1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [322], present in this room, who comes seeking advice, counsel and guidance for the betterment of his material affairs. You will answer the questions which he will ask regarding these.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [322], present in this room. In seeking, much may be given as respecting the activities of the body in its various phases of endeavor, and in connection with the various problems as are met - and TO be met - from the material standpoint.

3. First, as we would find, in and about the present surroundings - with all conditions and circumstances considered - would be the better field of endeavor. While there are some fields in which the activities of the body itself have been expended in that direction in which the greater portion of the labors of the present life might RECEIVE, or have for the moment the reception that the remuneration would be increased, yet in MANY ways - as respecting self and those associated with self and their endeavors - the present surroundings offer the better field of activity for all concerned; also the efforts of the body in directions as relating to social service - and the associated connections as come with such - offer an outlet for the entity and body in its expansion and development. Would [if] these very outlets of expansion [would] be used as stepping-stones for connections and associations, and while not DEMANDS would be made but that as may be considered rather the exchange of ideas and aids in the directions that so contacted would make for an outlet of the efforts in its general activities, as to the building, as to the planning of, as to the construction of those plans for the efforts, these WOULD - in a very A DEFINITE way - bring an increase of remuneration through such sources, such channels; and this, as we find, would be the better manner for an expansion of that business association and relations.

4. Too, in connection with the general construction that has

322-1 Page 2

to do with those things of the municipal activities, as has to do with the social service and community activities, these would also be the channels through which these various activities of the body should receive more consideration than HAS been heretofore - or of late, especially; but is there [if there is] that pressing of self forward [it would be the better], not in the way and manner as to be objectionable, as to appear over-anxious, but rather in that way and manner as the services are given in association and in connection with those that would make for the success of the operations in those various activities in which all join, and in which the body has shown much concern! We would not relinquish any of those activities in that direction, yet we would USE - not abuse; but USE those associations and those connections to make FOR an expansion of the activities! and in this way and manner, as we find, would be that suggestion, that counsel to the body, as in those material directions. Ready for questions.

5. (Q) Is commercial building or residence building my proper field? (A) The residence building, for the activities of this particular body - as we find - is the better outlet; and, as will be seen, more in keeping with those suggestions as have been given, in that the use of - or the ASSOCIATIONS of the entity, or body and body-mind - GIVE an outlet, and a way and manner in which the greater activities may be had by the body as respecting same; for in the abilities to lay out those that become to individuals not just a place to "hang out" - just a place to stop over but as HOMES, as a place where there is the crystallizing of ideals, the building of characters, the foundations for those things that must bring into the lives of those that become associated with such surroundings, that which makes for the more BEAUTIFUL things in life. As beauty appeals to the body, so make in those constructions, those laying of plans, those concrete ideas as may be presented by individuals, as in studying their needs, their wants, their desire, so may there be laid out in those of the plans, those of the constructions for such individuals, that which will not ONLY bring for SELF more of this world's goods, but that satisfaction also that the body has lent something of self and self's abilities to others, in building that which must tell in the lives of those yet to come!

6. (Q) Wherein lies my failure? (A) This may be termed, in a manner, TIMIDITY on the part of the body, in that which is of its, the body's, just dues by the labors expended, by the efforts made, and these

should have the proper consideration. There is, as is known by observation on the part of the body, a tendency for man in a busy world to too easily forget that source, that one, that group or individuals THROUGH whom, OF whom, they have obtained aid, help and assistance to reach or gain that as has been desired by them - and the POSSESSION of that as is done is held in sight. Then, by more open activity in GENTLE suggestions - as the natural inclinations of the individual are to be gentle, as the natural inclinations are to be retiring - yet a little more effort; not to become obtrusive, to be sure, but rather that there is a gentle demand of those whom the body aids in other directions, with whom the body associates in aiding MANY in many directions, that in the body's OWN efforts, in the body's OWN endeavors of that OWN work as must be accomplished through the body's CHANNELS of labors, must others give considerations to that as is to be accomplished also! In that way and manner will the body not only overcome many of those little slights that have at times been inclined to make the body feel rather "What's the use? They are not appreciative," but keep the heart SINGING all the while, and know that as the words spoken that poureth oil upon troubled waters, so may that gentle hint to those that there are needs for self and those about self, as well as those who are being aided - but is desired through the proper channels and relationships. Then we will see these change, not only in self but in that which COMES to the body in its efforts, bringing contentment. Do not be satisfied with less than the best!

7. (Q) Am I devoting too much of my time to committee or community work? (A) Not devoting too much, provided that advantage is taken OF those associations as brought about in committee work, in community work; taking advantage of that insight as is given into the affairs of others, and use same - Don't abuse! but use same!

8. (Q) Shall I employ mental attraction? (A) This is well, and is what we have been giving - that this IS a manner IN which these attractions, these EFFECTS, bring about that as is set in MOTION BY such hints, such activities, as to bring the desires and the needs; and, as given, know - as self is expended in these directions - that there is being brought that contentment that will grow, and grow, in the hearts and minds - and souls - OF those whom the entity, the body, assists in the various undertakings. Consider well the CHARACTER of seed, sown, and the HARVEST will be in keeping with that cultivated in a proper manner; for, as is seen, as has been outlined, with the proper

322-1 Page 4

cultivation of the contacts made through the endeavors of the body in aiding others, SELF may ALSO be aided, will [if] those CULTIVATED associations [will] be directed into the channel as will bring the harvest for the body.

9. (Q) Would I do better with a partner in business? (A) Two heads are always better than one, if one is a sheep's head! This may apply well in this case also; PROVIDED, however, that such an association would have the same CHARACTER of IDEALS to work from! While there may be those of various factors in the associations of the body in various fields of endeavor, but working as a union - or of one - this would be very well.

10. (Q) Any other advice that would be of benefit to this body at this time? (A) Keep the heart singing with the work that is set before thee, knowing that those lendings of self in aid for others is LENDING to the Lord; and he that is on the Lord's side need fear none that resist him!
