Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [315].
2. Now, in the general physical forces of the body we find there are specific disturbing conditions.
3. These, as we shall see, have varied effects upon the general functioning of the system.
4. While these disturbing conditions have not as yet assumed alarming proportions (and produce rather that of dis-ease throughout the system in the varying manners as portions of the body are affected), as we find, correction may be made in the present that would insure the eradication of these disturbing factors and bring about a much nearer and a more normal functioning; thus fitting the body physically for the immediate and future needs, for physical and mental as well as spiritual developments.
5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [315], we are speaking of:
6. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, the indications are of the tendencies towards anemia.
7. While it may not be called wholly an anemic condition, the lack of a balance through the metabolism of the system shows for a weakened vitality and low resistance throughout the system.
8. Hence the body becomes easily wearied, and the resultant conditions are oftentimes those of loss of appetite, headaches, feeling of some nausea at times, and tendencies towards constipation; with disturbances occasionally in the kidneys and the organs of the pelvis.
9. These, as indicated, are rather GENERAL conditions seen from conditions in the blood supply; and are the effect rather than the cause of these conditions exhibited in the system.
10. In the NERVE SYSTEM, these we also find somewhat under the same character of stress and strain that is seen in various portions of the system; as at times or periods it
315-2 Page 2
becomes necessary for the body to force self even to carry on in the various activities that are required of the body in its daily activity. Tired feelings exist, even after rest. It is not always so that the normal rest comes to the body. The body is irritated at little things, that - as the body realizes itself - should NOT cause such irritations. There is the feeling of tingling sensations over the body following such emotions that arise from those conditions which produce unseeming worry to the activities.
11. These then are, again, as we find, rather effects than causes; though, in the general applications for the body, these will be well to be considered in bringing about that toning up for the system, that there may be the proper distribution of regenerated forces AS those specific conditions that exist ARE eliminated - and as there is the regeneration and the reaction throughout the body.
12. As we find, then, there are rather those specific disturbances in the functioning of organs, produced by a specific condition in the alimentary canal.
13. Not that we have as yet an acute condition in the gall bladder, but there HAS been and is existent those cretaceous formations in the gall duct and gall bladder itself - that make for a specific disturbance in the functioning of the liver, as related to the digestive system; and poisons that accumulate in the various portions of the body through this disturbed circulation make for accumulations in various portions of the system, such as to sap the vitality of the system and to prevent the normal distribution of the assimilated forces, or the proper replenishing for the body, and make for the general disturbances through the system.
14. This condition also produces the tendencies for the colon itself to be rather in the state where prolapsus may easily occur for the body.
15. Rather than dilation, rather than irritation in the muco-membranes of the intestine or of the colon itself, there is that tendency for a dry accumulation in various portions of the system; as seen in the caecum area, as seen in the turn of the upper transverse area, and as seen - especially - in that close to the heart's activity, or on the left side of the body as it enters the descending area.
16. These are the conditions and the specific conditions that we find are to be met in bringing about corrections for this body.
17. First, then, as we would find, we would prepare and use for the body a compound with the following ingredients in each dose, or each capsule; letting one day elapse between the dosage or each capsule, and taking three in all (which
315-2 Page 3
would cover a six day period): Podophyllum................1/4 grain, Leptandrin.................1/2 grain, Cascara Sagrada............1/2 grain, Senna......................1/4 grain.
18. This quantity would be in each capsule, and would be taken in the specific manner outlined.
19. During those days when this is taken, or during those periods when these capsules are being taken, there should be at least eight to ten glasses of water taken each day. To be sure, this compound with this quantity of water will make for an overactivity of the kidneys, as well as CLEANSING the system rather thoroughly - see?
20. The day after this (that is, allowing one day to elapse after the third dose is taken, see? which would be on the eighth day), begin with small quantities of Fletcher's Castoria. Take one-half teaspoonful every hour until nine hundred drops or one bottle - small bottle - has been taken, see?
21. After these properties have acted thoroughly, we would begin with thorough massage and manipulations every other day. These especially would be taken in the manner of the general masseur's treatment with OSTEOPATHIC adjustments at the same time; or the osteopath giving a GENERAL treatment with the general adjustments along the whole of the cerebrospinal system, see?
22. We would also begin at the same time with those specific EXERCISES for the head and neck. These would be other than the osteopathic manipulation, which would be given in the upper dorsal and whole of cervical area for the eyes and sensory system - for these specific treatments will relieve the eyestrain and make for better conditions. The head and neck exercise would be taken night and morning also, see? Two to three movements forward - slowly, systematically; two to three movements backward; two to three to the left; two to three to the right; then the circular motion right and left. These may be best taken when the body is ready to retire, and just before arising of morning - see?
23. Also during this period we would begin to take small quantities of olive oil - pure olive oil; half to a quarter teaspoonful before each meal.
24. And eat the meals! Let the meals, or the diet, be rather in this line:
25. Mornings - citrous fruit juices, tomato juice or the like, followed with the yolk of egg and a little crisp bacon occasionally - or cakes, or fresh fruits.
315-2 Page 4
26. Do not eat stewed fruits with citrous fruit juices, or at the same meal. Fresh fruits may be taken. Also at this period there may be taken any stimulating drink, as a cereal drink - preferably such as Ovaltine.
27. During the morning hours do not take any soft drinks, but malted milk may me taken - with an egg, though do not include the white of egg in same - see?
28. Noons - vegetable soups or meat soups, that may be taken with brown bread, and buttermilk or its equivalent - Bulgarian milk, or those that are pre-digested or that make for digestion.
29. Evenings - let the meal be well-balanced vegetables, any of those that grow above and below the ground; but have at least TWO above the ground for each ONE grown UNDER the ground!
30. Half an hour after the evening meal is eaten, take a level teaspoonful of AL-CAROID - first dissolved in a little water and taken with a glass of water, followed with two full glasses of water besides - at the same time.
31. Follow these directions consistently, persistently.
32. It will not be necessary to take more of the osteopathic manipulations than at least three weeks.
33. We will find that we will cleanse the system thoroughly.
34. Do not begin the manipulations until the body has been cleansed thoroughly, see?
35. Ready for questions.
36. (Q) Begin with the olive oil when the manipulations are begun? (A) When the manipulations are begun. Do not begin with the AL-CAROID until after beginning with the regular diet, FOLLOWING the first or second treatment from the osteopath.
37. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " File
