This should begin by the fifteenth of the present month, and if the advance of the fifteenth is two points, or as much as that, then buy that.

25. (Q) How about North American Trust Shares? (A) These are very good, but due for a certain change in the wrong direction if you are buying it!

26. (Q) How about Kelvinator? (A) Kelvinator is good, but going to prove slower from this on.

27. (Q) How about American Agricultural Chemical Co. of Delaware? (A) This is very good, but the alterations or changes are too sudden, until there is better stabilization.

28. (Q) Will the present rise in the stock market continue for the balance of this year? (A) Continue at least until the latter part of October. Look for a great deal of changes, of course, in October.

29. (Q) For the better? (A) For the better. These conditions in these are rather unprecedent, for as at present there is seen when there is usually the summer slump the conditions have risen as a general market to at least that of the rise that is ordinarily looked for in April. They stand about the same par at the present, see?

30. (Q) Is this the beginning of the end of the business depression? (A) The beginning of the end of the business depression began, in actuality, about the twenty-fifth of May.

31. (Q) Will all three offers come about the same time? (A) Near about the same time. There will be sufficient knowledge of the others, when these begin to come - see?

32. (Q) Are there to be physical changes in the earth's surface in Alabama? (A) Not for some period yet.

33. (Q) When will the changes begin? (A) Thirty-six to thirty-eight.

34. (Q) What part of the State will be affected? (A) The northwestern part, and the extreme southwestern part. [8/13/41 See 1152-11, Par. 20-A in re Great Lakes, Miss. R. & Gulf.]

35. (Q) Is there any further advice for me at this time? (A) As has been given, there are those usages of the

311-9 Page 5

knowledge that is within self's own activity, that may be put to advantage so that it is not used in DESTRUCTIVE manners - that is, in forcing issues, but rather assist those offers that may come THROUGH the usages of these to be put in terms that would be satisfactory to the body. Do that.

36. (Q) Will I have a better opportunity for doing that in Norwich? (A) In Norwich.
