1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [317], present in this room, and those conditions as surround this body - especially regarding establishing a school at or near Virginia Beach. You will answer the questions which we will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [317] - and those conditions as are contemplative or formative in the mind of the body as respecting school at or near Virginia Beach.

3. There are many possibilities as respecting such an undertaking, and the body [317] is efficient and peculiarly adapted to the work of such a school as is contemplated - BOYS!

4. There are many channels through which assistance might be gained for such an undertaking. There are many reasons why such an undertaking would be plausible, feasible, reasonable, and worth while. The better channels would be for the body to interest not only individuals, but the town and the county also, in such an undertaking. Well that the approach be made through the legal representative of the TOWN, [Willard R. Ashburn], and with the backing - and with the information as may be had concerning such - there should be no reason why the body [317] should not be able, even in a greater or lesser degree, to open in the Fall session, or lay the plans whereby in the NEXT session to have a full attendance in same. Well were these conditions, these surroundings, these possibilities, taken up with [165] of Chicago - now on the seas. In and through this channel may there be gained assistance and aid, as WELL as through these channels the body [317] has in mind to approach concerning such.

5. As to place, location, building, etc., THESE would be BETTER to be worked out with Ashburn - and this may be made possible through the efforts of those that would assist in such an undertaking. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) Will my age and lack of adequate preparation be a hindrance?

(A) Rather would it be helpful at the present time, provided the SINCERITY of purpose and personality is presented first.

7. (Q) Shall we rent or try to buy and build for the first year? (A) As is given, this condition would be best worked out with the cooperation of the town - and especially the citizenship and committee as will be appointed to look into the feasibility and plausibility of the undertaking.

8. (Q) How much will be needed to get the school started? (A) All that will be able to obtain! but start with what you have in hand if you would have an undertaking that would be worth while! or what will be able to be acquired in interesting of others, as it will be when such conditions are approached through the proper channels, as has been outlined. Taking first into confidence, then, the ones as outlined, see? Then as soon as plausible and possible have an interview with [165], bringing him into association with those of the local peoples to boost and assist in getting the proper background, see?

Do that! for it can be made the success!

9. (Q) Any further advice for this body? (A) Have the ideal well in hand to present. The formulation of how to use same will be presented by the ones that are interested. Work it, then, through the channels as given, and there will come great things from THIS undertaking. We are through for the present.
