Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body & enquiring mind, questions as to mental & material affairs)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [311], and those conditions that surround the body; many of these we have had before. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) What can I do to bring about a change for the better in my business connections as soon as possible? (A) As we find, there may be, in the present associations, those connections made through the regular channels of such associations with those in authority, in the office of the Southern Railroad in Washington, that may bring about better associations from the material and from the mental standpoint of developments for the body in the present experience. There may be those associations or connections from a different nature or character, in the teachers or ministers from Norwalk, Ohio, that would - in this direction make for some very pleasant, enlightening, and some very satisfactory associations and connections. However, from the present attitude, we would suggest rather the former associations at the present.
3. (Q) How long before the change to Washington would come about? (A) In the late spring or middle summer.
4. (Q) How long before the change to Norwalk would be offered? (A) That would depend somewhat upon some activities on the part of the body itself, as to the associations or connections. But not before fall, from the present circumstances and conditions that surround the body.
5. (Q) In what line of work will I be engaged with the Southern in Washington? (A) That would depend somewhat upon the approach to these associations and connections. While there have been some considerations on the part of those in authority, in the solicitation or commercial field, with the body, there are
311-11 Page 2
also those considerations that may be given in some other branch of the operations. As in charge of offices, or in another channel of the activities of the road.
6. (Q) Is it time for me to take steps that will bring about a change in occupation and environment that will enable me to work toward my ideal and purpose in life? (A) As intimated from that just given, rather would we make for an advancement in the present, and under the present conditions and situations throughout the environs for the body, in the same line for the present. And with these changes may come the greater opportunities for the expansion in those lines, fields and associations that may be indicated for a change.
7. (Q) Is there any possibility of this change being made now? (A) There 's always the possibility, especially with the great amount of thought, purpose and aim being carried on in these varied fields of activity. Yet the possibilities, with the considerations that exist about the body in the present, we do not find in the immediate future.
8. (Q) Please tell me definitely what steps I shall take to bring about this change. (A) The change as to the fields of operations in the same line, take definite steps immediately. The change as to the change of the environment, or the field of labors or endeavors, we would not take definite steps; save in so far as we have suggested, as to the preparation or study in the various fields of activity in which the body is interested.
9. (Q) What steps shall I take immediately? (A) In making the applications, or the connections and associations, through those channels through which such appointments or such calls may come.
10. (Q) Who should the approach be made through? (A) Those associations and connections in the home office in Washington.
11. (Q) Of the Southern Railroad? (A) Of the Southern Railroad.
12. (Q) In what department? (A) The department should be chose, as we have suggested; but in the line, preferably, in which the body has been the more recently - and is - engaged.
13. (Q) That would be the Traffic Department? (A) Through the Traffic Department.
14. (Q) What is the nature of the change in Norwalk?
311-11 Page 3
(A) In those of rather the psychic or spiritualistic fields of endeavor.
15. (Q) Is it best not to take any steps to make connections there now? (A) As suggested, considering all conditions that surround the body, also that advancement which will come through he meditating, reading and association, and the greater field of activity that would come through an advancement in association in the present field, we do not think it would be advisable to consider that at the present time.
16. (Q) What is the name of the association in Norwalk? (A) In that of a combination, which lies between those of the spiritualistic and those of the greater or advanced field of thought. Advanced Thought is what is termed in the present.
17. (Q) Is this organization in existence now? (A) In its formation, yes.
18. (Q) Is Advanced Thought the name of the organization? (A) Advanced Thought name of the organization.
19. (Q) Have I not sufficiently learned the necessary lessons in my present environment and what can I do now to change this environment to one where I will be happier and better satisfied mentally, materially and spiritually? (A) Through those changes in connections and associations there will be made a larger field of activity; yet making for a closer association with connections in those fields of activity in which the mental efficiency of the body itself is so interested.
20. (Q) What conditions do you see that will affect me of which I have no knowledge, that may directly affect me in relation to my occupation and environment. (A) We do not see other than that which may come through the efforts on the part of the body, in connections with others that would make for change of environs. True, while there is at the present time consideration on the part of those in powers or controls consolidations of activities in some portions of those operations of the filed in which the body-mind is engaged in the present, yet this is the period when - with the abilities mentally and spiritually that the body possesses, for the use or application of those significant conditions within the experience of the body - there should be made the change, or the applications for change, and use same in obtaining same - see?
21. (Q) The following question was asked in a recent reading, "If I stay with the ... R.R. during 1933 will I be
311-11 Page 4
offered any further promotion?" Will you kindly give a more definite answer to this? (A) As we find, if the efforts in the present are continued with the present association, there will - in the latter portion of the present year - be offered some advancement in the present association. But, for the considerations of the necessary change for the accomplishing of those things most desired in the mental abilities and efficiencies of the body, changes into other fields would make (or into the same field, but in other associations and connections) for a QUICKER advancement for the body.
22. (Q) Why have none of the changes in my mental and material affairs come to pass as predicted in reading of Aug. 6th and Nov. 19th, 1932? (A) The general changes that have come in the general affairs. Because these have been delayed does not mean that they are not coming! For, while conditions may be presented from time to time (as time is called), there are necessary alterations in these from the change of many attitudes; or many conditions that arise that make for DELAYS - as would be called - in their coming to pass in the immediate, see?
23. (Q) Why have some of the answers to my questions in recent readings been so vague and indefinite at to be meaningless to me? (A) Lack of understanding in the light of the vision the body mentally, on that particular field of light, is in at the time - see? But, as there are those gradual - awakenings in the various fields of activities and endeavors, we will find these will come to mean more and more. For, mentally - in every individual (and that includes this entity, this body) - the mental is that which is made manifest of the universal influence in an entity's experience. And with application becomes less and less vague, and more and more definite - see?
24. (Q) Why have so many of the answers to questions in my recent readings, as well as the predictions made turned out to be seemingly inaccurate? (A) As just given. Lack of vision to make them to coordinate with the actual or mental conditions that exist; or as seen from this plane.
311-11 Page 5
25. (Q) Is the change mentioned as being more in line with my mental desires still indeterminate by me or can I actively assist it to come and how may this be done? (A) As the question is presented, this would make the same character of answer that HAS been given - see? But, as we find, to set this as the determining factor: If there are the efforts made in the direction of material change in environ, in association, in connection; and if there are used those abilities innate and active within self to bring same ABOUT; these will make for DEFINITE answers to much that has disturbed the body in this direction. And bring about associations and connections in the field or mental study (which is entirely now WITHOUT the realm of the commercial world, see?) that would make for very great change in the ACTIVITY of the body in that field of activity, see? As related to self, as related to others, as related to the future activities of the body. Hence, for changes there must be, of course, that activity and that acted upon. Don't do one and then sit down and wait for the other! Both must be active, see?
26. (Q) What is the outlook for the ... Railroad now? (A) To be eventually absorbed or given direction under the supervision of combined efforts in those fields that have been oft a question as to their spreading - see? But this will be determined, or course, by the activity of the Pennsylvania with those of Norfolk Western, as with some Southern line.
