Time of Reading ... Avenue, 11:30 to 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time. N.Y.C, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion - questions on mental and material affairs)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [312].
2. Now, as we find in the physical forces of the body, these are very good in most respects.
3. While the body-physical is functioning near normal in many ways, there are those impulses and tendencies that if they are considered in the present and corrected would prevent some conditions arising that would hinder and disturb the better equilibrium of the physical forces of the body.
4. These, then, are the conditions physical that we find with this body, [312] we are speaking of, present in this room:
5. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, this is very good; save there is a tendency for the metabolism to be disturbed at times. This does not occur at all times, and is then a production of certain conditions that we shall find existent in the general functioning of the system.
6. So, as under some periods the normal pressure would exist; while in others there is exhibited some irregularity, caused by other than just the changes of the mental attitude of the body, though the heart's action is NOT organically disturbed.
7. In the NERVE FORCES of the body, these are very good in most respects.
8. There exists those conditions in the 4th and 5th dorsal area that with the correction of same would alleviate those disturbances that sympathetically occur in the circulation through the antrum, face and soft tissue of the body, that makes for the accumulations that produce some poisons in the circulation; that, with a disturbance in the colon, produces the abnormal - or irregularity at times in the - metabolism of the system.
312-1 Page 2
9. This is not a true lesion, but rather an impingement that produces that form of disturbance in the NERVE circulation, sympathetically slowing through throat and the frontal or superficial circulation of head and neck.
10. As to the functioning of the ORGANS THEMSELVES, these - as we find - are very good throughout.
11. There are good disseminations, good equilibrium in the flow of impulse from the sensory system through the brain's reaction to all portions of the body; and the body is capable then of forcing self in many issues that arise in the mental, as well as physical aspects of relationships.
12. In the organs of the sensory system, as in throat and head, we find disturbances as indicated from a slowed impulse in superficial rather than the deep or central circulation.
13. Hence the conditions exist in the muco-membranes of soft tissue in face and throat at times, producing accumulations that are not always eliminated properly through their various channels.
14. Lungs, bronchi, larynx - are good.
15. Heart's action - as indicated, no organic disturbance.
16. Digestive system shows that there are periods when there are disturbances, specifically in the lower portion of eliminations as related to the alimentary canal.
17. Spleen, pancreas, liver - show these tendencies at times, though organically all are in that position where they may function normally under the proper impulse.
18. In the ascending colon do we find those indications that make for the accumulations, that - with those pressures in the upper dorsal area, and with an excess of the poisons accumulating in the blood supply - make for disturbance for the body.
19. These are, as given, MINOR in the present situation; though they may be easily removed in the present and would prevent or keep from causing greater distress later on.
20. Then we would, for those disturbances in the alimentary canal, as related to the organs of digestion and of assimilation, use those properties that have little therapeutic effect upon the organs themselves but are specifics as to the ability to supply to the nutriment of the alimentary canal without disturbing the equilibrium in the system.
21. Take, then, for periods of three to four days, those properties combined in agar and Russian white oil with psyllium jelly (commonly called Emul-Psyllo).
22. These will make for sufficient of the weight and lubrication to the general system, as to cleanse same.
312-1 Page 3
23. We would also use specific exercise and adjustments for the upper dorsal area, as indicated, to alleviate pressures in the area.
24. Then we would have rest periods, and then we would have treatment or application periods again.
25. And we will find that we will rid this tendency to at times feel sluggish and heavy after meals, or after the rest periods that should have made for the recuperative forces but caused the tired feeling.
26. Do this.
27. Ready for questions.
28. (Q) How long should elapse between periods of treatment? (A) Five to seven days.
29. (Q) Should the adjustments be made osteopathically or chiropractically? (A) Preferably, these should be made osteopathically; for not only would specific adjustments be made but the coordinating of muscular forces throughout the system would be relaxed or tauted as necessary under such treatments. There would not be required a great many.
30. (Q) What exercise should the body take? (A) Especially the morning exercise should be for the rejuvenating of all forces above the waistline; as of arms, bending, head and neck exercise. A few minutes of such exercise would add a great deal to the comfort, and make adjustments for the body.
31. (Q) Why is it that I can't speak above a whisper in crowds? (A) The general feeling of depression that comes from the imaginative forces, of the pressures in system. That's hardly explanatory to the body; but rather as this, then - here: We have a pressure existent in the cerebrospinal system, that - as indicated - sympathetically functions with the sensory system or the expressions of the mental body through the physical being. With such over-pressure that comes from the thought and activity of crowds, there is produced to the sensory system - that may act through the organs of the vocal box itself - repression, see? The removal of this pressure, then exercising the regenerated forces WITH the removal of pressure, would naturally overcome such a tendency.
32. (Q) Why do I become so tired when reading? (A) The activity of the general circulation as to the head;
312-1 Page 4
that is, exercises through the superficial activity in the very act itself makes for more weariness to the body than a great deal of physical activity with the hands or of speaking to individuals! for the exercise itself relieves the pressure, that is centered when there is the centralization of the activity through the sensory forces or the eyes themselves.
33. (Q) What is the trouble with my neck? (A) Only those necessary relieving of pressures in the upper dorsal area, and the head and neck exercises; that is, the circular, the back, the forward, the side, the rotary motion. These will relieve the tendency for HOLDING, as it were, those cross-sections - from the pressure in the upper dorsal area - see?
34. (Q) With my throat? (A) Superficial circulation, disturbing the muco-membrane activity. Sympathetic, rather than specific, as indicated; yet making for those disturbances through the superficial circulation - which is that called the capillary and the exterior or the RETURN circulation, see, that goes through the arteries, then into the veins. The vein is the superficial. Then there becomes the tendency for the stiffness or fullness in this, as it makes for INTERNAL; that is, in the throat, antrum, soft tissue of face, accumulations. The circulation doesn't get away fast enough. It is the same way with the exercising of the brain, in sitting down and reading. If the body moves about and is active it doesn't grow near as tired as when resting, reading or CONCENTRATING. The CIRCULATION doesn't get away fast enough!
35. (Q) Regarding mental and material affairs: Am I headed towards business success? (A) This would naturally require (in answering this question) the analysis of many of the interests of the body physically and mentally. The policies that are taken by the body (which are as a portion of the success or failure that must come to everyone who makes the venture into life's activities) are well, see? And, unless there comes those periods of too great a trust in those that may be questioned as to THEIR policies or THEIR activities, we would say that the body is headed towards material success.
36. (Q) Shall I continue my present work? (A) It would be indicated from that just given that this
312-1 Page 5
would be well; taking those precautions, however. Not as distrust, to be sure; but knowing that those with whom the body associates, and with whom the body has obligations and trusts as to their fulfilling of obligations, are INWARDLY, or MENTALLY at least, policied in the same direction as self!
37. (Q) Are we doing our best to further our daughter Beulah's work? (A) This, as we find, as indicated from the general policy, attitude and aptitude of the body, naturally takes into consideration the activities of others in this direction. Yet the manner in which these efforts are directed is well. It would be well that there be stressed this as a truth, in the developing of the mental abilities of this body, the daughter, to be sure: That the Mental is the Builder; for it, the mental, is - when impulsed from the spiritual forces of the Creative Energies. Or, to put as given of old: Seek first the kingdom within; then those necessary of the material forces will be added in their proper relationships to the abilities of the body.
38. (Q) Am I doing the proper actions with my family at home? (A) This must be answered ever from within self. There is ever set before every soul, every entity, that which is the ideal relationship with those dependent upon, those cooperating with, those the body itself or soul or physical being depends upon. These, when kept in the ideal of self, are proper.
39. (Q) Any further advice to this body at this time? (A) Study to show self approved unto that which is the Creative influence in the experience of every soul. Be true to self; thou wilt not be false to any.
40. We are through for the present.
